Abstract

21st-century skills are crucial for effectively transforming Arabic language learning in the digital age. This study aims to describe the changes in students' critical thinking abilities and Arabic language learning outcomes using Quizlet media. The research subjects were all Madrasah Diniyah Nurul Huda Dinoyo Malang- Indonesia students, focusing on the mubtada and khabar lesson material. The research method was a quantitative descriptive approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection involved administering pretest and posttest questions with critical thinking indicators, including analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. The indicators for Arabic language learning outcomes were basic vocabulary skills, grammar, and the ability to analyze grammatical errors. The results indicated that the average score for students' critical thinking ability in the pretest was 18.3 (low critical thinking). In contrast, in the posttest, it was 30.00 (moderate critical thinking). As for the Arabic language learning outcomes, the pretest score was 44.67 (below the minimum completion score), and the posttest score was 81.33 (above the minimum completion score). Quizlet media can enhance students' critical thinking skills and Arabic language learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran intensif bahasa arab untuk santri baru di Pesantren Al-Mawaddah Blitar. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adanya perencanaan pembelajaran meliputi penentuan tujuan, bahan materi, media pembelajaran, dan metode pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran ada tiga kategori diantaranya; kegiatan harian yaitu islahul lughoh, ilqoul mufrodat dan pembimbingan kamar; kegiatan mingguan yaitu ada  materi bahasa per angkatan, diniyah, dan muhadloroh; kegiatan bulanan ada imtihan syahriyyah. Evaluasi program intensif bahasa arab adalah santri baru dapat memperoleh banyak kosakata yang dapat diterapkan pada kegiatan berbahasa sehari-hari. Santri baru mendapat biah lughawiyah yang menerapkan kedisplinan sehingga terbawa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu,  dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi program intensif bahasa arab di Pesantren Al-Mawaddah Blitar efektif untuk diterapkan untuk santri baru.

Abstract

Community service through the Student Work Course (KKM) at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang aims to improve human resources and community welfare. One of the KKM activities is a religious moderation seminar at MAN 1 Kota Kediri on May 4, 2024. This seminar, attended by 30 participants from various student organizations, aims to strengthen the understanding of religious moderation among students to address social and religious challenges. The seminar planning includes selecting speakers, themes, event structure, and target participants. Luthfi Dharmawan, an expert in religious moderation, was the main speaker. The seminar, themed "Talking Religion Without Drama: Navigating Moderation in Everyday Life," lasted two hours and discussed the importance of understanding, truth, and wisdom in religion. The results showed increased student awareness of religious moderation and helped the madrasa disseminate moderation values. Recommendations include expanding the seminar's reach in the future.
