Abstract

Islamic teachings do not distinguish between the rights of women and those of men with regard to family life and social life. The Quran includes many verses on the subject of women's rights. Through textual interpretation, it can be seen that women have rights that are analogous to those of men, despite certain differences in certain areas, which can be attributed to the differing roles and responsibilities typically assumed by men. In Islam, women also possess rights similar to those of men, though certain matters differ. This discrepancy is attributed to the primary functions and responsibilities assumed by men. The following are examples of rights afforded to women in Islamic law: the right to receive an education, the right to receive a dowry and maintenance, the right to initiate divorce in instances where continuation of the marriage would result in harm, the right to inherit and the right to claim material compensation. In civil law, women's rights include: Women are accorded equal status with men with respect to their rights. In principle, women have the same freedom to pursue and obtain their rights as men, with the sole exception of married women and minors.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the basis of Islamic law in family planning programs. And to find out about the Family Planning (KB) program in the study of maqashid sharia. This research was carried out using library research and paying attention to the field (Field Research). Literature study is a process of searching for various literature, study results related to the research to be conducted. Literature study can be likened to a key that will open everything that can help solve research problems. The results of the research show that the legal basis for the Family Planning (KB) program is the generality of the verses which indicate that it is permissible to follow the family planning (KB) program, such as Surah al-Baqarah verse 233, Surah Luqman verse 14, Surah an-Nisa verse 9. In verse al- Baqarah verse 233, explains that children must be breastfed for two full years, therefore it is hoped that the mother will not become pregnant again before the baby is two and a half years old or in other words, the child's birth should be spaced at least thirty months, so that the child can be healthy and protected from disease, because of milk. The mother is the best for the baby's growth. This indicates the importance of the Family Planning program in realizing these desires. and in Surah an-Nisa verse 9 it is stated that economic weakness, lack of stable physical health conditions, and children's intellectual weakness due to lack of nutritious food, are the responsibility of both parents. And another legal basis is qiyas to 'azl, because both are human endeavors or efforts to regulate birth. And the ulama who allow this family planning program are Imam al-Ghazali, Imam Ramli, Shaykh al-Hariri, Shaykh Syalthut, for the reason of maintaining the mother's health, avoiding maternal difficulties, and spacing children apart. The Family Planning (KB) program in the study of maqashid sharia is (1) hifdzul nasl, because it benefits the health or education of children if the child's birth distance is too close. Even protection against the harm (bad effects) of family planning must take priority over taking advantage of the benefits of family planning itself. And with a small family size, it will be easier to achieve family prosperity and happiness, especially regarding maternal and child health. (2) Hifdzul nafs, because it benefits the life safety or health of the mother. (3) din, because there is a mafsadat of narrowing livelihoods.

Abstract

Islamic financial literacy plays a strategic role in creating household economic resilience, especially in rural areas. This study aims to formulate an Islamic financial management training model applicable for families in Ulu Aer Village. The research method employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review, observation, and focus group discussions with community leaders. The findings reveal that low financial literacy causes families to struggle in managing income and expenses. The proposed training model consists of five stages: financial problem identification, basic Islamic literacy training, practical workshops, application of Sharia principles, and mentoring and evaluation. Implementing this model is expected to enhance family financial management skills, reduce consumer debt burdens, and strengthen social solidarity through zakat, infaq, and sadaqah.

This activity began with concerns about the high level of smartphone addiction among young children in Panarian Village, Padanglawas Regency. Since people know and use smartphones in Panarian Village in their daily lives, it has had an impact on children's development. Where many parents use smartphones as a tool to help care for fussy children, the result is that many children become addicted and this has an impact on their children's character which is not good. This service activity was carried out using a structured counseling method involving 50 participants consisting of village officials and community representatives who had children aged 2 years to 16 years. To measure the level of success of counseling, pretests and posttests were carried out on activity participants. The results of outreach activities on parenting patterns and strengthening children's character include (1). The knowledge of the community in Panarian Village, Padanglawas Regency regarding parenting patterns is very minimal, as evidenced by the pretest results of 40% of the community having no knowledge of parenting strategies. (2). Counseling participants experienced an increase in knowledge after being given material and simulations by the presenters. This was proven by the results of the postet, which found that 64% of participants were in the very good category in understanding parenting strategies in the digital era. From the results of this activity it can be concluded that the impact of using smartphones as a means of caring for children is very dangerous for children. Abstract

The habit of reading the Qur'an at Maghrib prayer is one of the efforts to shape a young generation with noble morals and strong religious knowledge. However, in the region, this tradition is starting to diminish due to technological developments, lack of parental attention and minimal religious activities for children. Community service activities with the theme "cultivating Maghrib Quran reading" were carried out in Tamiang Village, Batang Lubu Sutam District, Padang Lawas Regency as a form of education and religious guidance for children and adolescents. The goal is to revitalize interest in reading the Qur'an at Maghrib prayer, familiarize positive interactions between Quran teachers and children in Tamiang Village and strengthen the role of families and communities in fostering the morals of the younger generation. Implementation methods include direct coaching, mentoring Quran learning, and routine habits of reading the Qur'an after congregational Maghrib prayers. This activity involves Quran teachers, children and the local community.  As a result, the religious atmosphere in the village has become more vibrant, children are more focused in how they spend their evening prayers, and social relationships have been strengthened among residents.

Abstract

The community's low level of understanding of financial literacy, particularly Islamic finance, is one of the factors inhibiting economic growth at the rural level. This situation also occurs in Tamiang Village, Batang Lubu Sutam District, Padang Lawas Regency, where the majority of residents still manage their finances traditionally without considering Islamic principles or appropriate management strategies. This problem impacts the community's limitations in developing businesses, managing income, and accessing Islamic financial services. To address this issue, a Community Service Program in the form of "Islamic Financial Literacy Socialization" was conducted, focusing on educating and assisting the community in managing finances according to Islamic principles. The objective of this activity was to increase the community's understanding and skills in managing household and small business finances, thereby boosting family economic growth. Implementation methods included interactive lectures, group discussions, financial management simulations, and direct consultations, with a strategy involving community leaders, MSMEs, and village officials. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of the basic concepts of Islamic finance, the importance of financial planning, and the utilization of Islamic financial products.  As a result, people are becoming more aware of the importance of saving, avoiding usurious practices, and becoming wiser in managing their income and expenses, thus contributing to improved family well-being.
