Abstract

Language and numeracy skills are the initial pillars of learning, so that children can gain meaningful knowledge and encourage critical thinking and responsiveness to the environment. Strengthening numeracy literacy as an ability or skill in reading and calculating both textually and contextually. This community service activity aims to 1) instill the fundamental concepts of basic numeracy literacy needed by elementary school students, 2) present a variety of activities or programs that can be implemented in schools that are integrated into subjects, or indirectly through programs outside of learning hours, and 3 ) describes the application of AKM standards for measuring the achievement of numeracy literacy levels in elementary school children. This Community Service is carried out using a focused discussion method, and outreach to teachers at SDN Belitung Selatan 1 Banjarmasin

Abstract

This research aims to determine (1) the feasibility of environmental education-based comics as a medium to improve literacy among third-grade elementary students, (2) the practicality of using the comics in the learning process, and (3) the effectiveness of the comics in enhancing students’ literacy skills. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) design involving media experts, material experts, and third-grade students of SDN 59 Rasalewi Kota Bima. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, tests, and documentation in both qualitative and quantitative forms. The developed comic focused on the theme of environmental education within Indonesian language lessons. The results showed that the comic met the criteria for a valid learning media. Media validation increased from 87.5% to 92.5%, and material validation rose from 78.3% to 80%, meeting the feasibility standards based on Sugiyono’s criteria. Student responses were very positive with a score of 97%, and the practicality score from classroom observations was 79.2%. Effectiveness testing showed an improvement in average literacy scores from 63% (pre-test) to 86% (post-test), with an N-gain score of 0.62 categorized as moderate. These results indicate that the environmental education-based comic is very feasible, practical, and moderately effective for improving literacy skills in third-grade students.

Abstract

Teaching Indonesian to Speakers of Other Languages (BIPA) requires continuous innovation to maintain motivation and increase the active participation of learners. This community service activity aims to introduce and implement the use of two interactive media, namely "Self-Introduction" and "Mysterious Envelope," to BIPA instructors. The implementation method consists of three stages, including (1) an explanation of interactive learning concepts, (2) a demonstration and simulation of the use of both media, and (3) a direct practice session by the participants of the technical guidance program. The results of the activity showed very high enthusiasm from the instructors. The "Self-Introduction" and "Mysterious Envelope" media were considered highly relevant, practical, easy to replicate, and capable of creating a dynamic and enjoyable learning atmosphere. The participants were able to practice using the media directly and provided positive feedback regarding the potential for its application. It is concluded that the development and dissemination of interactive media through partnerships with professional organizations such as APPBIPA is an effective strategy for enhancing the pedagogical competence of instructors and the quality of BIPA learning on a broader scale.

Abstract

AbstractReligious Values in The Healing Practice of Talan Village Tabalong Regency. This study aims to analyze the religious values contained in healing mantras from Talan Village, Tabalong Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with textual and contextual analysis methods. The data sources consist of five healing mantras: tawar dingin (for fever), sakit gigi (toothache), tawar racun (antidote for poison), and mandi sangga (ritual cleansing), collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The research data include words, phrases, and sentences that reflect religious values, particularly those related to the concept of tawhid (the oneness of God). The findings reveal that the healing mantras of Talan Village embody religious values rooted in tawhid, encompassing three core elements—faith (iman), piety (taqwa), and repentance (tawbah). These values serve as a medium for cultural and Islamic education within the community, especially among the younger generation, fostering an integrated understanding of culture and the fundamental principles of Islam in daily life.Keywords: religious values, healing mantra, tawhid, Banjarese culture, IslamAbstrakNilai Religius dalam Mantra Pengobatan di Desa Talan Kabupaten Tabalong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai religius yang terkandung dalam mantra pengobatan di Desa Talan, Kabupaten Tabalong. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis tekstual dan kontekstual. Sumber data  penelitian berupa lima mantra pengobatan, yaitu mantra tawar dingin (demam), sakit gigi, tawar racun (mengobati racun), dan mandi sangga, yang diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Data penelitian berupa pada kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang mengandung nilai religius, khususnya pada aspek tauhid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mantra pengobatan Desa Talan memuat nilai religius pada aspek tauhid yang meliputi tiga unsur utama, yaitu iman, takwa, dan tobat, yang bermanfaat sebagai sarana edukasi budaya dan nilai Islam dalam masyarakat, khususnya generasi muda sehingga pemahaman budaya menyatu dengan nilai dasar Islam dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kata-kata Kunci: nilai religius, mantra pengobatan, tauhid, budaya Banjar, Islam
