Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying straw compost and swallow manure and their interaction on the growth and production of soybean plants. The study was conducted in the garden of Tinelo Village, Tilango District, Gorontalo Regency, from February to July 2021. The study was arranged using a randomized block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the dose of straw compost, consisting of three levels, namely without the application of straw compost, 10 tons ha-1 , and 15 tons ha-1. The second factor was the dose of wallet manure, consisting of three levels, namely without fertilizer application, swallow manure 5 tons.ha-1 and 10 tons.ha-1. The results showed that the application of swallow manure fertilizer at a dose of 10 tons ha-1 was the best treatment by producing the highest number of pods and 100 seeds and increasing soybean seed weight up to 13.56 %.

Abstract

Efisiensi penggunaan lahan melalui budidaya dalam polibag menjadi alternatif dalam budidaya tanaman kangkung darat (Ipomea reptans Poir.). Salah satu cara yang dilakukan yaitu dengan mengoptimalkan penggunaan media tanam dalam polibag. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi kangkung darat. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Kebun Desa Boalemo, Kecamatan Kwandang, Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara, Indonesia. Percobaan ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktor tunggal yaitu media tanam dan terdiri atas 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 15 satuan percobaan. Adapun perlakuan yang diberikan adalah perbedaan komposisi media tanam dengan perbandingan berdasarkan volume yaitu: M1 = Tanah; M2 = Tanah + pupuk kandang (1:3); M3 = Tanah + arang sekam + pupuk kandang (1:1:3); M4 = Tanah + serbuk gergaji + pupuk kandang (1:1:3); M5 = Tanah + arang sekam + serbuk gergaji + pupuk kandang (1:1:1:3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi media tanam tanah + arang sekam + serbuk gergaji + pupuk kandang (1:1:1:3) menghasilkan bobot basah total, bobot konsumsi dan bobot akar tertinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk organic cair daun lamtoro dan menentukan dosis yang optimal untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada Februari hingga bulan April 2021 di kebun Desa Bulango Raya, Kecamatan Tomilito, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dan terdapat empat perlakuan konsentrasi POC yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali yaitu L0: Tanpa Perlakuan (0%); L1: Konsentrasi 10% POC; L2: Konsentrasi 20% POC dan L3: Konsentrasi 30% POC. Variabel pengamatan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, panjang tongkol, bobot tongkol, dan diameter tongkol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan pupuk organic cair daun lamtoro dengan konsentrasi 30% (L3) menghasilkan panjang, diameter dan bobot tongkol tertinggi.

Abstract

Pengembangan potensi bahan organik yang dapat menurunkan penggunaan pupuk anorganik terutama dalam budidaya jagung manis. Gulma kayu apu merupakan menjadi sumber bahan organic yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengurangi penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis dengan aplikasi dosis kompos kayu apu dan dosis pupuk anorganik. Penelitiah dilaksanakan di kebun Desa Tinelo, Kecamatan Tilango, Provinsi Gorontalo, mulai bulan Mei hingga Oktober 2022. Percobaan dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial yaitu kompos kayu apu dan pupuk anorganik. Terdapat tiga taraf dosis kompos kayu apu yaitu tanpa aplikasi, 5 ton/Ha dan 10 ton/Ha. Selanjutnya tiga taraf dosis pupuk anorganik yaitu 0, 150 kg/Ha dan 300 kg/Ha. Terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang 3 kali sehingga terdapat 27 unit percoban. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh nyata aplikasi kompos kayu apu maupun pupuk anorganik tetapi tidak ditemukan interaksi nyata pada pertumbuhan tanaman jagung manis.

