Abstract

Menulis opini di media massa merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah. Keterampilan tersebut menjadi wadah mahasiswa untuk menyalurkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan menyampaikan gagasan secara argumentatif ke hadapan publik. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa perlu diberi bekal tambahan agar bisa menyusun opini yang sistematis dan layak publikasi. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan menulis opini bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Tanjungpura. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, analisis opini yang telah dipublikasikan, diskusi interaktif, serta sesi praktik menulis dan umpan balik dari narasumber. Pelatihan ini melibatkan 25 mahasiswa yang belum memiliki pengalaman menulis opini, dengan fokus pada struktur penulisan, argumentasi berbasis data, dan strategi publikasi di media massa. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam membentuk budaya literasi akademik yang produktif di kalangan mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Tanjungpura.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penggunaan modul pembelajaran berbasis Canva terhadap minat belajar mahasiswa pada sub materi sejarah Renaissance. Pendekatan penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi-eksperimen dan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari 56 mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah IKIP Saraswati yang dibagi menjadi 28 orang di kelompok eksperimen dan 28 orang di kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket minat belajar berskala Likert yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasilnya, minat belajar pada kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kontrol dengan selisih skor 13,14 poin. Hal tersebut diperkuat oleh hasil Independent Sample t-Test yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor post-test kedua kelompok (p= 0,003). Selain itu, nilai effect size (Cohens d) sebesar 1,40 mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh yang besar. Dengan demikian, modul digital berbasis Canva terbukti mempunyai pengaruh terhadap minat belajar mahasiswa pada sub materi sejarah Renaissance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine changes in social stratification in Banten society before the 1888 peasant revolt in the area. The research approach used was qualitative with historical methods. The sources used in this historical method are document sources in the form of books and relevant research articles. The results of the study show that social stratification in Banten before the revolt in 1888 was divided into traditional stratification and changed to colonial. The difference between the two stratifications lies in the position, function, influence, rights, and obligations of groups occupying the upper, middle and lower layers. The stratification of the colonial period which tended to be oppressive became the cause of the emergence of upheavals until the revolt of Banten Peasant’s in 1888.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the construction of Dayak identity in students of Santo Paulus Pontianak Senior High School (SMA), who are active as ethnic Dayak artists. The research problem is that there is a lot of identity politicisation that hinders the process of equality and justice in society. Identity politicisation can be seen in general elections, regional head elections, and many mass organisations affiliated with ethnic identity. This research is a qualitative research with a looking-glass self approach from symbolic interactionism theory. The research subjects were 10 students who were active as ethnic Dayak artists. Data collection was conducted from January to March 2024. The result of the research is that the construction of Dayak identity is influenced by several things, namely (1) the influence of practical politics; (2) mystical stories; (3) the history of ethnic conflict; (4) life that depends on nature; and (5) customary law or customs. These constructions of identity contain problems, such as underutilising cultural perspectives, lacking historical breadth, and concealing the many riches of Dayak identity. This research is important to do because the politicisation of identity still occurs frequently. There needs to be an effort to understand these various identities so that identity construction is not easily trapped in pragmatic and opportunistic interests.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu lembaga negara permanen Indonesia, MPR RI pasca amandemen UUD 1945 nyatanya dikonstruksi dengan kewenangan-kewenangan yang sangat terbatas dan bersifat insidental. Akibatnya, hakikat MPR sebagai lembaga negara permanen menimbulkan dilema. Penelitian ini kemudian ingin mencoba menakar peluang dan implikasi penghapusan kedudukan MPR sebagai lembaga negara permanen dan mengalihkannya semata-mata sebagai lembaga joint session DPR dan DPD yang bersifat ad hoc. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan, pendekatan historis, dan pendekatan komparatif, penelitian ini berusaha memahami konteks historis pembentukan MPR RI sebagai lembaga negara terlebih dahulu untuk dikaitkan dengan hasil komparasi antara kewenangan MPR RI dan kewenangan Kongres AS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peluang untuk menghapuskan kedudukan MPR sebagai lembaga negara permanen dan mengalihkannya menjadi lembaga joint session DPR dan DPD dimungkinkan melalui amandemen kelima konstitusi. Selain itu, penghapusan kedudukan kelembagaan ini berimplikasi pada penghapusan jabatan pimpinan MPR.

Abstract

This study analyzes the need for developing multicultural learning media based on local wisdom through Virtual Digital Storytelling (VDS) to strengthen students’ tolerance at SMA Santo Ignasius, Singkawang. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach (needs analysis) involving purposively selected informants: the Principal, Vice Principal for Curriculum, Vice Principal for Student Affairs, History Teacher, and a Sister as a cultural figure. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The findings reveal a pedagogical gap where teaching media remain conventional while students show a strong preference for visual and interactive content. All informants agreed on the urgency of developing VDS that incorporates local narratives (e.g., Cap Go Meh and Naik Dango) to enhance empathy, solidarity, and intercultural collaboration among students. The study recommends developing short and interactive VDS prototypes, organizing digital literacy training for teachers, and collaborating with local cultural figures to ensure content authenticity. These findings provide an empirical foundation for subsequent media design research aimed at promoting tolerance through multicultural education.
