Abstract

This study is useful to determine the perception of adolescent girls towards the soap opera Ikatan Cinta in Medan Krio Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency and to find out the differences in the perception of adolescent girls towards the soap opera Ikatan Cinta, both in terms of education and age. So the method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. This study uses the Uses and Gratification theory. This theory was proposed by Elizu Katz, Jay G. Blumler and Michael Gurevitch. This theory shows that the main problem is not how the media changes the attitudes and behavior of the audience, but how the media meets the personal and social needs of the audience. The results of this study indicate that the Perception of Teenage Girls towards the soap opera Ikatan Cinta produces various kinds. One of the main things that makes this soap opera viral is the interesting storyline and also the visualization of players who fall into the standard of beautiful according to Indonesian people.

Abstract

At the Villa Permata Sunggal Housing, this study attempts to determine the nature and impact of interpersonal communication between parents and children from a broken household. The manner of communication and the function of parents in the lives of children from broken homes must be addressed immediately. The findings of this study show that communication is going well since people are paying attention to each other and communicating effectively. This method of communication has a number of consequences. First, a youngster from a broken home who communicates in a harmonious manner has both harmful and positive consequences. Second, children who grow up in broken homes with poor communication tend to be deviant. Parents should commit time to their children by interacting with them and engaging in direct connection with them. The principle of self-disclosure and SOR are used in this work, as well as descriptive methodologies. In-depth interviews and observation are two data collection approaches utilized by researchers. Three harmonious broken households, three disharmonious families, and two harmonious-disharmonious families were questioned by the researchers.

Abstract

People in Indonesia itself from several regions are still unable to enjoy the availability of clean water in meeting their daily household needs. This study aims to examine water quality problems in the use of clean water in households in Tangkahan Village, Medan Labuhan District. The method used a direct survey with cross-sectional research design with the criteria of people domiciled in Tangkahan Village. Samples were collected through direct interviews using questionnaires and then the data were analyzed descriptively of frequency and bivariate. The results showed that almost half of the respondents who felt comfortable after drinking dirty water and were at risk 2.47 times. This study concludes that more than 50% of people have low water quality in their households and that communities and local government leaders must be diligent in carrying out mutual cooperation to clean up water facilities in the local environment.

Abstract

The Development and Operationof the library depends on the pattern of Peoples’s lives,the information needed,of the community, and the ability of the community to understand the use odf technology. The public library which is an educational institution aimed at the community as a provider or various information, according to the scientific needs of all levels of society. Give this, it means that libraries have a very big hole in increasing interest in reading. The existance of a children’s service program, which is aimed at children, makes children experience faster growth and development of the ability to think and have broad insights. The research method used is qualitative research, namely collecting primary data through the results of observations, interviews and documentation. And Secondary data in the form of Literature Review sourced from Journals, Books and the Internet. The results showed that the Children's Services at the Regional Library of Deli Serdang Regency were effective, this was seen from the large number of visitors who packed the children's room every day, and adequate facilities. However, it is necessary to develop human resources in this library.

Abstract

Sanggar Anak Sungai Deli (SASUDE) merupakan lembaga non pemerintah yang bergerak pada bidang swadaya literasi anak pada wilayah tepian Sungai Deli, kota Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran SASUDE sebagai gerakan swadaya literasi anak dalam membangun SDGs khususnya pada pilar ke 4, 5 dan 10. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan uji keabsahan data melalui triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data yang digunakan mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman. Dalam dilakukannya penelitian ini terdapat 7 informan, terdiri dari : Founder SASUDE, tim pengajar SASUDE, 2 relawan SASUDE dan 3 orang tua dari anak murid SASUDE. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa SASUDE memiliki peranan dalam mendukung SDGs, yaitu : 1) Menyediakan tempat belajar anak sebagai sarana edukasi anak tepian Sungai Deli, 2) Membangun kualitas literasi anak dengan diadakannya kelas literasi dan program literasi lingkungan, 3) Memperbaiki lingkungan dengan diadakannya program Eco Brick, 4) Menegaskan kesetaraan gender yang ada di tepian Sungai Deli, dan 5) Mengurangi ketimpangan sosial yang hidup di wilayah pinggiran khususnya ketimpangan pendidikan dan ekonomi. Dampak yang diberikan SASUDE cukup besar, meningkatnya kualitas pendidikan anak yang memiliki ekonomi rendah maupun tidak.    Sanggar Anak Sungai Deli (SASUDE) is a non-governmental organization engaged in children's literacy self-help on the banks of the Deli River, Medan City. This study aims to discover the role of SASUDE as a child literacy self-help movement in building SDGs, especially on pillars 4, 5 and 10. This research uses descriptive qualitative research techniques that use data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Researchers used data validity tests in this study through source and technique triangulation. The data analysis used refers to the Miles and Huberman model. In conducting this research, there were seven informants: the SASUDE Founder, the SASUDE teaching team, 2 SASUDE volunteers and three parents of SASUDE students. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that SASUDE has a role in supporting the SDGs, namely: 1) Providing a place for children's learning as a means of educating children on the banks of the Deli River, 2) Building the quality of children's literacy by holding literacy classes and environmental literacy programs, 3) Improving the environment by holding the Eco Brick program, 4) Affirming gender equality on the banks of the Deli River, and 5) Reducing social inequality living in suburban areas, primarily educational and economic inequality. The impact given by SASUDE is quite significant, increasing the quality of education for children with a low economy.