Abstract

Pengunaan varietas padi unggul merupakan salah satu komponen teknologi yang berkontribusi besar terhadap peningkatan produktivitas dan produksi padi. Pelepasan beberapa varietas padi di lapangan menjadi salah satu alternatif pilihan bagi petani dalam pengembangan budidaya padi secara organik yang sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungannya. Untuk mendukung ketahanan pangan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat salah satunya dilakukan melalui pengembangan diversifikasi usaha tani dan perikanan melalui sistem minapadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui varietas padi yang tepat dalam budidaya sistem mina padi terhadap peningkatan kualitas tanah serta pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman padi sehingga mampu mengatasi keterbatasan lahan, serta dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Metode Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor dengan perlakuan yaitu P0 (Varietas Inpara 10), P1 (Varietas Cakrabuana), P2 (Varietas Inpari 42), dan P3 (Varietas Nutrizink). Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa perlakuan beberapa varietas padi sawah melalui sistem mina padi memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan/perumpun, jumlah anakan produktif tanaman padi. Sedangkan Perlakuan P2 (Inpari 42) menghasilkan rata-rata produksi tanaman padi perhektar tertinggi yaitu 5,70 ton/ha. Sedangkan bobot ikan mutlak tertinggi yaitu perlakuan P2 (Padi Inpari 42) mencapai 318 (g) dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan sebesar 48,57 %.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi bio-slurry dengan pupuk kotoran walet serta dosisnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt ). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan dilahan kebun Desa Bulalo Kecamatan Kwandang, Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2023 sampai Mei 2023. Penelitian disusun menurut rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari satu faktor perlakuan yaitu kotoran walet dan bioslurry. Selanjutnya terdapat 5 taraf perlakuan antara lain : B0 = Tanpa perlakuan (kontrol); B1 = Kotoran Walet 5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 100 ml per tanaman; B2 = Kotoran Walet 5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 150 ml per tanaman; B3 = Kotoran Walet 7,5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 100 ml per tanaman; B4 = Kotoran Walet 7,5 kg per petak + Bioslurry 150 ml per tanaman. Penelitian ini diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 15 unit satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi kotoran walet dan bioslurry memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis. Selanjutnya perlakuan kotoran walet 5 kg per petak dan 100 ml bio-slurry merupakan perlakuan yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Perennial sow-thistle (Sonchus arvensis L.) has been traditionally used as a medicinal plant. It contains secondary metabolites with several functions mainly as antioxidant, and its ability to dissolve kidney stones. It is expected that proper harvest time could increase leaf production and secondary metabolites, especially flavonoids. This study aimed at determining harvest time and flavonoid production of Perennial Sow-thistle. The research was conducted in July 2015 to December 2015 at IPB Organic Farm Cikarawang, Dramaga, Bogor. This study used randomized block design with single factor namely harvest time and 3 replications. There were 4 harvest time treatments i.e. (1) leaves harvested gradually i.e. basal leaves at vegetative then upper leaves harvested at early generative stage, (2) leaves harvested gradually i.e. basal leaves at vegetative then upper leaves harvested at maximum generative stage, (3) basal leaves harvested together with upper leaves at early generative stage, and (4) basal leaves harvested together with upper leaves at maximum generative stage. The result showed that basal leaves were harvested at  vegetative stage then stem leaves harvested at maximum generative stage produced the highest fresh weight of upper leaves. Total flavonoids content were found the highest in upper leaf when basal leaves harvested together with the upper leaves at budding and flowering. Keywords: leaf area, luteolin, nutrient content, organic ABSTRAKTempuyung (Sonchus arvensis L.) secara tradisional telah digunakan sebagai tumbuhan obat. Tempuyung mengandung metabolit sekunder dengan beberapa fungsi utama yaitu sebagai antioksidan dan peluruh batu ginjal. Diharapkan pengaruh waktu panen dapat meningkatkan produksi daun dan kandungan metabolit sekunder terutama flavonoid. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan waktu panen dan produksi flavonoid tempuyung. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Desember 2015 di kebun percobaan IPB Cikarawang, Dramaga, Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap faktor tunggal yaitu waktu panen. Terdapat 4 perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali yaitu: (1) panen daun secara bertahap (daun bawah saat vegetatif) dan kemudian daun atas dipanen saat terbentuk kuncup bunga, (2) panen daun secara bertahap (daun bawah saat vegetatif) dan kemudian daun atas dipanen setelah bunga mekar, (3) panen daun bawah bersamaan dengan daun atas saat terbentuk kuncup bunga, dan (4) panen daun bawah bersamaan dengan daun atas setelah bunga mekar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan panen daun bawah secara bertahap dan kemudian panen daun atas setelah bunga mekar menghasilkan bobot basah daun atas tertinggi. Panen daun secara bersamaan menghasilkan kadar flavonoid total daun atas tertinggi.Kata kunci: kadar hara, luas daun, luteolin, organik

Abstract

Sugar palm plants have great potential as a superior commodity that can support the community's economy, especially in rural areas. Apart from being a source of food, such as palm sugar and palm fruit, this plant also has high economic value because it can be utilized optimally from the roots, stems, leaves, and sap. Limited knowledge in business management and marketing also makes it difficult for farmers to compete with other products that are more easily accessible to consumers. These factors often cause low selling prices and suboptimal profits for sugar palm farmers. However, behind these challenges, there are a number of opportunities that can be exploited to improve the welfare of sugar palm farmers in Langke Village. One of them is the increasing market demand for natural and organic products, such as palm sugar which is healthier than granulated sugar. Apart from that, with a sociopreneurship approach, farmers can be empowered to manage their businesses more professionally, expand markets, and process other sugar palm derivative products such as palm fruit or handicraft products from sugar palm stems and leaves. With the support of training, better market access, and innovation in business management, the potential of palm trees in Langke Village can be developed to open up new economic opportunities and improve the welfare of the local community. Activities to strengthen sociopreneurship for sugar palm farmers in Langke Village are that this activity has succeeded in increasing understanding and strengthening the spirit of social entrepreneurship among farmers, encouraging them to not only pursue profits, but also have a positive impact on the surrounding community. With continued support, the potential of sugar palm plants in Langke Village can be more optimal, opening up new economic opportunities and improving community welfare.

Abstract

The Langke village community is known as a community where the majority of its residents work as sugar palm farmers. Palm trees have become the main source of livelihood in this village, because almost every family there depends on their income from processed palm products, such as palm sugar and sap. Motivational training and entrepreneurial managerial skills for sugar palm farmers in Langke village is a strategic step to increase the capacity and economic independence of the local community. This training aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit in sugar palm farmers so that they not only focus on production, but also have the skills to manage their business professionally. Through the motivation provided, farmers are encouraged to see the potential of the sugar palm business as an opportunity to improve their standard of living and play a role in driving the village economy. This activity was carried out on Saturday 4 October 2024 at the Langke village office hall, Gentuma Raya District, North Gorontalo Regency. The method of this service activity is in the form of training and lectures. Service activities in the form of Motivational Training and Entrepreneurial Managerial Skills for Sugar Palm Farmers in Langke Village, North Gorontalo Regency, have had a positive impact in increasing farmers' understanding and entrepreneurial skills. Through this training, sugar palm farmers are equipped with better managerial skills, which are very useful in managing their farming business and increasing the added value of their products. Apart from that, motivational training helps increase farmers' enthusiasm and self-confidence to continue to develop and innovate, so that it is hoped that they can open wider market access and create better economic opportunities for village communities.
