Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of pricing strategy, promotion and market demand consumer preferences on the Profitability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The unit of analysis is Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Padang City. This study uses primary data obtained through questionnaires. The sampling technique uses quota sampling. A total of 100 questionnaires from MSMEs were returned as the final sample. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis conducted with SPSS software. The results showed that pricing strategy and promotion had a significant positive effect on profitability. While market demand had no significant effect on profitability. MSMEs need to set competitive prices and in accordance with the value perceived by consumers. MSMEs are advised to allocate a special budget for planned and measurable promotional activities.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of competency development and compensation systems on employee performance through literature review approach within strategic human resource management perspective. Library research methodology was employed to synthesize findings from various scientific publications during 2020-2025 period. Analysis results demonstrate that competency development operates through cognitive, psychomotor, and affective dimensions forming employees' holistic capabilities. Compensation systems integrate financial and non-financial components within total reward framework influencing motivational dynamics. The interrelation between both variables creates synergistic effects strengthening performance outcomes through reinforcement mechanisms. Strategic implications indicate that systematic integration between competency development and compensation alignment generates sustainable competitive advantages. This research contributes to theoretical framework development in strategic HRM and provides insights for practitioners in optimizing human capital investments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran budaya organisasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan pada salah satu perusahaan di Kota Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kausal, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 52 responden yang merupakan seluruh populasi karyawan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) menggunakan software SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja dan kinerja karyawan, serta motivasi kerja juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, motivasi kerja memediasi pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja karyawan secara signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan pentingnya membangun budaya organisasi yang positif sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar organisasi menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya kerja seperti komunikasi terbuka, kerja sama, dan penghargaan terhadap kontribusi karyawan guna menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif dan produktif
