Abstract

Because they allow for the use of the scientific method in performing inquiries and are anticipated to be able to pick up new information, science process skills are crucial for pupils. This study's goal was to explain how well students could apply their knowledge of marine environmental physics to static fluid content for class XI SMA Negeri 2 Dumai. This kind of study uses a non-equivalent posttest only control group design in a quasi-experimental setting. All 288 students in class XI at SMA Negeri 2 Dumai were included in the population. To identify the populace, a simple random sampling technique is employed. The experimental group's posttest mean score for scientific process skills (M = 61.80, SD=11.92) is greater than the control group's posttest mean score for those same skills (M = 50.35, SD=13.63). According to the findings, classes using marine contextual learning have better pupil scientific process skills than classes using traditional learning. When viewed from a gender viewpoint, there is no clear variation between the science process skills of male and female students.

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, khususnya dalam mata pelajaran sains. Minat yang rendah berkontribusi pada prestasi akademik yang kurang memuaskan, sehingga pendekatan inovatif diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada topik Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan Tanaman dengan menggunakan metode Project-Based Learning (PjBL). PjBL memungkinkan siswa terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran melalui proyek nyata, seperti penanaman microgreen. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimental dengan dua kelompok: eksperimen yang menerapkan PjBL dan kontrol dengan metode konvensional. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam minat belajar siswa di kelompok eksperimen, dengan skor rata-rata pre-test meningkat dari 60,09 menjadi 74,09 setelah intervensi. Uji statistik menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok, yang menegaskan efektivitas PjBL dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi sains. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan PjBL sebagai strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, yang penting untuk mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi tantangan masa depan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are as follows. First, to describe the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Quizizz media on the mastery of factual and opinion sentences in news texts. Second, to describe the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Quizizz media on the mastery of factual and opinion sentences for students with high reading interest. Third, to describe the influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Quizizz media on the mastery of factual and opinion sentences for students with low reading interest. Fourth, to explain the interaction between the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Quizizz media and reading interest on the mastery of factual and opinion sentences in news texts. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental method. The population of this study were students of class VII of UPTD SMP Negeri 1, Harau District who were registered in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample in this study was class VII.F as the experimental class and class VII.E as the control class. The instruments used in this study were a reading interest questionnaire and an objective test of factual and opinion sentences in news texts. The data collection technique in this study was that students in the control class and experimental class answered questions in the reading interest questionnaire. Furthermore, students answered questions on the objective test of factual and opinion sentences in news texts. The data analysis process was carried out by utilizing the IMB SPSS Statistics 25 application. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion in this study, several conclusions can be drawn. First, there is an influence of the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by the Quizizz media on the mastery of factual and opinion sentences in news texts of class VII students of UPTD SMP Negeri 1, Harau District with a sig value (0.001) smaller than 0.05. Second, there is an influence of the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by the Quizizz media on the mastery of factual and opinion sentences in news texts of class VII students of UPTD SMP Negeri 1, Harau District who have high reading interest with a sig value (0.001) smaller than 0.05. Third, there is an influence of the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by the Quizizz media on the mastery of factual and opinion sentences in news texts of class VII students of UPTD SMP Negeri 1, Harau District who have low reading interest with a sig value (0.046) smaller than 0.05. Fourth, there is no interaction between the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by Quizizz media and reading interest in influencing the mastery of factual and opinion sentences in news texts of class VII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1, Harau District.

Abstract

The minimum service standards (MSS) for drug service- waiting time (26,16%) has not been achieved and the low usage of free delivery services (RAOS SAE) led Pharmacy Department to improve the services with lean hospital management approach. This research aimed to shorten the drug service waiting time at JKN outpatient pharmacy unit with lean hospital management concept. This research was designed with Participation action research (PAR) approach. The data obtained through observations and interviews, analyzed by comparing the waiting time of prescription screening and drug service time with independent t-test comparison.  There were 4 wastes resolved out of 8 wastes that successfully identified, They were; flow of personnel and prescriptions which did not match the process (motion and transportation), The time for  prescriptions screening (waiting) is too long, and the officer could not do the job effectively because of the slowness of online system. (Non Uti talent). The result of implementation decreased the waiting time of prescription screening from 73 minutes to 61 minutes, and the mean of drug service waiting time decreased from 101 minutes to 63 minutes. Comparing the data before and after lean management application for prescription screening waiting time did not statistically different p>0,05 (p=0,057), this activity increased the usage of RAOS SAE, reducing the number of overtime officer at JKN outpatient pharmacy unit. The implementation of lean hospital management reduced drug service waiting time, even though unachieved the MSS yet. There were external factors that could not be controlled causing insignificant decreases. Several improvements need to be done to achieve the established standards.

Abstract

The phenomenon of low procedural text writing skills among students indicates an urgent need for a learning approach that can accommodate the diverse learning needs of students. This study aims to improve the ability to write procedural texts through differentiated learning for seventh-grade students of UPTD SMPN 3 Kecamatan Harau. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study are 26 students from class VII.1. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, performance tests on writing, and documentation. The research instruments included observation sheets for teacher and student activities, interview guidelines, and a rubric for assessing procedural text writing. Data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate an improvement in students' procedural text writing skills, both in terms of structure, content, and language, after the implementation of differentiated learning. This is evident from the increase in the average scores of student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, as well as the increased active involvement of students in the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that differentiated learning is effective in improving students' procedural text writing skills, as it can optimally accommodate students' interests, needs, and learning profiles.

Abstract

One of the key initiatives to regulate the healthcare system in Indonesia is the establishment of the National Health System, implemented through the BPJS program. Previous research has investigated the impact of healthcare service quality in hospitals on patient satisfaction among BPJS participants. This scoping review aims to map existing research on the relationship between service quality and BPJS patient satisfaction in hospitals. The stages of a scoping review consist of (1) Formulating the research question; (2) Identifying relevant literature; (3) Selecting studies; (4) Mapping the data; and (5) Summarizing, synthesizing, and reporting the results. The studies included in this review cover eight years from 2015 to 2023. The results indicate that all dimensions of service quality significantly influence patient satisfaction (Lahdji et al., 2015; Mukaromah et al., 2022; Natassa & Dwijayanti, 2019; Putri et al., 2016; Tridiyawati & Prahasta, 2022). However, as highlighted by Amalia et al. (2023), Fajri (2016), Pramita et al. (2019), Rahmadani et al. (2021), and Widyastuti et al. (2018), certain dimensions of service quality have a notable impact on patient satisfaction, while others do not.
