Abstract

Sustainable urban development cannot be separated from the smart city concept which can solve the problems of urban areas in recent years. The purpose of this study is to review literature studies on creating Urban Design models that influence the successful implementation of Smart City in urban areas toward sustainable urban development. Sustainable urban development in the Smart City concept is not limited to solutions using IT-based technology but needs to pay attention to solutions to the physical condition of cities due to the increase and decrease in the number of residents in urban areas. From this context, this research agrees on models, concepts, and indicators to measure the success factors of smart cities in Indonesia. This research method was carried out by studying the literature used derived from various articles filtered into 40 articles about urban design in Smart City. The result of this study is a systematic literature review consisting of 3 domains, 8 aspects and 40 indicators of Urban Design influencing the success of Smart City in the local government. The results of this study can contribute to the implementation of the Urban Design model in sustainable urban development.

Abstract

Program pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian di Desa Pakusari, Kabupaten Jember, melalui pemberdayaan petani dan penerapan teknologi pupuk organik. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi petani adalah ketergantungan pada pupuk anorganik yang mahal dan ketersediaannya tidak menentu, serta praktik pengelolaan limbah pertanian dan peternakan yang belum optimal. Melalui metode diskusi, ceramah, dan praktik langsung, program ini memperkenalkan teknik pembuatan pupuk kandang yang efisien dengan memanfaatkan jerami dan kotoran ternak. Proses pembuatan pupuk organik dilaksanakan dalam empat tahap utama: persiapan tempat dengan pembuatan gubuk berukuran 6m x 3m, persiapan bahan baku dan tambahan, proses pengomposan dengan fermentasi, dan pemanenan hasil setelah tiga minggu. Hasil program ini menunjukkan bahwa petani berhasil memperoleh kemampuan dalam memproduksi pupuk kandang berkualitas yang ditandai dengan karakteristik tidak berbau, warna hitam kecoklatan, dan tekstur ringan. Pupuk organik yang dihasilkan terbukti efektif dalam memperbaiki struktur tanah, meningkatkan aktivitas mikroorganisme bermanfaat, dan menyediakan nutrisi lengkap bagi tanaman. Program ini berhasil memberikan solusi berkelanjutan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia sekaligus meningkatkan kemandirian petani dalam pengelolaan sumber daya lokal.

Abstract

The current digital marketing trend is experiencing significant transformation. Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) need a marketing strategy for a product using a digital platform to increase business excellence and optimize business to reach a broader range of consumers. This community service aims to evaluate MSMEs such as Nina's Ice House in Jember Regency in optimizing the use of ShopeeFood as a marketing platform. The method used in this community service activity is qualitative descriptive analysis. The service activity scheme goes through needs analysis, implementation, and evaluation. This digital marketing empowerment was done by interviewing and training on the ShopeeFood application with MSME sellers of Nina's Ice House in Jember Regency. The expected results of this service are increased knowledge ownership, sales, and visibility of Nina's Ice House products. This service supports business sustainability and provides insight for other MSME players in utilizing digital marketing to strengthen competitiveness.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk kualitas sumber daya manusia serta membimbing siswa dalam meraih cita-cita di masa depan. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang belum memiliki kejelasan terhadap cita-cita mereka, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi belajar. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa SDN Kepatihan 06 Jember melalui kegiatan edukatif menggunakan metode "Pohon Cita-Cita." Program dilaksanakan selama satu hari menggunakan metode ceramah, simulasi, serta drill and practice. Siswa diminta menuliskan cita-cita mereka pada kertas berbentuk daun dan menempelkannya pada pohon cita-cita sebagai bentuk visualisasi tujuan hidup. Kegiatan ini juga dilengkapi dengan diskusi kelompok dan presentasi untuk membantu siswa merancang langkah-langkah konkret dalam mencapai cita-cita mereka. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran siswa terhadap tujuan hidup serta meningkatnya antusiasme dan kepercayaan diri dalam belajar. Guru juga mengamati adanya perubahan positif dalam keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam membangun motivasi sejak dini, serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang suportif dan interaktif. Kegiatan ini juga menanamkan pentingnya merencanakan masa depan melalui langkah-langkah sederhana namun terarah.

Abstract

The UC3 service is the University of Jember's integrated digital platform, facilitating academic services including diploma applications, service complaints, and campus problem reporting. Despite being crucial for digital academic administration, the UC3 application encounters technical obstacles such as frequent server downtime, less intuitive interfaces, and slow response times. This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction levels with the UC3 application to provide insights for service improvement and benefit optimization for users. A quantitative methodology was adopted using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method, incorporating five variables: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 student respondents and analyzed using IBM SPSS version 27. The instrument test results showed an average validity score of 0.807 and reliability of 0.892 across all EUCS variables. Classical assumption testing confirmed normally distributed data (0.137, p > 0.05), with tolerance values of 0.699 > 0.1 for multicollinearity and no heteroscedasticity detected. Hypothesis testing revealed that accuracy and timeliness had partially significant effects on user satisfaction based on the T-test, while the F-test demonstrated that all EUCS variables collectively had significant influence on satisfaction levels (sig 0.001 < 0.05).The results indicate that UC3 users demonstrate relatively high satisfaction levels, as all EUCS variables significantly influence their experience both individually and collectively, providing a foundation for targeted system improvements.

Abstract

This research develops a 64-element microstrip antenna array design using the Dolph-Chebyshev method for capturing Himawari-8 satellite data. Proximitycoupled feed is employed to enhance efficiency and minimize unwanted radiation. Dolph-Chebyshev amplitude distribution is implemented through Wilkinson unequal power dividers and λ/4 transformers for optimizing beamwidth and sidelobe levels. Simulation results show the antenna operates in the frequency range of 4.1036-4.459 GHz with a gain of 23.46 dB at 4.148 GHz. The directional radiation pattern has a 3 dB beamwidth of 6.5° in the E-Plane and 4.9° in the HPlane, with main lobe directions of 0° and 1° respectively. The total antenna dimensions of 752 mm × 627.94 mm × 3.255 mm without requiring a parabolic reflector make it more compact compared to previous designs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the inappropriate implementation of the shifting quality strategy at fashion brand 3second Jember and its impact on sales performance and consumer perceptions. Using a mixed method approach with sales data for the period 2023-2024 and in-depth interviews, this research found that the shifting quality strategy implemented by 3second Jember experienced a significant implementation failure. The data showed a drastic 29.50% drop in sales from 2023 to 2024, with the largest drops occurring in June (-60.75%) and September (-66.23%). Analysis revealed that changes in quality without considering consumer perceptions and expectations led to a decline in brand trust and perceived quality. This research contributes to the strategic management literature by providing empirical evidence on the risks of implementing an immature quality shifting strategy in the Indonesian fashion retail industry

Abstract

Jember Regency is a popular marine tourism destination with five beaches, each experiencing an increase in the number of visitors each year in Jember Regency. Although these beaches are favorites and increase visitors annually, they require better infrastructure to support tourism activities. The research evaluated the network design using several parameters: power link budget, rise time, Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), and Bit Error Rate (BER). The result of this study shows that the 39 network paths meet the BER calculation standard of 10-12 and the SNR standard of 21.5 dB.
