Abstract

The continuous development of information technology brings significant changes in various fields of community life. Society and the internet have a very complex and significant relationship, especially in terms of using the internet as a means of socialisation and interaction. In the context of social media abuse, people are often trapped in complex issues that lead to hoaxes and hate speech. This study examines policies, control measures, and punishment for hoax spreaders in the South Sumatra Regional Police jurisdiction. This research employs qualitative research using empirical studies and a legal, sociological framework. This research aims to contribute to the corpus of literature and information regarding the perpetrators of spreading false news (hoax) at the South Sumatra Regional Police. The findings of this study reveal that criminal law enforcement against fake news spreaders (hoaxes) in the South Sumatra Regional Police have procedures or efforts to resolve cases of fake news (hoax); the procedure includes receiving reports/complaints, investigations, investigations, sending SPDP (Notice of Commencement of Investigation), sending case files, and transferring suspects and evidence. Law enforcement entities involved in combating fake news are the Police, Prosecutors, and Judges. This research provides the latest data in 2022 regarding cases of spreading fake news (Hoax) in the South Sumatra Regional Police.

Abstract

Given that electronic filing is one of the earliest e-government services in Indonesia, additional research is needed to determine the antecedents of service users’ perceived net benefit. The e-government system success model by DeLone and McLean was used in this study, however trust factors were added to the government, technology, and e-government websites as antecedents. 195 individual taxpayers were sent a questionnaire including 39 statements as part of the study examination. Data were analyzed using structural equation model-partial least square (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of WarpPLS. This study concludes that these three antecedents determine the success of the e-government system, and thus that e-government development is the integration of trust in government, which is built by increasing its credibility in the eyes of the public, trust in technology, which can be accomplished through education, and trust in e-government websites, which can be accomplished by consistently improving the security and quality of government website services.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived usefulness (PU), and task interdependence (TASKINT) on employees’ work performance. Technology acceptance model (TAM) was used as a theoretical perspective to explore technology adoption in the context of employees in higher education using electronic asset management (EAM). Moreover, a quantitative method was used to explain the causality of the relationship between the variables, and a total of 380 respondents were determined as the sample. The results showed that PEU and usefulness had a significant effect on TASKINT. Even though PEU and TASKINT had a significant effect on employees’ work performance, PU did not have a significant effect. In addition, the results showed TASKINT significantly mediated the relationship between perceived ease of use, usefulness, and employees’ work performance. These findings imply that enhancing the ease of use and fostering TASKINT can lead to improved employee performance when adopting new technologies. For higher education institutions (HEI), focusing on user-friendly systems and promoting collaborative tasks can maximize the benefits of technology implementation on work performance.
