Abstract

The habit of reading the Qur'an at Maghrib prayer is one of the efforts to shape a young generation with noble morals and strong religious knowledge. However, in the region, this tradition is starting to diminish due to technological developments, lack of parental attention and minimal religious activities for children. Community service activities with the theme "cultivating Maghrib Quran reading" were carried out in Tamiang Village, Batang Lubu Sutam District, Padang Lawas Regency as a form of education and religious guidance for children and adolescents. The goal is to revitalize interest in reading the Qur'an at Maghrib prayer, familiarize positive interactions between Quran teachers and children in Tamiang Village and strengthen the role of families and communities in fostering the morals of the younger generation. Implementation methods include direct coaching, mentoring Quran learning, and routine habits of reading the Qur'an after congregational Maghrib prayers. This activity involves Quran teachers, children and the local community.  As a result, the religious atmosphere in the village has become more vibrant, children are more focused in how they spend their evening prayers, and social relationships have been strengthened among residents.

Abstract

The community's low level of understanding of financial literacy, particularly Islamic finance, is one of the factors inhibiting economic growth at the rural level. This situation also occurs in Tamiang Village, Batang Lubu Sutam District, Padang Lawas Regency, where the majority of residents still manage their finances traditionally without considering Islamic principles or appropriate management strategies. This problem impacts the community's limitations in developing businesses, managing income, and accessing Islamic financial services. To address this issue, a Community Service Program in the form of "Islamic Financial Literacy Socialization" was conducted, focusing on educating and assisting the community in managing finances according to Islamic principles. The objective of this activity was to increase the community's understanding and skills in managing household and small business finances, thereby boosting family economic growth. Implementation methods included interactive lectures, group discussions, financial management simulations, and direct consultations, with a strategy involving community leaders, MSMEs, and village officials. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the basic concepts of Islamic finance, the importance of financial planning, and the utilization of Islamic financial products.  As a result, people are becoming more aware of the importance of saving, avoiding usurious practices, and becoming wiser in managing their income and expenses, thus contributing to improved family well-being.

Abstract

The Indonesian Ulema Council's Da'iyah Training is a strategic effort to improve the competence and capacity of Da'iyah (Islamic preachers) in carrying out their da'wah duties professionally and effectively. This training activity is designed to equip Da'iyah with in-depth religious knowledge, persuasive communication skills, and managerial skills that support the implementation of da'wah in various levels of society. In the training, participants receive material on the principles of da'wah, engaging delivery techniques, the use of modern da'wah media, and strengthening the character and ethics of da'is in accordance with Islamic values. The training process is conducted through interactive methods, group discussions, simulations, and case studies to optimally enhance participant understanding and engagement. In addition to technical aspects, this training also emphasizes the importance of adapting da'wah in the digital era by utilizing information technology and social media as a means of disseminating da'wah messages. This is crucial considering the highly dynamic and complex challenges of da'wah in the modern era. Training evaluations show a significant increase in participants' abilities to deliver da'wah in a more systematic, engaging, and contextual manner. By improving the quality of Da'iyah, it is hoped that their contribution to building a society with noble morals, tolerance, and harmony can be realized. Overall, this training by the Indonesian Da'iyah Council has had a positive impact in strengthening the role of Da'iyah as agents of social and spiritual change in Indonesia.
