Abstract

Papua Province; and (2) identify and analyze the macro-sectoral potential of the management of the agricultural sector in Papua Province. There are two analytical tools used, namely the LQ Index and Sectoral Classen Typology. Based on the results of data processing with LQ analysis, it was identified that the agricultural sector is the base in Jayapura, Keerom, Sarmi, Mamberamo Raya, Biak Numfor, Supiori, Kepulauan Yapen, and Waropen Regencies. As for Jayapura City, the agricultural sector is not a base because it has an agricultural LQ value of 0.48 < 1. Then, from the Sectoral Classen Typology analysis, it shows that macrosectorally and macrospatially, the management of agricultural natural resources in Papua Province in the future is very prospective for developing regional economies. This is indicated by the typology of the agricultural sector in each region in Papua, which is mostly classified as an advanced and fast-growing sector (Quadrant I) for the future, namely in Sarmi, Keerom, Mamberamo Raya, Supiori, Kepulauan Yapen, and Waropen Regencies. The sectors that are categorized as advanced and fast-growing can be used as prime sectors and priorities for development in the future, both in the short, medium, and long term, in the Province of Papua. This research aims to 1) Analyze the influence of investment on economic growth in Papua Province; 2) Analyze the influence of the amount of government spending on economic growth in Papua Province; 3) Analyze the influence of the number of labor force on economic growth in Papua Province. The number of observations in this research was 69 data points in the 2010-2021 time period in Papua Province using panel data. The data that has been collected is analyzed using descriptive analysis and 2SLS analysis according to the researcher's framework, with the Eviews and Excel programs. The research results show 1) the results of the mediation test show that investment in economic growth through labor absorption indirectly has a significant positive effect; 2) the results of the mediation test show that the variable government expenditure on economic growth through labor absorption indirectly has a significant positive effect; 3) the direct influence of the Labor variable has a positive and significant effect on economic growth (GRDP). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of economic growth, interest rates, and government expenditure on tax revenue in Papua Province during the period 2011–2021. The research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis based on secondary data obtained from the Directorate General of Taxes, Statistics Indonesia, and Bank Indonesia. The results show that interest rates have a negative and significant effect on tax revenue, while government expenditure has a positive and significant effect. Meanwhile, economic growth (GRDP) does not have a significant effect on tax revenue. Simultaneously, these variables significantly influence tax revenue with a contribution of 82.4%. These findings indicate that fiscal policy through government expenditure plays an important role in increasing tax revenue, while interest rate stability needs to be maintained to support optimal state revenue. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of human development quality, economic growth, and unemployment on poverty levels in Keerom Regency during the period 2011–2021. The research employs a quantitative approach using path analysis based on secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). The results show that economic growth has a significant effect on the Human Development Index (HDI), but does not have a significant effect on unemployment. Furthermore, both HDI and economic growth have a significant effect on poverty levels, while unemployment does not have a significant effect. Indirectly, economic growth also influences poverty through HDI as an intervening variable. These findings indicate that improving the quality of human development is a key factor in reducing poverty, therefore development policies should prioritize sustainable human resource development. Keywords: poverty, human development index, economic growth, unemployment

As infrastructure spending is expected to make a positive contribution to economic growth by opening access and improving connectivity between regions. Meanwhile, education spending is expected to encourage improvements in the quality of human resources, which can be a driver of productivity and innovation in various sectors. In addition, health spending is expected to improve community welfare, reduce the burden of disease, and increase labor productivity. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of infrastructure spending, education spending and health spending on the level of economic growth in Papua Province. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data collection method is through secondary data consisting of time series and cross- section with data sources accessed via the official BPS Papua Province website. Data for the period 2010-2022. Data analysis uses panel data regression. The results of this research are that the sig value is known.0.001 < 0.05 means the hypothesis is accepted, or if compared then 3.346 > 2.100 means it is accepted. So it can be said "Together the variables of infrastructure spending, education spending and health spending have a positive and significant effect on the level of economic growth in Papua Province.". Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of interregional inequality and the influence of population and per capita income on economic development inequality in Papua Mountains Province during the 2018-2022 period. The research method used is associative research with quantitative secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Yahukimo Regency. Data analysis was conducted using three descriptive tools, namely the Williamson Index to measure the level of inequality, Klassen Typology to classify regions based on economic growth and per capita income, and Location Quotient to identify basic and non-basic sectors. Furthermore, to test the influence of independent variables on inequality, this study applied panel data regression with the help of Eviews 9 software, through a series of model specification tests, classical assumption tests, as well as partial and simultaneous hypothesis tests. The results show that interregional inequality in Papua Mountains Province is classified as high and continues to increase significantly from year to year, with all Williamson Index values falling into the high category. Based on the Klassen Typology, no regency falls into the fast-growing and advanced region category, while Yahukimo and Tolikara Regencies fall into the lagging region category. The Location Quotient analysis results indicate that the agriculture, construction, and various public service sectors are basic or leading sectors. The hypothesis test results prove that population and per capita income, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant effect on economic development inequality. Thus, inequality in Papua Mountains Province is a serious problem triggered by the high population and unequal per capita income, which requires comprehensive and targeted policy interventions.
