Abstract

The problem behind this study is that students still have difficulty in learning multiplication and teachers have not fully used learning media in the teaching and learning process and only focus on printed books and material explanations with the lecture method. So that the multiplication ability of grade III students of SDN 182/I Protected Forest is low, which can be seen from the number of students who have not reached the criteria for achieving learning objectives (KKTP). This study aims to describe the use of multiplication board media can improve the ability of grade III students of SDN 182/I Hutan Lindung. As well as to find out how much the multiplication ability of students has increased after using the multiplication board media in the third grade students of SDN 182/I Hutan Lindung. The research method uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method as many as two cycles, each cycle consists of the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study included teachers and students in grade III, which amounted to 18 students consisting of 14 males and 4 females. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, documentation, and interviews. The results of the study show that multiplication board media can improve multiplication ability in grade III students of SDN 182/I Hutan Lindung. In addition, the use of multiplication board media in learning can be passed well, both from student activities and from the learning outcomes obtained by students have improved. The increase in students' multiplication ability was evident during the pre-cycle period where the average score of students was obtained 48.61 with learning completeness of 27.78%. After the implementation of the action in the first cycle, the average score of students was 66.11 with a learning completeness of 50%, even more increased in the second cycle with an average student score of 87.22 which the completeness of learning students reached 94.44%. The success of classical learning completeness has exceeded the target of 70%, so in the second cycle it was stopped. The results obtained have met the predetermined success indicators

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pemanfaatan fitur komunitas belajar pada Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM) di SD Negeri 182/1 Hutan Lindung bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pemahaman guru dalam menggunakan teknologi pendidikan. Metode pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di SDN 182/1 Hutan Lindung, Kecamatan Muara Bulian Kabupaten Batang Hari, dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah dan guru sebagai peserta selama empat bulan melalui metode interaktif. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi survei pendahuluan untuk mengidentifikasi kendala penggunaan PMM, pelatihan penggunaan fitur komunitas belajar dan pendaftaran dalam aplikasi, bimbingan dan pendampingan dalam penyusunan program konsultatif, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berhasil memahami cara membuka dan mengakses PMM serta mengoperasikan fitur komunitas belajar dengan baik, meningkatkan kemampuan dalam membuat dan mengelola komunitas belajar secara online, dan mengelola waktu dengan lebih efisien. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa partisipasi dalam komunitas belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pedagogik guru dan mendukung pengembangan profesional mereka, sehingga berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di Komunitas Belajar Gugus Mentari KKG di Kecamatan Alam Barajo, Kota Jambi. Masih rendah, hanya 25% dari 74 guru yang mampu menggunakan media interaktif seperti Powerpoint, Youtube, dan Canva. Penguasaan teknologi pembelajaran merupakan indikator kunci kompetensi pedagogi guru di era digital. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru SD dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Android dengan menggunakan Platform Kodular. Kegiatan berlangsung pada tanggal 24-25 Juli 2024 di SDN 147/IV, Kota Jambi, dan terdiri dari dua tahap: pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan meliputi pengenalan antarmuka Kodular, konsep dasar pemrograman berbasis blok, dan pembuatan aplikasi sederhana. Pendampingan intensif meliputi perancangan, penambahan komponen, pengaturan properti, dan konstruksi blok logika, sehingga menghasilkan aplikasi media pembelajaran yang fungsional. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 60,18% peserta menilai materi sesuai, 71,62% mendapatkan wawasan baru terkait teknologi pembelajaran, dan 85% memberikan penilaian positif terhadap pendampingan yang diberikan oleh narasumber. Sebagian besar peserta mampu membuat aplikasi media pembelajaran interaktif yang relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menguasai teknologi pembelajaran dan mendorong terciptanya media pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a two-tier multiple-choice formative assessment based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) through Quizizz media on flat shape materials for Grade IV elementary school students. The background of this study is the limitation of teachers in designing formative assessment instruments capable of measuring students' higher-order thinking skills, as well as the suboptimal use of technology in mathematics learning evaluation activities. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The research subjects are Grade IV students of SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. Data collection instruments include interviews, validation questionnaires from material experts, language experts, and media experts, as well as documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out both quantitatively and qualitatively. The research results show that the HOTS-based two-tier multiple choice formative assessment through the Quizizz media developed has a very good level of validity and reliability, making it feasible to use as a learning evaluation instrument for mathematics on flat shape material. This assessment is expected to help teachers identify students' understanding and thinking processes, as well as train students' critical and analytical thinking skills more optimally.

Abstract

Students’ ability to solve real-life mathematical problems is an essential competency in elementary school mathematics learning, particularly in multiplication of whole numbers. However, many students still experience difficulties in understanding and solving contextual problems because learning often focuses on procedural calculation rather than conceptual understanding. This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model on students’ real-life problem-solving ability in multiplication of whole numbers in third grade of elementary school. This research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method employing a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The subjects of this study were 16 third-grade students. Data were collected through problem-solving test instruments administered before and after the implementation of the RME model. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ problem-solving ability after the implementation of the RME model. The mean score increased from 31.56 in the pretest to 64.44 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that the use of the Realistic Mathematics Education model has a significant effect on improving students’ real-life problem-solving ability in multiplication of whole numbers.
