Abstract Rice is an important food crop that has become the staple food for more than half of the world's population. Rice plant health is very important in determining crop yields. The value of chlorophyll has a close relationship with plant health which can determine the yield of rice production. If the health of the plant decreases, it will be susceptible to disease. Blast disease is one of the factors causing plant health to decline. The attack intensity of the disease can be seen in the green on the leaves. SPAD (Soil Plant Analysis Development) is a simple tool that can determine the amount of chlorophyll in plant leaves called SPAD. This study aims (1) to determine the relationship between SPAD and the intensity of blast disease attacks. (2) To obtain a correlation value between SPAD and the intensity of blast disease attacks. Data collection was carried out in Medium Village which is in the Badung Regency area. Sampling data from the age of rice 71 to 94 HST (Day after Planting). To obtain data, 3 rice fields were measured diagonally, 5 points were taken for each rice field plot, 9 clumps were taken for each point, and the SPAD measurement for each clump was divided into 3 parts of the upper, middle, and lower leaf stems. Each leaf is divided into 3 top, middle, and bottom. The intensity can be seen from the distribution of the spots on the leaves. The development of intensity with age and SPAD with age, if the intensity value is high then the SPAD value is low otherwise if the SPAD value is high then the disease attack intensity value is low. From the research results it can be concluded that SPAD with intensity has a linear relationship, with a correlation value of 0.8634 or 86%. Correlated data is very strong because the correlation value exceeds 0.75 or 75%.

Abstract

Sugar palm plants have great potential as a superior commodity that can support the community's economy, especially in rural areas. Apart from being a source of food, such as palm sugar and palm fruit, this plant also has high economic value because it can be utilized optimally from the roots, stems, leaves, and sap. Limited knowledge in business management and marketing also makes it difficult for farmers to compete with other products that are more easily accessible to consumers. These factors often cause low selling prices and suboptimal profits for sugar palm farmers. However, behind these challenges, there are a number of opportunities that can be exploited to improve the welfare of sugar palm farmers in Langke Village. One of them is the increasing market demand for natural and organic products, such as palm sugar which is healthier than granulated sugar. Apart from that, with a sociopreneurship approach, farmers can be empowered to manage their businesses more professionally, expand markets, and process other sugar palm derivative products such as palm fruit or handicraft products from sugar palm stems and leaves. With the support of training, better market access, and innovation in business management, the potential of palm trees in Langke Village can be developed to open up new economic opportunities and improve the welfare of the local community. Activities to strengthen sociopreneurship for sugar palm farmers in Langke Village are that this activity has succeeded in increasing understanding and strengthening the spirit of social entrepreneurship among farmers, encouraging them to not only pursue profits, but also have a positive impact on the surrounding community. With continued support, the potential of sugar palm plants in Langke Village can be more optimal, opening up new economic opportunities and improving community welfare.

Abstract

Sugar palm is a plant that is difficult to cultivate, so farmers generally only expect it to grow naturally. This has resulted in the population of sugar palm trees decreasing due to the lack of activities to expand the population of sugar palm plants. The purpose of this community service activity is to develop farmers' interest in cultivating sugar palm, then develop the location of the sugar palm nursery center in Langke Village. The methods used in this activity include observation activities, then socialization and training, then conducting field practice. The results of the activity, namely the creation of a sugar palm seedling development center carried out in Langke Village, are an important step in developing farmers' awareness of the existence of sugar palm trees. Furthermore, from this activity, the positive value obtained is that farmers' knowledge increases and becomes a pioneer for further development by farmers independently. The shortcomings faced in this activity are that the availability of materials such as polybags and manure still have to be taken from Gorontalo City, which is about 80 km from Langke Village. The next development is the practical activity of making planting holes and determining the location for planting sugar palm.
