Abstract

Shariah law and Islamic finance have emerged as powerful tools for promoting economic empowerment, particularly in rural areas where poverty and financial exclusion are prevalent. In Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, Islamic finance offers unique opportunities to address economic disparities and foster inclusive growth. This study examines the role of Shariah law and Islamic finance in empowering rural communities in Indonesia, focusing on their impact on poverty alleviation, financial inclusion, and sustainable development. The research aims to identify the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing Islamic finance in rural areas and propose strategies for enhancing its effectiveness. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combines quantitative analysis of socio-economic data with qualitative interviews with rural communities, Islamic financial institutions, and policymakers. Data were analyzed to assess the impact of Islamic finance on income levels, access to financial services, and community development. The findings reveal that Islamic finance, particularly through instruments such as zakat, waqf, and microfinance, has a positive impact on economic empowerment in rural areas. However, challenges such as lack of awareness, limited infrastructure, and regulatory gaps hinder its full potential. The study concludes that enhancing the role of Shariah law and Islamic finance in rural Indonesia requires targeted strategies, including education, infrastructure development, and regulatory reforms.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PBL) has gained widespread recognition as an effective instructional method that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills among students. In this context, the role of the teacher as a facilitator is crucial in guiding students through the learning process while encouraging autonomy and exploration. With the increasing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, AI tools have become valuable resources to support both teachers and students in PBL environments. However, the specific role of teachers as facilitators in AI-supported PBL settings remains underexplored. This study aims to investigate the role of the teacher as a facilitator in project-based learning environments where AI tools are utilized to enhance the learning experience. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including surveys, interviews, and classroom observations involving 150 students and 20 teachers from schools implementing AI-supported PBL. The study assessed the impact of AI tools on teacher facilitation and student outcomes in terms of engagement, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. The results indicate that AI tools significantly supported teachers in managing and facilitating PBL, allowing for more personalized guidance and efficient task management. Students reported higher levels of engagement and improved collaboration, while teachers emphasized the increased ability to focus on individualized support. This study concludes that the teacher’s role as a facilitator is essential in leveraging AI tools to optimize project-based learning, enhancing both teaching practices and student outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to determine the impact of the impact of google sites–based interactive media integrating sumbang duo baleh on the development of politeness in early childhood. Methods – This research employs an experimental method with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The population consists of all children at Harapan Ibu IslamiC Kindergarten, totaling 52 children, with a sample of 12 children selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques involve observation sheets. Findings – The study results indicate that the average pretest score was 18.25. After four treatments, the scores gradually increased: the first treatment yielded 21.58, the second 25.28, the third 28.83, and the fourth 34.58. The posttest average score reached 40.25. These findings demonstrate that interactive Google Sites media based on Sumbang Duo Baleh positively influences the formation of politeness character in early childhood. Research implications/Limitations – This research contributes to integrating technology and local cultural values into early childhood education. The implementation of interactive media based on local wisdom can be an alternative approach to enhancing children's politeness character. These findings provide insights into the effectiveness of technology in character education. Originality/value – This study offers a novel integration of local cultural wisdom (Sumbang Duo Baleh) with digital interactive media using Google Sites, specifically designed for early childhood character education. Such an approach embedding indigenous values into technology-based learning tools remains largely unexplored in early childhood education research.

Abstract

Climate change is one of the most critical challenges facing global ecosystems, with forest ecosystems being particularly vulnerable to its impacts. The alteration of climate patterns, such as increased temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and extreme weather events, has led to significant disruptions in forest biodiversity, carbon storage, and ecosystem services. This study investigates the effects of climate change on forest ecosystems and explores potential adaptation strategies to mitigate these impacts. The primary objective of this research is to assess the impacts of climate change on forest ecosystems and identify viable adaptation measures to ensure ecosystem resilience. This research employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including field observations, data analysis from climate models, and review of existing literature on forest ecology and climate adaptation strategies. The findings indicate that climate change has led to shifts in species distribution, changes in forest composition, and increased susceptibility to pests and diseases. Additionally, forest degradation and loss of biodiversity have been observed in several regions. Adaptation strategies, such as assisted migration, improved forest management practices, and conservation efforts, have shown potential to enhance the resilience of forest ecosystems. In conclusion, while climate change poses significant threats to forest ecosystems, proactive adaptation strategies can mitigate some of the adverse effects. It is essential to integrate climate change considerations into forest management policies to promote long-term ecosystem sustainability.
