Abstract

This study aims to understand how note-taking skills, summarizing skills, and interpersonal relationships can enhance the quality of learning and student motivation at SMAN 02 Indralaya Utara. The research will investigate how the application of note-taking skills can increase student motivation, how summarizing skills can help students understand their feelings, and how interpersonal relationships can increase students' awareness of learning problems they face. In this study, students' note-taking and summarizing skills were analyzed quantitatively using a questionnaire technique, with results from 37 respondents showing that most students' note-taking skills were mostly average, while most students' summarizing skills were mostly average and high, indicating that students' interest and desire to record lesson material significantly helps in understanding material already explained by the teacher, and that note-taking and summarizing skills are important skills in the learning process and need to be enhanced through more intensive guidance and practice. Lastly, interpersonal relationships were mostly average, with some students having high levels and others having low levels. Although there were some respondents in the low category, overall, the results can be concluded to be relatively good.

Abstract

Teenagers, as the future generation of the nation, are facing significant challenges due to the rapid flow of globalization, technological advancements, and the weakening of social control and character education. This study aims to identify the factors contributing to the prevalence of promiscuity among teenagers, analyze its impact on social skills, and propose preventive and educational solutions. Using a literature review method, data were gathered from various relevant scientific sources published in the last five years. The results of the study show that promiscuity has negative effects on the physical and mental health, as well as the social relationships of teenagers, including teenage pregnancies, drug abuse, sexual deviation, and the decline of social skills. The minimal role of the family, the weakness of moral education, low self-control, and inadequate sex education are the main factors exacerbating this issue. On the other hand, the involvement of parents, religious education, and community-based approaches have proven effective in building the moral resilience of teenagers. The implications of this study highlight the importance of synergy between families, schools, and communities in instilling character values and equipping teenagers with healthy social skills to face the challenges of the era.

Abstract

Social media provides benefits for teenagers, such as access to information, communication, and entertainment, but it also poses challenges, particularly addiction. This study analyzes its impact on mental health, sleep patterns, social interactions, academic performance, and consumer behavior through a literature review (2021–2025). The findings indicate that social media addiction increases the risk of anxiety, depression, and emotional disorders while also disrupting sleep patterns. Socially, direct interactions decrease, and communication skills decline. Academically, focus on learning weakens, and academic performance declines, while consumer behavior increases due to excessive social media exposure. In conclusion, uncontrolled use has significant negative effects, highlighting the need for proper management strategies.
