Abstract

This research focuses on the influence of principals' instructional leadership and work culture on teacher performance through a literature study approach. This research method uses a literature study method with a narrative review model. The research results show that effective instructional leadership from the principal has a positive impact on teacher performance and effective instructional leadership from the principal creates a better work culture. With good instructional leadership, school principals can encourage improvements in teacher performance through appropriate supervision, direction, and support. In conclusion, showing that the influence of instructional leadership is significant in building a positive work culture and supporting increased quality of performance in the school environment. Abstract

This study examines the application of the situational leadership style by principals to enhance teacher performance at SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. The research utilized a literature review approach, involving data collection, identifying data sources, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that the principal's situational leadership style, encompassing dictating, selling, participation, and delegation, tends to be participative. This participatory approach enables teachers and staff to be more involved in school activities. Moreover, the principal's situational leadership style has a substantial impact on teacher performance. As a result, an improved situational leadership style from the principal can enhance teachers' effectiveness in carrying out their responsibilities.
