Abstract

The automotive industry is growing rapidly. Produce changes, especially in the level of Safety and comfort. Vehicle manufacturers are competing to improve the quality of the components used in these vehicles. One aspect of Safety and comfort is the Safety and comfort of the vehicle's wheels, in addition to an attractive wheel design. Therefore, the material used on the wheels is high-quality, with precise calculations and correct designs. Vehicle wheels are one of the main components in vehicles because vehicles without wheels cannot run. There are two kinds of wheels: spoke wheels (spoke wheels) and cast wheels. This study aims to determine how to design cast wheel wheels type MT and WM and analyze material comparison and the number of spokes based on simulation using the software. The simulation results show the design of the MT-type cast wheel: the maximum stress value on the 7050-T7651 aluminum alloy material is 426.784 MPa, and on the 7075-T6 (SN) aluminum alloy material, which is 426.784 MPa, it is still within the safe limit because it is still below the value yield strength. In the design of the WM-type cast wheel, the maximum stress value on aluminum alloy type 7050-T7651 is 362085 MPa. On aluminum alloy material type 7075-T6 (SN), which is 362,085 MPa, it is still within safe limits because it is still below the yield strength value. The maximum strain value for the two materials used is 3.987 x 100-6, and the maximum displacement value for both materials is 9.959 x 100-4. The highest factor of safety value on WM 5 spoke wheels with aluminum alloy type 7050 –T7651 is 1.76

Abstract

Pempek merupakan salah satu makanan yang banyak mengandung gizi yang bermanfaat bagi tubuh karena terbuat dari daging ikan, telur dan tepung terigu, pempek dengan rasa yang unik banyak digemari beberapa elemen masyarakat. Dampak dari Covid-19 ini juga sangat terasa bagi UMKM Pempek Mangcek, karena penjualan dengan keliling kota Jember. Tujuan dari Program Kemitraan Masyarakat Stimulus ini untuk mengoptimalisasi penjualan dengan cara digital marketing dan penggunaan vacuum sealer untuk mengawetkan makanan. Hasil yang didapat saat ini sudah mulai terlihat dengan cara penjualan online melalui go-food dan grabfood, usaha yang di lakukan mitra saat ini tidak hanya manual dengan berjualan keliling menggunakan motor tetapi juga menggunakan dunia digital.

Abstract

Serbuk Gergaji merupakan salah satu limbah pada proses penggergajian kayu. Pabrik penggergajian kayu yang banyak bertebaran di Jember menghasilkan limbah serbuk gergaji yang banyak. Seiring dengan rencana pemerintah menggunakan energi terbarukan maka limbah serbuk gergaji ini bisa digunakan sebagai sumber energi berupa pelet biomasa. Kegiatan ini telah melakukan pembuatan pelet biomasa berbahan serbuk gergaji kayu Sengon untuk menjadi pelet dengan permesinan. Pelet biomasa yang dihasilkan adalah dengan perekat tetes tebu. Proses pembuatan pellet biomasa berbahan baku serbuk gergaji kayu Sengon memerlukan pengulangan. Kelembaban serbuk gergaji mempengaruhi proses pembuatan pada mesin. Proses pencampuran serbuk gergaji dengan tetes tebu harus merata dan homogen. Hasil campuran yang sesuai mempermudah proses di mesin pellet sehingga menghasilakn pellet yang berkualitas. Kegiatan ini telah berhasil memulai proses pembuatan pellet biomasa di kabupaten Jember

