Abstract

The habit of reading the Qur'an at Maghrib prayer is one of the efforts to shape a young generation with noble morals and strong religious knowledge. However, in the region, this tradition is starting to diminish due to technological developments, lack of parental attention and minimal religious activities for children. Community service activities with the theme "cultivating Maghrib Quran reading" were carried out in Tamiang Village, Batang Lubu Sutam District, Padang Lawas Regency as a form of education and religious guidance for children and adolescents. The goal is to revitalize interest in reading the Qur'an at Maghrib prayer, familiarize positive interactions between Quran teachers and children in Tamiang Village and strengthen the role of families and communities in fostering the morals of the younger generation. Implementation methods include direct coaching, mentoring Quran learning, and routine habits of reading the Qur'an after congregational Maghrib prayers. This activity involves Quran teachers, children and the local community.  As a result, the religious atmosphere in the village has become more vibrant, children are more focused in how they spend their evening prayers, and social relationships have been strengthened among residents.

Abstract

The community's low level of understanding of financial literacy, particularly Islamic finance, is one of the factors inhibiting economic growth at the rural level. This situation also occurs in Tamiang Village, Batang Lubu Sutam District, Padang Lawas Regency, where the majority of residents still manage their finances traditionally without considering Islamic principles or appropriate management strategies. This problem impacts the community's limitations in developing businesses, managing income, and accessing Islamic financial services. To address this issue, a Community Service Program in the form of "Islamic Financial Literacy Socialization" was conducted, focusing on educating and assisting the community in managing finances according to Islamic principles. The objective of this activity was to increase the community's understanding and skills in managing household and small business finances, thereby boosting family economic growth. Implementation methods included interactive lectures, group discussions, financial management simulations, and direct consultations, with a strategy involving community leaders, MSMEs, and village officials. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the basic concepts of Islamic finance, the importance of financial planning, and the utilization of Islamic financial products.  As a result, people are becoming more aware of the importance of saving, avoiding usurious practices, and becoming wiser in managing their income and expenses, thus contributing to improved family well-being.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the dissolution of marriage due to wife M (Analysis of the Sibuhuan Religious Court Decision No. 255 / Pdt.D / 2023 / PA Sibuhuan). The usefulness of this study is expected to be useful information for researchers, especially in fulfilling the requirements for a Bachelor of Laws degree as well as a reference for similar researchers and can provide understanding and knowledge about the dissolution of marriage due to apostasy of the wife (analysis of the Sibuhuan Religious Court Decision No. 255 / Pdt.D / 2023 / PA Sibuhuan. This research is a field research, which is a research that is directly related to the object being studied. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. For data collection, the data collection instruments used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data processing is carried out by conducting a study of the theory of reality that exists at the research site. The results of the study concluded that: first, the judge's consideration in deciding the case of dissolution of marriage because the wife apostatized (analysis of the decision of the Sibuhuan Religious Court No. 255 / Pdt.D / 2023 / PA Sibuhuan, namely the applicant and respondent's family were not harmonious because since the applicant was sick and at that time the respondent decided to migrate to Pekanbaru City and when the respondent returned he had remarried and at that time the applicant decided to divorce the respondent because he had remarried and had apostatized and did not want to return to Islam. The applicant and respondent cannot be reconciled and have been going on continuously. Then the legal basis for the judge in deciding this case to be fasakh is Article 116 letter (h) of the compilation of Islamic law. The legal consequences arising from the fasakh decision are that the marriage contract is canceled absolutely, this indicates that the relationship between the two is legally broken and there is no longer a special bond or relationship. If during the iddah period, the wife has not repented, then she is not allowed to reconcile or enter into a new marriage contract. Other consequences of fasakh are: the wife does not receive a living, the child's position remains as a legitimate child, the obligation to care for the child, joint assets are divided fairly. And it also results in an apostate husband or wife not having the right to be the guardian of another Muslim person.

Abstract

The rise of digital da'wah in the social media era has profoundly reshaped the dissemination of Islamic teachings, particularly through platforms such as YouTube. This phenomenon underscores the importance of examining how hadith-based Islamic narratives are constructed within contemporary popular religious discourse. This study investigates the narrative construction of hadiths in the da'wah content of Ustadz Nuzul Dzikri on YouTube and explores how his communicative strategies influence the audience’s comprehension of hadith teachings. The research focuses on the selection, presentation, and interpretation of hadiths in his lectures, considering both the scholarly substance and rhetorical techniques employed. Adopting a qualitative methodology, this study utilizes content analysis as its primary method, with data gathered through participatory observation, documentation, and video analysis. The findings reveal that Ustadz Nuzul Dzikri employs a thematic method grounded in authentic hadiths, delivered in a systematic and accessible style. This approach successfully integrates classical Islamic scholarship with contemporary da'wah communication practices, resonating strongly with urban digital audiences and addressing the evolving demands of Islamic propagation in the era of new media

Abstract

The development of hadith codification in the 3rd to 4th centuries of the Hijri marked an increasingly complex process of systematising the transmission of religious knowledge through various hadith compilations. However, modern hadith studies tend to focus on the criticism of the sanad (chain of transmission) and the evaluation of narrators’ authority. In contrast, the methodological dimensions of compilation methods, thematic organisation, and the practical orientation of hadith compilations are less thoroughly analysed. This gap is particularly evident in studies of the works of 4th-century Hijri scholars who integrated the legitimacy of sanad transmission with the practical needs of the community. This study aims to analyse the methodology of hadith compilation in the works of Ibn Sunnī and to explain how the integration of the legitimacy of sanad transmission and a practical orientation shaped the structure of hadith compilations during that period. The study uses a qualitative approach, with textual analysis and the historiography of hadith, through an examination of the thematic structure of the books, the configuration of the sanad transmission network, and variations in hadith redaction in Ibn Sunnī’s works. The results show that Ibn Sunnī’s compilation methodology exhibits three main characteristics. First, the pattern of hadith transmission relies on a broad and multi-layered network of teachers that strengthens the legitimacy of the sanad and reflects intellectual mobility within the 4th-century AH transmission network. Second, the hadith compilation is structured thematically, with a strong orientation towards worship, prayer, and daily ethics, so that it functions as a practical guide for the religious life of Muslim communities. Third, the text’s editing strategy preserves variations in hadith redactions across different transmission lines, representing the dynamics of transmission in the oral and written traditions. These findings suggest that Ibn Sunnī’s compilation functioned not only as an archive of sanad transmission but also as a pedagogical tool that connects scholarly authority with the religious needs of the community, thus making an important contribution to the understanding of the historiography and methodology of classical hadith compilation
