Abstract

Krisis kepedulian ekologis pada generasi muda menjadi tantangan serius dalam pendidikan masa kini, termasuk dalam lingkup Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pembentukan karakter ekologis melalui PAK berbasis Montessori di SMP Katolik Cor Jesu. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan menurut Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi antara prinsip Montessori dan nilai-nilai iman Kristen menciptakan ruang pembelajaran yang mendorong kesadaran ekologis secara holistik. Strategi yang diterapkan meliputi pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, refleksi spiritual atas tindakan ekologis, serta keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam praktik nyata seperti berkebun, daur ulang sampah, dan kegiatan “Eco Time”. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa pendekatan pedagogis berbasis Montessori dalam PAK mampu membentuk karakter ekologis peserta didik secara efektif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendidikan iman yang kontekstual sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter ekologis yang integratif dan berkelanjutan dalam menghadapi krisis lingkungan global.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of gamification in digital learning media on student participation in the subject of Civic Education. The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving students and teachers as respondents. The data analysis techniques used include descriptive statistical analysis to measure the level of student participation and qualitative analysis to understand the experiences of students and teachers in the application of gamification. The results showed that gamification elements, such as points, challenges, and leaderboards, significantly increased student motivation and engagement in learning. Collaborative-based challenges are a major factor that encourages interaction between students, while the reward system provides an additional motivational boost. However, there are several obstacles in implementation, such as limited access to technology and the readiness of educators in managing gamification. Therefore, a more adaptive development strategy is needed to optimize the use of gamification in civic learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of students’ civic literacy through the integration of digital literacy in learning using a Design-Based Research approach. Strengthening civic competence has become increasingly important in the digital era as students are exposed to a vast flow of information that requires critical, analytical, and responsible thinking in understanding public issues. This research employed a qualitative approach with a Design-Based Research design implemented through several stages, including needs analysis, development of a digital literacy-based learning design, implementation of the learning process, and reflection on the learning outcomes. The research subjects were students of Universitas Wisnuwardhana selected purposively based on their participation in learning activities integrating digital literacy. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the integration of digital literacy in learning encourages students’ active engagement in analyzing public information, developing critical thinking skills, and constructing rational arguments in civic discussions. The Design-Based Research approach enables the development of adaptive and contextual learning designs that support the strengthening of students’ civic literacy in higher education settings. The results of this study provide practical implications for the development of innovative civic education learning that is relevant to the digital era and contributes to improving the quality of higher education oriented toward twenty-first century competencies.
