Abstract

Introduction. This study aims to describe infrastructure development in the city of Palembang during the reign of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I. Data Collection Method. This research uses historical (historical) methods. Data collection techniques in this study use the following steps: Heuristics (source collection), Verification (source criticism), Interpretation (historical fact analysis), and historiography (historical writing). Result and discussion. The results of this study indicate: (1) Development of Palembang Darussalam Sultanat Infrastructure before Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I came to power. (2) Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I was a figure of the father of the Palembang Darussalam Sultanate Development 1724-1758. (3) Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin I carried out Infrastructure development whose name is still very well known, namely, Kuto Besak and the Palembang Great Mosque. Based on the conclusions above, the results of this study are recommended so that it can be used as a comparison material with subsequent research. Abstract

Tari Turak adalah sebuah tari tradisional yang ada di Kabupaten Musi Rawas yang memiliki nilai historing yang sangat tinggi dan menjadi salah satu kekayaan budaya Kabupaten Musi Rawas. Tari Turak diperkirakan telah ada sejak zaman kolonial, hal ini dibuktikan dengan penampilan tari ini yang ditujukan untuk melumpuhkan tentara NICA yang ingin menguasai wilayah Tanjung Sakti dengan senjata turak. Metode peneltian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis dengan tahapan: 1) identifikasi dan merumuskan masalah; 2) menyusun kerangka pemikiran; 3) merumuskan hipotesis; 4) menguji hipotesis secara empirik; 5) melakukan pembahasan; 6) menarik kesimpulan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan: studi kepustakaan, observasi (pengamatan), wawancara (interview), dokumentasi dan triangulasi (gabungan). Teknik analisis data terdiri dari: data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing/verification. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bawah visualisasi busana Tari Turak pada awal dipentaskan tidak sama dengan busana tari turak saat ini. Busana Tari Turak masa kolonial terdiri dari: Kebaya/dodot, sanggul malang dan bunga untuk pemanis di kepala, kain sebagai rok, selendang dan  dan turak sebagai properti pendukung. Sementara itu, busana Tari Turak saat ini mengikuti perkembangan pakaian adat Musi Rawas yang terdiri dari: a) bagian atas: baju kurung, mahkota Musi Rawas/mahkota beringin/pilis, anting, sanggul malang dan kembang cempako; b) bagian tengah: lidah Musi Rawas/teratai Musi Rawas/teratai lidah, kalung Musi Rawas, gelang, kain pelangi atau selendang pelangi; c) bagian bawah: kain songket atau sewet songket. Secara keseluruhan makna yang terkandung dalam busana Tari Turak modern ini adalah keanggunan, kesopanan, kesucian, kekeluargaan, kerapian, ketenangan, kecantikan, kemuliaan, keagungan, kesabaran, ketabahan hati, keramahan, kebahagiaan, kemakmuran dan keberanian.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' responses to history learning using documentary film media based on local historical sites at SMKN 1 Lubuklinggau. This research method is included in development research using a 4-D research model which has been modified into 3-D including the Definition stage, the Planning stage, and the Development stage. The data collection technique used in this study was to provide a response questionnaire after learning using documentary film media based on local historical sites was completed, with a total of 18 questions. Furthermore, the data collection technique used is in the form of a Likert scale. The results of the study based on the calculation of the results of the response questionnaire that were filled in by the students showed that the average score of student responses was 75.6% in the good category. The conclusion of this study as a whole the students gave positive responses, besides that the documentary film media based on local historical sites was quite liked when it was used in the learning process. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of powerpoint learning media on student interest in social studies subjects VIII in Sumber Harta State Junior High School. The research method used is pure experimentation. Determination of the sample is done by using simple random sampling technique from the population of all students of class VIII, and 50 students selected as samples are class VIII A (experimental class) given learning treatment with powerpoint learning media and class VIII B (control class) is not treated. Data collection techniques in the study using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability testing. The results of the study using the percentage formula showed that 23 students were categorized as very interested (SB) with a percentage of 92% and 2 students were categorized as interested (B) with a percentage of 8%, while students who were categorized as less interested (KB) and students who were not interested (TB) ) as much as 0% or none. Conclusion, there is a significant influence of learning media using powerpoint on students' learning interest in social studies Keywords: Influence, Powerpoint, Interest in Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the development of turak dance in Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province and Rejang Lebong Regency Bengkulu Province. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The results of the study describe that turak dance is an authentic traditional dance originating from the Terawas area in Musi Rawas and Lembak districts in Rejang Lebong Regency. The name of this turak dance comes from turak which means bamboo. The bamboo weapon used as dance property during the independence war was filled with chillies with the aim of paralyzing the vision of Dutch soldiers who wanted to return to power. At present the development of turak dance in the two regencies is different, in which the creation of dance turak is mostly performed in the Musi Rawas area so that it gives birth to fan fan and scarf shawls. Meanwhile in Lembak, Rejang Lebong Regency, turak dance has not changed as in the Musi Rawas area.

