Abstract

This article examines dakwah movement and Islamic reform mission in the Karampuang, an area whose society preserve cultural heritage of Mappogau Hanua. Cultural dakwah is used by Muhammadiyah as a strategy to cope with the local culture and costumary tradition of Mappogau Hanua. This article finds that a series of customary practice of rituals of Mappogau Hanua in Karampuang society have been modified by the Muhammadiyah’s cultural dakwah movement. The Muhammadiyah dakwah strategies can be seen in three asepcts. First, participa-tive strategy and family engagement have been used to understand costumary practice of the local tradition and the way to modify it. Second, to change people’s way of thinking (mindset) in understanding Mappogau Hanua ritual, especially in conceiving the ritual practice of Mabbahang, Mappaota, Mabbaja-baja (membersihkan), Menre Ri Bulu, Mabbali Sumange’ dan Malliing. Third, educative strategy I sued by assisiting and empowering adat policy, education, religious activities, health care, and the authority of adat sustainably. Based on these three strategies of cultural dakwah, Muhammadiyah remains exist and accepted in Karampuan society.

Abstract

Dekadensi moral menjadi problem yang pelik tak terkecuali generasi muda dan anak-anak sebagai harapan masa depan. Namun, pendidikan karakter harus hadir dalam setiap dimensi kehidupan masyarakat. Karakter budaya local menjadi alternative menumbuhkan karakter anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi dan mendeskripsikan peran orang tua dalam menginternalisasi karakter sopan santun “mappatabe” pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deksriptif analisis pendekatan fenomenologi. Orang tua anak usia sekolah dasar di Mattunreng Tellue Kab. Sinjai, Indonesia sebagai obyek penelitian dan dijadikan status informan dipilih secara purposive sampling dan peneliti bertindak sebagai instrument kunci. Tempat, pelaku dan aktivitas para orang tua menginternalisasi karakter “mappatabe” sebagai focus, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dengan memperhatikan teknik triangulasi keabsahan, lalu data dianalisi menggunakan memilih dan mengklasifikasi, menyajikan, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter kesopanan “mappatabe” merupakan salah satu tujuan utama orang tua dalam mendidik karakter, karena itu berperan sebagai pembimbing anak, contoh teladan dan membiasakan, motivator dan pengayom, pendengar dan kepercayaan anak. Pada prosesnya terdapat factor pendukung dan penghambat menginternalisasi karena itu diperlukan kesadaran dan dukungan antar mitra pendidik dan masyarakat. Para orang tua dapat memiliki kesamaan akses dalam menginternalisasi karakter “mappatabe” secara luas.

Abstract

Globalisasi Abad 21 dan Revolusi Industri 4.0 menyebabkan terjadinya gelombang besar teknologi sebagai kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dalam peradaban modern. Orientasi manusia makin takluk pada ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (Iptek) modern yang bebas nilai bahkan menjauh dari eksistensi Tuhan dan ajaran Islam padahal epistemologis Iptek bersumber dari ajaran Islam. Tulisan ini bertujuan menggarisbawahi kembali khazanah Iptek modern yang sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Islam agar manusia sebagai pengembang, teknolog, dan ilmuan tak terjebak makin dalam pada lorong gelap sains dan teknologi yang jauh dari cahaya Islam. Melalui metode kajian kualitatif pendekatan library research ditelaah sumber otentik dari buku-buku, jurnal, artikel online maupun fakta empiris kemudian disimpulkan. Khazanah Iptek modern kini inovatif manusia makin berkembang secara dinamis dan terdapat kecenderungan pada pengikisan hakikat kemanusiaan dan keislaman. Gagasan ilmuan Islam dalam beberapa dekade telah memprakarsai revitalisasi ini sehingga penting paradigma ajaran Islam senantiasa ditempatkan lebih strategis di atas promosi dan gagasan Iptek dalam berbagai konteks kehidupan modern baik tantangan dan perubahannya termasuk implikasinya dalam pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

This research sets the goal to identify and document the resources supporting the success of the 2013 curriculum at SMKN 2 Sinjai and to question these contributions based on empirical facts. There are many factors and even cases related to various supporting resources, but in different contexts and places. Qualitative data were collected descriptively-exploratively as an option to see events in objects. The criteria for contributing informants were principals, related teachers and other educators and were selected by purposive sampling. Interview, observation and document review techniques were combined to obtain data and ensured validity through triangulation techniques. The collected data was then analyzed by identified, grouped, verified, synthesized, and compared. Interpretive analysis reveals that various factors and resources have contributed to the success of the learning curriculum such as representative facilities and infrastructure, managerial principals, resource competence and educator collaboration, educator learning management, utilization of learning resources, and use of learning strategies and models. These findings can contribute and have implications for the management of educational curriculum implementation and in different educational institutions.

Abstract

The advances in information technology change human movement in all aspects, especially urban Muslim communities. The urban Muslim communities such as the Muhammadiyah respond to the technological movements by doing the digital interpretation. This research analyzes the interpretation of the Muhammadiyah which focuses on Tafsir at-Tanwir through the Tarjih Channel of Majelis Tarjih and Tajdid PP. Muhammadiyah. The research addresses two points, namely: the method and the character of digital interpretation by Muhammadiyah presented in Tarjih Channel YouTube. This research uses the descriptive analytical Qualitative in analysing the data. The Data were collected by data condensation, reduction, presentation, and data conclusion. The results of the research show that: 1) a new form or a new media of interaction with the Qur’an in digital era, 2) the tahlily and the maudhu’i methods which are contained in presenting Tafsir at-Tanwir, and 3) the Tafsir at-Tanwir takes part in the development of contemporary interpretations, especially in the dissemination of interpretations digitally. in addition, another contribution is Muslims are now closer and easier in accessing in Qur’anic interpretation than before. These findings indicate that the urban Muslims, especially the Muhammadiyah, contribute to da'wah through the interpretation of Qur'anic verses in digital media on the tarjih channel.

Abstract

Social Science textbooks tend to be less dynamic and integrative with Islamic values and local culture. This research is aimed to compose an integrated social science learning textbook which is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ nationalism character. Type of research and development (R&D) with 4D model procedures (define, design, develop and disseminate) to fulfill the procedure of development. The developed textbook that fulfills scientists’ validity result and its practical use as the participants’ valuation and the implementation of learning. It can enhance students’ nationalism characters and contribute to learning on the character education program, preventive action, enhance the understanding of social, religious, and cultural life values and it should be widely recognized by educators.

Abstract

Advancements in information technology are profoundly impacting various aspects of human life, particularly within urban Muslim communities. Responding to the technological shifts, communities like Muhammadiyah engage in digital interpretation. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze Muhammadiyah interpretation, specifically focusing on Tafsir at-Tanwir through the Tarjih Channel Majelis Tarjih and Tajdid PP. Muhammadiyah. Two main aspects were also addressed, namely the methodology and the characteristics of digital interpretation by Muhammadiyah as presented in Tarjih YouTube Channel. A descriptive analytical Qualitative approach was adopted, and the collected data were then analyzed through data condensation, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed (1) the emergence of a new form of interaction with the Qur’an in the digital era, (2) the utilization of tahlily and maudhu’i methods in presenting Tafsir at-Tanwir, and (3) the active role of Tafsir at-Tanwir in shaping contemporary interpretations, specifically in the dissemination of interpretations digitally. In addition, the results showed that Muslims now have greater proximity and accessibility to Qur’anic interpretation compared to previous eras. This indicated that urban Muslims, specifically Muhammadiyah, contributed significantly to da'wah through digital media interpretation of Qur'anic verses on the Tarjih Channel.
