Abstract

Background: Hand eczema is an inflammation of the skin that is limited to the hands and/or wrists. Since the pandemic began, washing hands is one of the actions that can be taken as an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. With the increasing frequency of hand washing by health workers during the pandemic, it is important to evaluate the risk of developing hand eczema in health personnel.Subjects and Method: Meta-analysis was carried out according to the PRISMA flow chart and the PICO model (Population: health workers, Intervention: high frequency of hand washing, Comparison: low frequency of hand washing, Outcome: Hand eczema). The databases used are Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, Proquest, and Science Direct. Keywords used (hand hygiene) OR (frequency hand washing) AND (hand eczema). There were 17 cross-sectional studies published in 2018 to 2022 that met the inclusion criteria. Analysis was performed with Revman 5.3. Results: A meta-analysis was performed on 17 cross-sectional studies from China, Turkey, India, Thailand, Denmark, Sweden, Bulgaria and Ethiopia. The total sample size is 31,154. A meta-analysis of 10 cross-sectional studies concluded that hand hygiene with a frequency of 8 to 10 times per day has a 1.46 times the risk of having hand eczema compared to hand hygiene with a frequency of <8 times per day (aOR=1.46; 95% CI 1.46 to 1.80; p<0.001). A meta-analysis of 10 cross-sectional studies concluded that hand hygiene with a frequency of 15 to 20 times per day has a 1.58 times the risk of experiencing hand hygiene compared to a frequency of <15 times per day (aOR=1.58; 95% CI 1.43 to 1.74; p<0.001).Conclusion: The higher the frequency of hand hygiene, the higher the risk of hand eczema. Keywords: hand hygiene, risk of hand eczema, health personnel Correspondence:Lely Tri Pangesti. Masters Program in Public Health, Universitas Sebelas Maret. Jl. Abstract

Background: Carpal Tunel Syndrome (CTS) is the most common nerve compression. Some cases of CTS have chronic symptoms. The most common complaint is "Nocturnal Acroparesthesia", which is tingling pain at night. Physiotherapy interventions can be done to relieve CTS complaints, one of which is the use of Kinesiotaping. This study aims to analyze the effect of Kinesiotaping on pain reduction in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome from several previous studies.Subjects and Method: This article is a systematic and meta-analytical study. The study used the PICO model as follows. Population= Patients with Carpal Tunel Syndrome, Intervention= Kinesio taping, Comparison= No Kinesiotaping, and Outcome= Pain Reduction. The articles used in this study were obtained from several databases including PubMed, ScienceDirect, Semantics and Google Scholar. Articles are collected in a month. The keywords to search for the article were as follows: kinesiotaping OR "kinesio tape" OR pain OR "carpal tunnel syndrome" AND "Randomized controlled trial". The articles included in this study. Results: There are 8 articles included in the meta-analysis research. These eight articles from several countries including Turkey, USA, Poland, Egypt, and the Republic of Korea showed a significant reduction in Carpal Tunnel Sundrom pain (SMD= -1.122; 95% CI= -1.93 to -0.32; p <0.001).Conclusion: The use of kinesio taping can reduce pain in patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Keywords: kinesio taping, reduction of pain, carpal tunnel syndrome.Correspondence:Lely Tri Pangesti. Abstract

Child safety education as an effort to increase safety awareness in schools   Abstract: A school is a place where children spend most of their time learning, playing, and developing, but in reality, children are exposed to many hazards (multi-hazards) when they are at school, so many safety incidents occur at school due to physical, biological and ergonomic hazards. and psycho-social which results in children experiencing minor to serious injuries, contracting diseases, and becoming victims of violence in the school environment, whether reported or not. On the other hand, the lack of optimal implementation of safety culture and minimal knowledge among students regarding the prevention and handling of safety hazards in schools prompted the team to carry out this activity, with the aim of increasing safety awareness in schools in dealing with multi-hazard threats to children through training activities by using the snake and ladder safety educational game tool. The method consists of 3 stages, namely: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. This activity has received an ethical certificate 314/KEPK/FK/KLE/2024 from the Health Research Ethics Commission, Faculty of Medicine, UNNES. The activity results showed a significant increase in the average student knowledge, namely from 44 to 77 (up 33 points). Therefore, the school's commitment to providing education through innovation in various educational media is very much needed to increase school resilience, especially by increasing school residents' knowledge and awareness regarding safety aspects.
