Abstract

Leverage Speed of Adjustment (henceforth SOA) has previously been studied by researchers; however, the examination of its connection with sharia law has been overlooked. The majority of the literature currently in circulation comes from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and Malaysian markets, so its implications for businesses in Indonesia may not be applicable given local regulations and cultural norms. This study investigates the distinction in the debt levels and the SOA of firms in Indonesia based on compliance to sharia law. The Two-step Generalized Method of Moment (GMM) model was used to calculate the SOA in the leverage model. We discover that sharia compliance plays a role in stimulating the Indonesian firm’s level of debt and leverage SOA. To put it more precisely, sharia firms use less debt and have a slower SOA than conventional firms. Overall, Indonesian firms implement the dynamic trade-off theory in their leverage framework. Instead of relying on conventional debt, which is only available at certain levels, sharia firms must issue Islamic debt instruments to accelerate the speed of adjustment. Even after a robustness test using various sharia compliance approaches, our results remained consistent.

Abstract

The increasing number of e-money users makes business competition in the industry increasingly tight. This has an impact on decreasing the number of users on the OVO application. This research aims to analyze the influence of service quality and brand image on loyalty among OVO users in Malang City with user satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research is causality research with sampling using a purposive sampling approach. The number of samples that met the criteria was 303 respondents who were OVO users in Malang City. Data analysis was tested statistically via AMOS with the criteria P-Value ≤ 0.05. The research results prove that service quality and brand image partially have a significant effect on user satisfaction and loyalty. User satisfaction has been proven to have a significant effect on user loyalty. Mediationally, the research results prove that satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between service quality and user loyalty. Furthermore, satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between brand image and user loyalty.

Abstract

The performance of sharia banking in Indonesia has decreased during the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, the Covid-19 pandemic situation can increase mental and emotional pressure on employees at the office, as well as in Sharia banking. Therefore, it is necessary to increase leadership that is based on principles Islamic ethics in the context of Sharia banking to improve employee performance. This research aims to analyze banking performance Sharia in Indonesia through the development of spiritual leadership based on principles Islam, and also to examine the mediating role of quality of work life (QWL) and employee satisfaction. Research that examines the influence of spiritual leadership on employee performance, especially using the four pillars of Islamic principles, such as: Truthfulness (Al-Sidq); Trust (Trust); Communication (Tabligh); Knowledge (Fathonah) is still limited in the Shariah Bank context. A quantitative approach with a survey design was used to collect data from 1.131 Shariah Bank employees. The data analysis technique used structural equation modeling with partial least squares (SEM-PLS). Spiritual leadership has a significant effect on the quality of work life (QWL), job satisfaction and employee performance. In addition, QWL and job satisfaction mediate the effect of spiritual leadership on employee performance. Sharia banking can implement spiritual leadership to improve employee performance, especially in Indonesia after the Covid-19 pandemic. This research fills the literature gap by explaining the relationship between spiritual leadership, creativity, quality of work life, job satisfaction, and employee performance in the context of Shariah Banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal and external factors on stock returns in destroying the food and beverage industry listed on the IDX from 2011 to 2021. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique or was based on specific criteria with 12 companies. This research data is panel data, namely a combination of times series and cross-section data, which is tested statistically using Stata. Three data analyses are used: model estimation test, model selection, and static panel regression model estimation results with the criterion of a P value < 0.05, so there is a significant influence between the independent and dependent variables. The research results prove that the best model chosen is the CEM model. The research results demonstrated that the variables ROE (P Value: 0.543 > 0.05), DER (P Value: 0.491 > 0.05), interest rates (P Value: 0.373 > 0.05), and inflation (P Value: 0.165 > 0.05) statistically does not affect stock returns. However, the exchange rate variable (P Value: 0.005 < 0.05) significantly impacts stock returns. The research results also prove that ROE, DER, interest rates, exchange rates, and inflation can explain stock returns of 12.30%. In comparison, the remaining 87.70% is influenced by other variables not included in the research.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of venture capital assistance from LazisMu, entrepreneurial orientation, and digital transformation on the performance of Micro Small Enterprises (SMEs) in Karanganyar Regency. A quantitative approach was used by collecting data from 122 SME respondents who received assistance from LazisMu and have adopted digitalization in the marketing of their products. The data was analyzed using the Smart PLS method to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that business capital assistance from LazisMu has a significant effect on SME performance. However, entrepreneurial orientation has no significant effect. In contrast, digital transformation has a significant impact by improving the operational efficiency and business strategy of SMEs, helping them compete more effectively in a competitive market. This research provides important insights for LazisMu policies and similar institutions to support SMEs more effectively with follow-up research and qualitative approaches to understand more deeply the influence factors.
