Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ISO 9001 quality management system at the Pentecostal Church of Cililitan, which has faced a decline in congregation numbers in recent years. Effective and systematic management of church services is crucial to meet the spiritual needs of the congregation and to have a positive impact on society. Specifically, the decline in the number of congregants is caused by issues of ineffective leadership and poor internal communication. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with church leaders, service staff, and congregation members, as well as document analysis related to the implementation of ISO 9001. A literature review was also conducted to understand how the quality management system can be applied in the context of religious organizations. The results of the study show that the implementation of ISO 9001 has made a positive contribution to the church’s organizational structure, including improvements in work procedures, enhanced internal communication, and strengthened leadership. The implementation of this system has helped create a more organized service environment, increased congregational satisfaction, and restored trust in the church leadership. However, the success of implementing this quality management system depends heavily on the commitment of the church leadership and the active involvement of all members of the organization. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the implementation of ISO 9001 can significantly contribute to the growth of the church. With consistent implementation, the church can improve service quality and experience sustainable growth in the congregation. This study recommends that the church continue to strengthen leadership and communication aspects as part of the strategy to enhance service quality.

Abstract

A non-visionary leader ultimately does not teach the congregation to obey the word correctly, which negatively impacts the church's growth both financially and in terms of the congregation's faith. This study also found that non-visionary leadership often struggles to guide the congregation towards clear goals, making spiritual obedience and tithing practices less effective. Visionary leaders can build a clear vision of how tithing can be a means to improve the well-being of the church and the surrounding community. They can also facilitate effective communication with the congregation, making the congregation more understanding and involved in the practice of tithing. In this context, this research suggests that the church needs to enhance its leadership capacity by developing a clear vision and effective strategies to improve the spiritual obedience of the congregation. This can be achieved through leadership training focused on vision development and the ability to motivate the congregation. AbstrakPemimpin yang tidak visioner pada akhirnya tidak mengajarkan jemaat untuk menaati firman dengan benar sehingga berdampak negatif pada pertumbuhan gereja dari segi finansial maupun pertumbuhan iman jemaat. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa kepemimpinan yang tidak visioner seringkali mengalami kesulitan dalam mengarahkan jemaat menuju tujuan yang jelas, sehingga ketaatan spiritual dan praktik perpuluhan menjadi kurang efektif. Pemimpin visioner dapat membangun visi yang jelas tentang bagaimana perpuluhan dapat menjadi sarana untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan gereja dan masyarakat sekitar. Mereka juga dapat memfasilitasi komunikasi yang efektif dengan jemaat, sehingga jemaat lebih memahami dan terlibat dalam praktik perpuluhan. Dalam konteks ini, penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa gereja perlu meningkatkan kapasitas kepemimpinannya dengan mengembangkan visi yang jelas dan strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan ketaatan spiritual jemaat. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui pelatihan kepemimpinan yang berfokus pada pengembangan visi dan kemampuan memotivasi jemaat. Kata kunci: Ketaatan Spiritual; Pemimpin Visioner; Pertumbuhan Gereja
