Abstract

Barberpop Premium is a barbershop/barber shop with a premium concept that affects service rates which tend to be expensive, however, Barberpop Premium has even become a popular barbershop. This study aims to describe how the lifestyle of Barberpop Premium consumers. The research method was carried out using field research techniques including the use of direct observation and interviews in data collection and analysis by qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study show that three lifestyles are carried out by every Barberpop Premium consumer. The three lifestyles are; (1) a lifestyle that shows the level of consumer social class, where consumers are more concerned with quality, comfort, and compatibility between themselves and Barberpop Premium so that consumers no longer care about high prices. (2) following fashion trends, namely consumers following fashion developments such as using skincare, choosing outfits, and visiting barbershops. (3) Hangout and shopping places for Premium Barberpop consumers, they usually hang out at premium places such as cafes and coffee shops and shop at distribution stores with brands such as Eiger, Joven, Chomenk, and Starcross.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe the culture of the community after the culture of the community after the entry of BRILink in Labaraga Village, North Wakorumba District, North Buton Regency. This study uses the theory of Cultural Interpretation of Clifford Geertz in Erlan Tedio Fawas by using a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique used is using observation and in-dept interviews. The results of this study indicate that the culture of the community after the inclusion of BRILink in Labaraga Village. With the development of science and technology, BRILink user in Labaraga Village have experienced changes. This change started with following the trend, thus motivating people to become BRILink agents as a service for the BRILink user community, where initially transactions at BRILink were still very minimal. However, as time goes by, transactions at BRILink are increasingly being used by the people of Labaraga Village and now it has become a habit for the community because transactions and other systems have become more practical.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Rubia, Kecamatan Aere, Kabupaten Kolaka Timur dalam pengolahan tanaman rempah-rempah menjadi minyak urut. Pelatihan ini mencakup teknik pengumpulan, pengeringan, dan pengolahan tanaman rempah-rempah yang tepat, serta formulasi dan proses pembuatan minyak urut tradisional. Peserta pelatihan akan mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam tentang manfaat dan khasiat tanaman rempah-rempah lokal, serta cara mengolahnya secara aman dan efektif. Diharapkan, pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi masyarakat melalui pengembangan usaha kecil menengah (UKM) berbasis tanaman rempah-rempah dan memperkenalkan produk minyak urut lokal berkualitas kepada masyarakat luas. Hasil pelatihan akan dievaluasi melalui survei kepuasan peserta dan pemantauan perkembangan usaha minyak urut yang dijalankan oleh para peserta.

Abstract

Sampah adalah salah satu masalah yang dihadapi penduduk, terutama di wilayah Kelurahan Silea, Kecamatan Wundulako, Kabupaten Kolaka, Sulawesi Tenggara. Karena kuantitas dan tingkat bahayanya yang tinggi, sampah harus diolah salah satunya menjadi kerajinan yang memiliki nilai jual dan estetika. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Silea dengan tujuan utama kegiatan adalah mengedukasi masyarakat untuk membangun kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dengan mengolah sampah yang dihasilkan menjadi benda yang memiliki nilai guna seperti tudung saji. Selain itu, dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan dan mendorong warga Kelurahan Silea untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan penggunaan sampah plastik melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan. Program pemanfaatan limbah plastik dilakukan dengan metode menganalisis situasi dan menerapkan penyuluhan serta pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterampilan warga, terutama ibu-ibu rumah tangga, pemuda pengangguran, dan anak-anak remaja. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah dengan melibatkan masyarakat secara langsung dan aktif dalam mengolah sampah plastik menjadi tudung saji sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pentingnya menjaga lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

Effective waste management is crucial for environmental sustainability. Utilizing waste through reuse and recycle techniques serves as a solution to mitigate the negative impacts of waste. This community service aims to educate students of the Department of Anthropology, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Halu Oleo, on the reuse and recycle techniques as an environmentally friendly waste management approach. The service partners are students who participate in training and socialization on how to repurpose used materials into useful products. The methods used include socialization, training, and hands-on practices related to repurposing used items such as plastic bottles, paper, and cardboard into crafts. The results of the community service show that the knowledge transfer through the provided counseling and training has motivated the participants to utilize waste produced daily and scattered waste in their living environment. Through the two techniques taught, participants were able to produce various products from materials once considered waste, transforming them into functional, artistic, and even edible items. The products created included bags, tissue holders, accessories, and snacks.