Abstract

Tulisan ilmiah adalah salah satu kompetensi pengembangan profesi guru yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru. Di samping itu tulisan ilmiah juga memiliki angka kredit untuk jabatan fungsional dan sertifikasi guru. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memotivasi dan transfer IPTEK melalui workshop serta pendampingan penulisan artikel ilmiah bagi guru-guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini terdiri dari 1) Analisis situasi 2)  Perancangan program, 3) Pelaksanaan program, 4) Evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini adalah tercapainya target program berupa transfer ilmu secara teori dan praktek dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah bagi 20 orang guru-guru MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara.

Abstract

This article aims to elaborate the influences of the modernization of education that occurred in Minangkabau since the middle of the 19th century to advance of Minangkabau women in the early 20th century. The progress of Minangkabau women is clear in the birth of educated female figures thatwill become to spearhead the emergence of the Minangkabau women's movement. The opening of women’s schools, publication of women's newspapers, the establishment of women's organizations and associations and the active participation in the politics of the national movement are clear proofs of the size of the Minangkabau women's want to appear on the public spaces they never have before.

Abstract

Clan rule has existed in South Sumatra since the time of the Palembang Sultanate. Then in the 19th century, the clan developed, marked by the existence of several clans, one of which was the Pegagan Ilir Tribe II clan in Sungai Pinang Village. However, based on the Decree of the Governor of South Sumatra in 1983, the clan system was abolished and then replaced with villages. This research aims to review the history of the Pegagan Ilir Suku II clan which was abolished. The method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and literature. The Tribe II clan was founded when the Dutch came to the Palembang area. This clan was founded in 1860 AD, based in Sungai Pinang Village 1. The leader of the Pegagan Ilir Suku II clan was a Pasirah who was directly elected by the community. The most famous Pasirah was Abdul Cholik, then after his reign it was continued by Haji Malian, namely his son and then continued by his son Haji Muhammad Noer. The development of religion and education in the Pegagan Ilir Tribe II clan is also very good. The conclusion of this research is that the Pegagan Ilir Tribe II clan is a government system led by Pasirah who ruled very well, where during the reign of this Pasirah, Sungai Pinang Village developed both from a religious and educational perspective.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan pelestarian kekayaan sejarah dan budaya non-benda kepada para guru IPS tingkat SMP yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) di Kabupaten Muara Enim. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kekhawatiran akan semakin berkurangnya perhatian generasi muda terhadap warisan budaya lokal yang ditunjukan dengan hasil survei pendahuluan yang dilakukan tim pengabdian yang menunjukan bahwa terdapat kekhawatiran di kalangan para guru tentang mulai pudarnya sejarah dan kebudayaan non benda di Kabupaten Muara Enim. Tujuan dari program sosialisasi pelestarian kekayaan sejarah dan budaya non benda yang dilaksanakan adalah agar guru-guru IPS di Kabupaten Muara Enim dapat berperan aktif dalam menjaga dan melestarikan kekayaan sejarah dan budaya non- benda. Sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat membuat para guru menemukan startegi untuk mengintegrasikan peninggalan seajrah dan budaya non benda dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, diskusi, dan evaluasi. Dari pretest dan postetst yang dilakukan diperoleh nilai median, atau nilai tengah dari data yang diurutkan adalah 6 0 poin, yang berarti separuh peserta pada kegiatan sosialisasi ini mendapatkan nilai 60 atau lebih, dan separuh lainnya mendapatkan nilai 60 atau kurang, hasil tersebut menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan di kalangan guru terhadap pelestarian budaya non benda. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan guru mengenai pentingnya pelestarian kekayaan sejarah dan budaya non-benda di Muara Enim
