Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth description of the application of a holistic approach in Indonesian language learning and its benefits for elementary school students. The research method used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive design. Data were collected through unstructured interviews with teachers, participatory observation in the classroom, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that the holistic approach, with the principles of Connectedness, Wholeness, and Being, can integrate language skills with the context of students' lives, involve various senses and emotions, and provide opportunities for exploration of interests and talents. This approach has the potential to improve students' understanding of the subject matter, develop critical thinking skills, creativity and strong character, and create a fun, democratic and humanist learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Education is currently faced with the challenge of integrating scientific ethics into the learning process, especially in the writing of scientific papers. This research aims to review the literature related to the integration of academic ethics in education and its implications for modern scientific writing. The research method uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Through the systematic literature review method, this research analyzes various sources of literature through relevant articles. The articles obtained and used in this research consist of five international journal articles sourced from the Google Scholar database. The analysis results show that the application of scientific ethics not only improves academic quality but also shapes the character of responsible and integrity-driven authors. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of better educational policies and encourage ethical scientific writing practices among researchers. Thus, this article emphasizes the importance of integrating scholarly ethics as a foundation for creating a healthy and productive academic environment.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Javanese script writing among fourth grade students through the implementation of differentiated learning based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) and Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approaches. The main problem identified was the low learning outcomes of students, where only 42% of students reached the Criteria for Achievement of Learning Objectives (KKTP) in the aspect of writing Javanese characters and sandhangan. This condition is influenced by the use of conventional learning methods that do not accommodate the different characteristics, ability levels, and cultural backgrounds of students. This classroom action research (PTK) was conducted in two collaborative cycles with a lesson study approach on 28 fourth grade students of SDN Tlogomas 2 Malang City. Data were collected through observation, field notes, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the application of differentiated learning with CRT and TaRL integration significantly improved student learning outcomes, the percentage of learning completeness increased to 75% in cycle II. This approach is also able to increase students' motivation, engagement, and cultural awareness. This finding confirms the importance of implementing culturally responsive learning and students' developmental level to optimize learning outcomes in local content subjects, especially local languages in primary schools.
