Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of religious extracurricular activities in shaping the spiritual character of students at Madrasah Aliyah Turus. The research questions in this study include: (1) how the implementation of religious extracurricular activities shapes the spiritual character of students; (2) what are the forms and types of religious extracurricular activities organised; and (3) what are the obstacles to their implementation. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and interviews, while data analysis is carried out through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that religious extracurricular activities play an important role in shaping the spiritual character of students through advice, encouragement, motivation, inspiration, and guidance, as well as the habit of good morals and the enforcement of discipline. In addition, these activities serve as a means of evaluating the development of students' character in their daily lives. These findings confirm that religious extracurricular activities have a significant contribution to the formation of spiritual character in the madrasah environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Yanbu'a method in teaching reading and writing the Qur'an at the Bani Muslich Kadugajah Pandeglang TPQ, as well as to identify the obstacles encountered and assess the effectiveness of this method in improving students' abilities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The research subjects included teachers, administrators, and students directly involved in the learning process. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, so that the researchers obtained a comprehensive picture of the implementation of the Yanbu'a method. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Yanbu'a method was implemented systematically and in accordance with the method guidelines, starting from learning the Hijaiyah letters to correct pronunciation through an individual approach. The obstacles encountered included differences in students' levels of understanding, limited learning time, and minimal guidance from parents. Nevertheless, the Yanbu'a method proved to be effective in significantly improving students' ability to read and write the Qur'an. Students became more enthusiastic, confident, and showed good progress, including students with slow comprehension. The application of the Yanbu'a method at TPQ Bani Muslich Kadugajah Pandeglang has made a positive contribution to improving the quality of Al-Qur'an learning. With a fun and systematic approach, this method can be a strategic choice in religious education at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the role-playing method in improving students’ activeness and learning quality at Islamic elementary school. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students totaling 22 students and the classroom teacher, while the object of the study was the application of the role-playing method in the learning process. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the role-playing method is effective in increasing students’ activeness in learning. Students become more enthusiastic, confident to perform in front of the class, actively participate in discussions, and understand the learning material more easily. The role-playing method also creates an enjoyable learning atmosphere, increases learning motivation, and develops students’ communication and collaboration skills. Moreover, experience-based learning through role-playing helps students relate the learning material to real-life situations, making learning more meaningful. Therefore, the role-playing method can be used as an effective alternative learning method to improve the quality of learning in Islamic elementary schools. Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning, particularly on the fable story entitled “Kecerdikan Menumbuhkan Kebaikan”, through the implementation of the Video Based Learning (VBL) method. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which was conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 20 second-grade students of MI Darul Huda Sadahiang. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Video Based Learning method can improve students’ learning outcomes. The average score in the pre-cycle was 65%, increased to 68.5% in Cycle I, and further increased to 75.5% in Cycle II. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Video Based Learning method is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning on fable story material at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