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengenalkan para petani di Desa Gadingrejo, Kecamatan Umbulsari, Kabupaten Jember lebih sadar akan pentingnya penggunaan pupuk organik. Pupuk organik merupakan salah satu jenis pupuk yang berasal dari sumber alami. Kegiatan ini bekerjasama dengan kelompok tani jeruk sebagai target pengguna pupuk organik yang sering kesulitan pupuk kimia. Manfaat dari penggunakan pupuk organik ini adalah dapat memperbaiki dan mempertahankan kesuburan tanah. Penyuluhan pelatihan dan praktik pembuatan pupuk organik ini dilakukan dengan cara sosialisasi, pemberian materi, dan praktik pembuatan bersama. Hasil dari kegiatan tersebut petani mampu menghasilkan pupuk organik dengan baik dan benar yaitu pupuk yang dihasilkan dalam kondisi remah, berwarna coklat kehitaman dan tidak berbau kotoran.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu peternak kambing dalam pemberian pakan. Bantuan mesin pencacah rumput dapat membantu pekerjaan peternak kambing agar lebih cepat dalam memotong pakan ternak. Peternak mengeluh karena pakan yang diberikan tidak dimakan dengan baik dan habis. Hal ini dikarenakan pakan yang diberikan masih berupa pakan yang utuh, panjang sehingga kambing mengalami kesulitan saat melahapnya. Mencacah pakan solusi yang tepat agar kambing bisa melahap semua makanan yang diberikan. Pakan yang berukuran kecil kecil memudahkan kambing sehingga setiap pakan yang diberikan habis. Selain itu kambing mudah mencerna karena ukurannya yang kecil. Harapannya bobot kambing akan meningkat dalam waktu yang singkat jika pemberian pakan dalam ukuran yang kecil kecil. Kondisi ini akan meningkatkan keuntungan peternak sehingga kehidupan ekonomi semakin meningkat.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect  various fusing  joint types over the tensile force  and impact toughness of low carbon metal SS400 utilise Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) method. Three joint types were tested double Bevel groove, double V groove, double U groove, using 100A current and E6013 electrode with a diameter of 2,6 mm. The test were conducted at the state polytechnic of Malang. The tensile test results showed that the double Bevel joint had the highest tensil strength, with a maximum value of 11.626 Mpa. Meanwhile, the umpact test revealed the highest energy absorption at 127.468 Joules or 2.12 Joules/mm2 for the same joint type. The study concludes that the double Bevel groove joint provides the best mechanical performance for SS400 steel, making it the most recommended option for applications requiring high resistance to tensil and impact loads.

Abstract

AbstrakUsaha “Tempe Pak Yadi” merupakan salah satu bidang usaha pembuatan tempe yang ada di Kabupaten Jember. Usaha “Tempe Pak Yadi” yang saat ini dikelola Bapak Jumriadi mampu menghasilkan sekitar 225 tempe perharinya dengan menggunakan 50 kg kedelai. Selama ini, proses fermentasi kedelai pada usaha “Tempe Pak Yadi” masih dilakukan secara manual atau konvensial yaitu dengan penempatan kedelai yang sudah dikemas di atas papan dalam sebuah ruangan.   Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan dengan pengelola usaha “Tempe Pak Yadi”, salah satu masalah dalam pembuatan tempe yang dialami oleh usaha “Tempe Pak Yadi” dalam proses produksi tempe adalah pada cuaca yang suhu dan kelembabannya tidak menentu. Pada kondisi cuaca tidak menentu, perubahan suhu dan kelembaban didalam ruangan proses fermentasi tempe menjadi fluktuatif sehingga mengakibatkan tempe tidak bisa terbentuk tepat pada waktunya dan kualitasnya juga berkurang. Permasalahan lainnya yang dialami oleh usaha “Tempe Pak Yadi” selaku mitra yaitu kurangnya pengetahuan tentang adanya teknologi yang dapat mengatur suhu secara otomatis pada proses fermentasi kedelai.  Berdasarkan permasalahan mitra tersebut, tim pengabdian ingin membantu memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra tersebut dengan cara: 1) Menerapkan teknologi tepat guna berupa alat pengatur suhu otomatis pada proses fermentasi kedelai dan 2) Memberikan sosialisasi terkait manfaat, cara penggunaan, dan perawatan alat pengatur suhu otomatis untuk proses fermentasi kedelai pada pembuatan tempe. Adapun rangkaian pelaksanaan pengabdian yang dilakukan yaitu survey lapangan, perencanaan, pembuatan alat, ujicoba alat, sosialisasi terkait alat, dan serah terima alat. Hasil uji alat menunjukkan bahwa alat dapat bekerja dengan baik seperti yang diharapkan. Kata kunci: fermentasi kedelai; pengatur suhu; teknologi tepat guna; tempe AbstractThe "Pak Yadi Tempe" business is one of the tempe making businesses in Jember Regency. The "Tempeh Pak Yadi" business which is currently managed by Mr Jumriadi is capable of producing around 225 tempeh per day using 50 kg of soybeans. So far, the soybean fermentation process in the "Tempe Pak Yadi" business is still carried out manually or conventionally, namely by placing the packaged soybeans on a board in a room. Based on the results of interviews conducted with the manager of the "Tempe Pak Yadi" business, one of the problems in making tempeh experienced by the "Tempe Pak Yadi" business in the tempe production process is the weather where the temperature and humidity are unpredictable. In uncertain weather conditions, changes in temperature and humidity in the tempeh fermentation process become fluctuating, resulting in tempeh not being able to form on time and its quality also being reduced. Another problem experienced by the "Tempe Pak Yadi" business as a partner is the lack of knowledge about the existence of technology that can regulate temperature automatically in the soybean fermentation process. Based on the partner's problems, the service team wants to help provide solutions to the problems faced by these partners by: 1) Applying appropriate technology in the form of an automatic temperature control device in the soybean fermentation process and 2) Providing outreach regarding the benefits, how to use and care for the control device automatic temperature for the soybean fermentation process in making tempeh. The series of service implementation carried out were field survey, planning, tool making, tool testing, tool related outreach, and tool handover. Abstract

