Abstract

Interest is a component that arouses someone's enthusiasm that causes that person to focus on a particular activity. The purpose of this research was to describe or describe students' interest in learning mathematics through the application of the Discovery Learning learning model while studying. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. The research subjects chosen were 26 students of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. The sampling technique used in this study was sampling involving all research subjects. Such a sampling technique is known as saturated sampling technique.  Researchers chose research instruments in the form of observation and questionnaires or questionnaires of interest in learning mathematics. Information was obtained that 75% of students felt happy participating in learning mathematics, 71% of students were involved in  learning mathematics, as many as 80% of students paid attention to learning mathematics, and 76% of students were also interested in learning mathematics. In the future, it is hoped that teachers will pay more attention to whether students are interested or not during mathematics learning, because students usually view mathematics as a subject that is considered difficult and is not of interest to students. Minat adalah suatu komponen yang membangkitkan semangat seseorang yang menyebabkan orang tersebut menjadi fokus terhadap suatu aktivitas tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan minat belajar matematika siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika melalui diterapkannya model pembelajaran Discovery Learning saat belajar. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih adalah 26 orang siswa dan siswi SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang . Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengambilan sampel dengan melibatkan semua subjek penelitian. Teknik sampling yan demikian dikenal dengan teknik sampling jenuh.  Peneliti memilih instrumen penelitian berupa observasi dan kuesioner atau angket minat belajar matematika. Diperoleh informasi bahwa 75 % siswa merasa senang dalam mengikuti pembelajaran matematika, 71 % siswa ikut terlibat selama pembelajaran matematika, sebanyak 80 % siswa memberikan perhatiannya terhadap pembelajaran matematika, dan 76% siswa juga tertarik dengan pembelajaran matematika. Untuk kedepannya diharapkan guru lebih memperhatikan apakah siswa berminat atau tidak selama pembelajaran matematika, karena biasanya siswa memandang matematika sebagai mata pelajaran yang dianggap sulit dan tidak diminati oleh siswa.

Abstract

In primary school mathematics, inadequate teaching methods remain a persistent challenge that negatively impacts students’ learning outcomes. This quasi-experimental study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the role-playing method in improving fourth-grade students' understanding of decimal numbers at SDN Empang 2. The study involved two groups: an experimental group taught using role-play and a control group taught through conventional instruction. Fifty-three students participated, with 26 in the experimental and 27 in the control group. Data were collected using post-test scores and analyzed using an independent t-test. The results showed a statistically significant difference in learning outcomes, with the experimental group achieving a higher mean score (M = 69.69) than the control group (M = 63.85) and a p-value of 0.009 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that role-playing significantly enhances students’ conceptual understanding and performance in mathematics. The study contributes to the growing research on interactive teaching methods and suggests that role-playing can be an effective pedagogical tool in primary mathematics instruction.

Abstract

In today’s competitive business environment, enhancing employee performance has become a strategic priority for organizations seeking long-term sustainability. Companies are increasingly recognizing that employee performance is not solely driven by technical skills or productivity targets, but also by psychological and emotional factors such as engagement and well-being. This study aims to analyze the impact of employee engagement and well-being on performance at PT. Putra Indo Mandiri Sejahtera (PIMS), an agribusiness company specializing in integrated livestock farming and dairy processing. A quantitative approach was employed, supported by qualitative insights, to provide a comprehensive understanding of the research problem. Data were collected from 51 employees through structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that both engagement and well-being have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with engagement playing a more dominant role. These results underscore the critical role of human resource strategies that not only focus on increasing output but also foster employee involvement and psychological welfare. Investing in engagement and well-being initiatives can be a key driver in improving overall performance and sustaining competitive advantage in the agribusiness sector.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh beban kerja, hubungan kerja, dan fasilitas kerja terhadap produktivitas karyawan J&T Express cabang Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mencakup seluruh karyawan tetap berjumlah 50 orang, yang juga dijadikan sebagai sampel dengan metode sampling jenuh. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun 2025. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data primer-kuantitatif dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda melalui SPSS versi 24. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel bebas, baik secara individu maupun bersamaan, berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja memiliki koefisien regresi 0,324 (thitung = 3,631; sig. = 0,001), hubungan kerja sebesar 0,238 (thitung = 2,373; sig. = 0,022), dan fasilitas kerja sebesar 0,492 (thitung = 3,715; sig. = 0,001). Uji F memperoleh Fhitung sebesar 210,961 (sig. = 0,000), melebihi Ftabel sebesar 2,807. Nilai R sebesar 0,966 mengindikasikan hubungan yang sangat kuat antara ketiga variabel terhadap produktivitas kerja. Fasilitas kerja tercatat sebagai variabel paling dominan dengan nilai beta tertinggi, yaitu 0,400. Sebanyak 92,8% variasi produktivitas kerja dijelaskan oleh ketiga variabel tersebut, sementara sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.
