Abstract

The rise of startups in Indonesia has created a growing demand for innovative financing models that align with Shariah principles. Shariah-compliant venture capital (SCVC) offers a unique opportunity to support startups while adhering to Islamic ethical standards, such as the prohibition of riba (interest) and gharar (uncertainty). This study explores the potential of SCVC as a financing model for startups in Indonesia, focusing on its alignment with Shariah principles, its impact on startup growth, and the challenges faced by stakeholders. The research aims to identify effective strategies for implementing SCVC and propose recommendations for enhancing its role in fostering ethical and sustainable entrepreneurship. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study combines quantitative analysis of startup financing data with qualitative interviews with venture capitalists, Shariah scholars, and startup founders. Data were analyzed to assess the compatibility of SCVC with Shariah principles, its financial performance, and its contribution to startup success. The findings reveal that SCVC can effectively support startups while adhering to Islamic ethics, but challenges such as limited awareness, regulatory gaps, and risk-sharing complexities hinder its widespread adoption. The study concludes that promoting SCVC in Indonesia requires targeted strategies, including education, regulatory reforms, and capacity-building for stakeholders.

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education has transformed traditional classroom learning, offering new opportunities for engagement, interactivity, and personalized instruction. Despite the increasing adoption of digital tools in education, their effective implementation remains a challenge due to varying levels of digital literacy, resource availability, and pedagogical integration. Ensuring the optimal use of ICT in classrooms is essential for enhancing student engagement and improving learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of ICT in enriching classroom learning experiences by evaluating its impact on student participation, knowledge retention, and instructional efficiency. A mixed-methods approach was employed, incorporating surveys, classroom observations, and instructor interviews to assess ICT implementation across various educational settings. Findings indicate that interactive learning technologies, adaptive digital content, and real-time feedback mechanisms significantly enhance student motivation and comprehension. Statistical analysis revealed a strong correlation between structured ICT integration and academic performance. The study concludes that a well-planned and pedagogically informed use of ICT fosters a more interactive and engaging learning environment. Future research should explore long-term impacts of ICT in education and the development of frameworks for more inclusive and scalable technology integration in diverse classroom contexts.

Abstract

Bullying in schools is a pervasive issue that negatively impacts students’ mental health, academic performance, and overall school climate. A positive school climate is essential for fostering an environment conducive to learning, where students feel safe, respected, and supported. Anti-bullying programs have been implemented to address this problem; however, their effectiveness in enhancing school climate, particularly in middle schools, remains underexplored. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an anti-bullying program in improving the school climate in middle schools. The research utilizes a quasi-experimental design, with 300 students from three middle schools participating in the study. Pre- and post-program surveys were administered to assess students’ perceptions of school climate, including safety, respect, and inclusiveness. The results indicate a significant improvement in the overall school climate, with increased perceptions of safety and respect, and a reduction in bullying behaviors. Students reported feeling more supported and engaged in the school community after the program. The study concludes that anti-bullying programs can be highly effective in fostering a positive school climate, providing a safer and more supportive environment for students. The findings suggest that implementing such programs in middle schools can significantly contribute to improving the educational experience and well-being of students.
