Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the organoleptic quality of salted duck eggs treated with a combination of lime leaves (Citrus hystrix) and cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens), and to determine the best formulation that produces optimal organoleptic quality. The study was conducted using the completely randomized design (CRD) method, consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replicates, each of which included 3 duck eggs, with treatment P0: without lime (Citrus hystrix) with cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens), P1: 20% lime (Citrus hystrix) + 80% cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens), P2: 50% lime (Citrus hystrix) + 50% cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens), P3: 80 kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix) + 20% cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens). The results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) showed a significant effect (P<0.05) on aroma and taste, but color, texture, and preference level did not show a significant effect (P<0.05). Consumers most preferred salted duck eggs combined with a mixture of 20% kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix) and 80% cayenne pepper (Capsicum futescens) extract (P1), while the least preferred salted duck eggs were those containing 80% kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix) and 20% cayenne pepper (Capsicum futescens) extract (P3).

Abstract

This study aims to identify the potential of palm oil waste as ruminant livestock feed in Bulik District, Lamandau Regency. The research method used is a survey method using a questionnaire. The sample used was 60 farmers determined using the Slovin formula. The variables observed were the potential of palm oil waste as livestock feed consisting of fronds and leaves and technical aspects of livestock maintenance. Data analysis was descriptively based on the Technical Factor Identification Score of Livestock Standard Guidelines from the Directorate General of Livestock (1990). The results showed that the potential for palm oil fronds and leaves waste for feed was: 87.657.600 kg for each year and could feed 6,419,65 AU. The technical aspects of beef cattle farming in Bulik District were: 53.41% with categories: 51.04% livestock; 46.90% feed, 62% maintenance, 81.11% housing and 40.88% healthy technical aspects.

Abstract

Abstrak Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan telur asin sebagai makanan bergizi kepada siswa SDIT Mutiara Ilmu. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah kurangnya pemahaman anak-anak tentang gizi seimbang serta rendahnya konsumsi makanan bergizi, seperti telur asin, di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar. Sebagai solusi, program ini akan melaksanakan edukasi gizi melalui penyuluhan, demonstrasi pembuatan telur asin, serta kegiatan interaktif yang menarik. Dengan pendekatan ini, siswa diharapkan lebih memahami manfaat telur asin, meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pola makan sehat, serta mengembangkan keterampilan dalam memilih dan mengolah makanan bergizi. Kegiatan edukasi pengenalan  mengenai telur asin sebagai makanan bergizi kepada 20 siswa Sekolah Dasar Islami Terpadu Mutiara Ilmu berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dengan signifikan, di mana 83% peserta menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik terhadap materi yang diberikan. Melalui penyampaian informasi dan diskusi interaktif, siswa diajarkan tentang pentingnya memilih makanan yang bergizi dan sehat, yang dapat membantu membentuk pola makan yang baik. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan pengabdian berjalan sesuai dengan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Kata kunci: telur asin; jajajanan; bergizi; sehat. Abstract This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to introduce salted eggs as a nutritious food to students of SDIT Mutiara Ilmu. The problems raised are the lack of understanding of children about balanced nutrition and low consumption of nutritious foods, such as salted eggs, among elementary school students. As a solution, this program will organize nutrition education through counseling, cooking salted eggs, and interesting interactive activities. With this approach, students are expected to be able to better understand the benefits of salted eggs, increase awareness of the importance of a healthy diet, and develop skills in choosing and processing nutritious foods. The educational activity introducing salted eggs as a nutritious food to 20 students of SDIT Mutiara Ilmu succeeded in significantly increasing student knowledge, where 83% of participants showed a good understanding of the material provided. Through the delivery of information and interactive discussions, students were taught about the importance of choosing nutritious and healthy foods, which can help form good eating patterns. Overall, the community service activity ran according to the objectives that had been set. Keywords: salted eggs; snacks; nutritious; healthy

Abstract

Abstrak Pembelajaran tingkat dasar di Kabupaten Lamandau Kalimantan Tengah terus dilakukan melalui pembelajaran teori dan praktik. Adanya mata pembelajaran eksakta menuntut para siswa untuk melakukan dan berkolaborasi secara kelompok. Tujuan pembelajaran ini untuk mempermudah para siswa untuk melakukan pembelajaran secara aktif dan interaktif. Salah satu pembelajaran tersebut ialah praktik pembedahan orga reproduksi pada hewan. Rata-rata siswa-siswi SDIT Mutiara Ilmu belum pernah melakukan pembedahan secara langsung pada hewan dan belum mengenal alat-alat pembedahan sesuai dengan metode dan kaidah yang benar. Pembedahan organ hewan yang dilakukan pada katak merupakan metode yang dirancang secara sederhana agar siswa dapat melakukan secara langsung. Pemahaman yang dilakukan yaitu dengan membedah dan mengidentifikasi organ reproduksi katak. Identifikasi tersebut dilakukan dengan membedakan antara anatomi organ katak jantan dan betina beserta fungsinya. Metode parsitipatif siswa dilakukan melalui presentasi menggunakan media brosur dan diskusi bersama siswa. Untuk melakukan tingkat uji pemahaman dilakukan post test di akhir kegiatan pembedahan sehingga diharapkan siswa dapat memahami dan mengaplikasikan secara langsung. Kata kunci: metode pembedahan; organ reproduksi hewan; pembelajaran Abstract Write Basic learning in Lamandau Regency, Central Kalimantan continues to be carried out through theoretical and practical learning. The existence of exact subjects requires students to do and collaborate in groups. This will make it easier for students to learn actively and interactively. One of these learning activities is the practice of dissecting reproductive organs in animals. On average, students at SDIT Mutiara Ilmu have never performed direct surgery on animals and are not familiar with surgical tools according to the correct methods and rules. Dissection of animal organs carried out on frogs is a method that is designed simply so that students can do it directly. The understanding carried out is by dissecting and identifying the reproductive organs of frogs. This identification is carried out by distinguishing between the anatomy of male and female frog organs and their functions. The student participatory method is carried out through presentations using brochure media and discussions with students. To carry out the level of understanding test, a post-test is carried out at the end of the dissection activity so that students are expected to be able to understand and apply it directly. Keywords: animal reproductive organs; learning; surgical methods
