Abstract

Employee retention is an important issue for manufacturing companies, especially in the face of a shortage of qualified workers. The company's ability to retain potential employees is crucial, because retaining competent employees is more effective than looking for new employees. Career development and employee well-being programs are considered important factors in increasing loyalty and job satisfaction, which in turn can reduce employee turnover rates. This study aims to examine the influence of career development and welfare programs on employee retention in manufacturing companies. The research method used was qualitative with a purposive sampling approach, involving 60 respondents who worked for more than two years. The variables studied included career development (dedication, commitment, passion, and learning) as well as welfare programs (salary, supervision, co-workers, and communication), which were associated with employee retention (working conditions, vision and mission, work attitudes, and work assessments). The results of the study show that clear career development and supportive wellbeing programs significantly increase employee commitment, loyalty, and retention. The practical implications of these findings are the importance of companies offering appropriate career development opportunities and adequate wellbeing programs to create a productive work environment and high employee loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of knowledge management and change management on labor agility in manufacturing companies. Knowledge management includes the acquisition, dissemination, and application of information that is essential for decision-making and employee collaboration. On the other hand, change management focuses on the company's ability to adapt to market and technological dynamics. Workforce agility is considered the ability of employees to adapt quickly and flexibly to changes that occur. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the main instrument, which includes indicators of workforce agility, knowledge management, and change management. The data was analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with SmartPLS software. The results show that change management has a significant and positive effect on workforce agility, while knowledge management has no significant influence in this context. This indicates that an effective change management strategy determines workforce agility more than knowledge management. This research suggests the importance of implementing inclusive and sustainable change strategies and optimizing knowledge management through technology-based approaches and practical training. Thus, manufacturing companies can increase their competitiveness in the face of dynamic industry challenges.

Abstract

This study was conducted in the household tofu production industry located in Kp. Cijambe, RT/RW 011/005, Desa Sukadami, Kecamatan Cikarang Selatan, Kabupaten Bekasi. Its objectives were to enhance productivity and hygiene standards in the tofu production process and to provide better understanding of business management to tofu artisans. The approach involved direct mentoring through training in the implementation of hygienic standard operating procedures (SOP), the use of personal protective equipment, and the optimization of production processes by reorganizing equipment layout and improving raw material efficiency. The findings demonstrated a 30% increase in productivity and significant improvements in hygiene standards within the production area through consistent sanitation of equipment and the work environment. This implementation proved that focused training and structured business management can enhance the quality of tofu production. Continued training and independent business management are recommended to sustain the achieved production standards.