The demand for fossil energy sources continues to increase, which causes scarcity of these resources because they cannot be renewed. In Indonesia, waste rice straw and rice husks are abundant and have potential as a renewable energy source if converted into charcoal briquettes. However, currently the charcoal briquettes produced have not reached the desired level of efficiency to replace fossil fuels. Therefore, research was carried out to develop biomass energy by mixing zeolite in charcoal briquettes. This research aims to develop charcoal briquettes as an energy source from biomass. In this study, the calorific value of charcoal briquettes from rice straw with a 25% zeolite mixture had the lowest calorific value, namely 3941.2 cal/gram, while charcoal briquettes from rice straw without a zeolite mixture had the highest calorific value, namely 4581.8 cal/gram . The same thing happened to charcoal briquettes from rice husks, with the highest calorific value in charcoal briquettes without a zeolite mixture of 5390.5 cal/gram, and the lowest calorific value in charcoal briquettes mixed with 25% zeolite of 4469.1 cal/gram. The density of rice straw charcoal briquettes with a 25% zeolite mixture has the highest density value, namely 0.338 g/cm3, while rice straw charcoal briquettes without a zeolite mixture have the lowest density, namely 0.199 g/cm3. Likewise, charcoal briquettes from rice husks have the highest density in a 25% zeolite mixture with a value of 0.545 g/cm3, and the lowest density in charcoal briquettes without a zeolite mixture is 0.284 g/cm3.

Abstract

Biomass is a type of solid waste that is used as an alternative energy source to replace fossil fuels (petroleum) because it can be renewed. Biopellets are a renewable fuel that comes from biomass. The aim of this research is to determine the characteristics of coconut waste biopellets. young with the addition of zeolite variations. The research method used is experimental research. The zeolite material used has 6 dosage variations, namely 0% (0 gram), 5% (2.5 grams), 10% (5 grams), 15% (7.5 grams) , 20% (10 grams), 25% (12.5 grams), with fixed variations from 50 grams of young coconut waste, tapioca flour adhesive and 20 grams of sugar cane molasses. The best burning rate of young coconut waste biopellets was obtained with the T 5 biopellet composition with a molasses adhesive composition with the addition of 5% zeolite with a value of 0.017% g/s. and the lowest water content value is found with the T 25 biopellet composition using molasses adhesive with a 25% zeolite mixture. And the best ash content value can be with P 0 biopellet composition using tapioca flour adhesive without zeolite mixture with a value of 3.32%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of remapping maximum engine speed with standard ECU variations and ECU remapping on the performance of a 110cc injection motorbike engine. In this research, dynotest testing was carried out on 110cc injection motorbikes of various types of standard Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and standard Electronic Control Unit (ECU) by taking test results at engine speeds of 3000 rpm-8000 rpm with a range of 1000 rpm. The calculation method is to calculate power and torque. The test results using a dynotest tool based on power and torque obtained data as above, where the highest power and torque from the standard ECU variable was obtained at 7.4 HP and the highest torque at 9.38 Nm. Meanwhile, using the standard ECU remap, the highest power is 7.6 hp and the highest torque is 9.52. The results of the dynotest test and also calculations from Origin Pro with a comparison using a standard ECU and a remap standard ECU concluded that the use of a remap standard ECU can provide an increase in power and torque in the motorbike engine. When using a standard ECU remap, the results show that the standard ECU that has been remapped actually provides higher improvement results than the standard ECU that has not been remapped.
