Abstract

This study aims to design and develop flipbook media that incorporates responsibility values for elementary school students. The study utilized the Design-Based Research (DBR) approach, employing the Reeves model, which consists of four key phases: problem identification and analysis, prototype development, iterative testing and refinement, and reflective evaluation. The study involved fourth-grade students and teachers from elementary schools in Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, as well as four expert validators specializing in subject content, character education, educational media, and pedagogy. Data were collected through various methods, including observation, interviews, document analysis, questionnaires, and expert evaluations. Both qualitative and quantitative approaches were applied in analyzing the data. The results revealed that the flipbook media incorporating responsibility values is deemed highly appropriate for use in the educational process. Expert evaluations showed that the flipbook media scored high in terms of feasibility, with scores ranging from 75% to 94.90%. The flipbook media was designed with various engaging features, such as videos, games, and visual displays, to foster an active and interactive learning atmosphere

Abstract

KATA KUNCI: aksara Sunda, carda akusara, media flipcard digital   FLIPCARD MEDIA IN THE CARDA AKUSARA APPLICATION  FOR LEARNING TO WRITE SUNDA SCRIPT  (EXPERIMENT ON SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMP PASUNDAN 9 BANDUNG IN THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR)   ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the effect of using flipcards in the Carda Akusara application on the Sundanese writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Pasundan 9 Bandung. The background of this study is based on the low motivation and ability of students in writing Sundanese due to learning that still focuses on conventional methods. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class VII E as the experimental group and class VII F as the control group, each with 36 students. The research instrument was a Sundanese script writing test that had been validated by experts. The learning process in the experimental class utilized the Carda Akusara application, which is equipped with character visualization, writing exercises, quizzes, and automatic evaluation features. The normality and homogeneity test results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The independent sample t-test on the posttest scores showed significance, namely 0.008 (< 0.05), which means that there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The average posttest scores of students in the experimental class were 7.015 points higher. The observation results showed that students were more active, enthusiastic, and responded positively to the use of learning media. These results confirm that the use of the Carda Akusara application is effective in improving Sundanese script writing skills. Not only does it encourage the preservation of local literacy, this media is also relevant to the characteristics of 21st century learning, which is technology-based, interactive, and participatory.   KEYWORDS: Sundanese script, Carda Akusara, digital flipcard media..
