Abstract

Kerajaan Majapahit merupakan Kerajaan terbesar di Nusantara yang berkuasa pada abad ke VII-XIII Masehi. Sejarah awal berdirinya Kerajaan Majapahit diawali dengan pembukaan Hutan Tarik di Delta Sungai Brantas yang dibuka oleh Raden Wijaya pada 1923. Dan kemudian Hutan tersebut menjadi perkampungan yang dihuni oleh orang Madura dan Tumapel. Kerajaan Majapahit mencapai masa kejayaan pada masa pemerintahan Raja Hayam Wuruk. Tidak ada konflik dari dalam maupun dari luar yang membuat kekuasaan pada masa hayam Wuruk disebut masa kejayaan. Dan juga Kerajaan Majapahit pada masa itu sangat dihormati hal itu ditunjukkan dengan adanya pengiriman upeti yang dilakukan daerah daerah tertentu karena mereka sangat mengagumi kebesaran Majapahit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review dengan pendekatan Ilmu Sejarah.

Abstract

History learning has an important role in developing students’ critical thinking skills through understanding past events. However, in practice, history learning often still relies on lecture methods and memorization, which limits students’ opportunities to analyze and interpret historical events critically. This study aims to examine the implementation of a history learning strategy based on primary sources as an effort to foster students’ critical attitudes. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consist of history teachers and senior high school students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the use of primary sources such as historical documents, archives, photographs, and manuscripts can increase students’ engagement in the learning process. Students become more active in observing, analyzing, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from historical information obtained from these sources. In addition, primary source-based learning strategies encourage students to ask questions, express opinions, and compare different perspectives on historical events. Thus, the implementation of primary source-based history learning strategies can be an effective alternative in developing students’ critical attitudes in history learning

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in improving the quality of human resources and supporting national development. In the context of schools, the leadership of the principal is one of the key factors determining the success of the educational process. This study aims to analyze the leadership strategies of school principals in developing high-quality and competitive schools. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from various sources of literature, including books, scientific journals, articles, and other relevant documents related to the research topic. The findings indicate that principals have a strategic role in improving the quality of education through various leadership strategies, such as enhancing teachers’ competencies through training and professional development, fostering a positive school culture, and implementing effective school management. In addition, principals also function as motivators who are able to establish strong working relationships with teachers and create a supportive and conducive work environment. Effective leadership strategies contribute to improving teacher performance, the quality of learning, and student achievement. Therefore, effective principal leadership plays a vital role in developing schools that are high-quality, competitive, and capable of responding to the challenges in the field of education.
