Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of loose part media on the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years at Pertiwi Kindergarten 14.07.08 Mekarsari Village. This research was motivated by the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years at Pertiwi Kindergarten 14.07.08 Mekarsari Village which still needs improvement. This research is experimental research with a pre-experimental design carried out in pre-test, treatment and post-test stages. The data collection methods used in this research are observation and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used are validity, reliability and normality tests. The results of the study showed that the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years had changed after treatment. Thorough recognition of letters using loose part media has an influence on the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years at Pertiwi Kindergarten 14.07.08 Mekarsari Village. Children's ability to recognize letters during the pre-test shows that they still need improvement. Next, the child or respondent is given treatment using loose part media for 2 times, then the child is observed again using a post-test to find out the difference between the pre-test and the results after the treatment. The results of the post-test show a better change in the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years, which means that the use of loose part media has an effect on the ability to recognize letters in children aged 4-5 years.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the picture & picture-type cooperative learning model on children's ability to recognize colors. This research is experimental research with a pre-experimental design which was carried out based on the pre-test and post-test stages. The research subjects were 21 children aged 4-5 years at Pertiwi Kindergarten 14.02.01 Prembun, Kebumen. The data collection method in this research uses observation and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research uses paired samples T-Test with a significance level 0.05. Color recognition using cooperative picture & picture types influences the color recognition ability of children aged 4-5 years. The ability to recognize colors in the pre-test shows that the ability to recognize colors is still low. Next, the children are given treatment in the form of a picture & picture-type cooperative learning model for 3 days, then the children are given the colors in the same picture again as a post-test. The results of the paired samples T-Test were 0.000 < 0.05, which means there was a change in the ability to recognize colors before and after the treatment in the form of a picture & picture type cooperative learning model.

Abstract

Kata kunci: anak usia dini, kemampuan menulis permulaan, stimulus motorik halus Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of fine motor stimulation on early writing skills in children aged 4–5 years.Writing skills are an important part of early literacy development and can be improved through fine motor stimulation such as stringing, tracing, and arranging small objects. This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 30 randomly selected children. The instruments were observation sheets and writing practice tests. Data analysis was carried out using a paired sample t-test using SPSS. The results showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results, which means that fine motor stimulation is effective in improving children's early writing skills. This finding is supported by various theories that state the importance of fine motor skills in supporting writing development in early childhood. Keywords: early childhood, early writing skills, fine motor stimulus