Abstract

This article delves into the history of religious leaders and founders involved in the construction of the Jami Air Tiris Mosque in Kampar Regency. Notably, Datuk Ongku Mudo Sangkal, a highly revered cleric in Tanjung Berulak village, played a pivotal role. Having received his religious education in Cdung and Taram, West Sumatra, he returned to Tanjung Berulak to propagate Islam and establish religious educational institutions for the local community. Employing qualitative research methods and a descriptive approach encompassing historical and sociological perspectives, this study utilized observation, interviews, literacy, and documentation for data collection. The research involved four sequential stages: heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. Its main objective was to explore the profound contributions of Datuk Ongku Mudo Sangkal in disseminating Islam in Kampar. The findings underscore his esteemed status as a knowledgeable scholar and his significant role in fostering Islamic development in the Kampar area, particularly in Tanjung Berulak Village, Air Tiris District. The community greatly reveres Datuk Ongku Mudo Sangkal and consistently seeks his guidance to address various local issues and challenges.

Abstract

Because of the growing widespread use of the internet, every individual, including students, must be able to recognise and identify hoax news circulating, and each one must have information literacy abilities to prevent it. The purpose of this study is to examine the information literacy skills of SMA Negeri 1 Sorkam Barat pupils in terms of hoax news awareness. A survey method using a quantitative approach was adopted. A questionnaire was utilised as the study instrument, and basic linear regression was used to analyse the data. This study's population consists of 943 students from SMA Negeri 1 Sorkam Barat. The samples were drawn from the slovin calculation results, which included 90 pupils. This study's variables are students' information literacy abilities (X) and information awareness of hoax news (Y). The study's findings indicate that literacy skills have an impact on information awareness of false news. The regression findings demonstrate that the X variable has an influence on Y, with a significant value of 0.000 0.05 and a tcount of 3.971 > ttable 1.991. A constant of 13,192 denotes the constant value of variable X. Because the coefficient is positive, we can deduce that literacy skills are strong, so will information awareness of hoax news

Abstract

Abstrak: Through the library, the advancement of science and information technology also influences societal elements of life. The high level of community production makes it challenging for people to obtain library material needs, limiting engagement and library use. The Library and Archives Service of North Sumatra Province uses information and communication technology to meet user needs by developing technology-based services that facilitate effective and efficient library activities. Examples of these services include a library service system in a pocket (silapustaku) or online book reservations. To make it simpler to explain how the system functions and is utilized by the community, this study uses UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling to examine the pocket library service system or online book reservation. A descriptive qualitative approach to the design of the UML system development is the research methodology adopted. The study's findings demonstrate a type of UML modeling design that enables each user to be viewed clearly and understood when utilizing the system. in order to build a library approach with the community and improve library performance via the use of technology. Keywords: Information System, Online Book Reservation, UML (Unified Modeling Language)Abstrak : Ilmu pengetahuan yang berkembang serta teknologi informasi yang berkermbang juga mempengaruhi aspek kehidupan di masyarakkat melalui perpustakaan. Perpustakaan dituntut untuk ikut berperan dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanannya dalam memenuhi kenutuhan informasi penggunanyal. dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pemustaka, Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Provinsi Sumatera Utara memberikan inovasi pelayanan dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dengan menggunakan sistem layanan pustaka dalam saku (silapustaku) atau reservasi buku online sebagai pengembangan layanan berbasisi teknologi dalam proses memudahkan aktifitas perpustakaan yang efektif dan efesien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis system layanan pustaka dalam saku atau reservasi buku online  dengan menggunakan pemodelan UML (Unified Modeling Language) untuk memudahkan dalam memaparkan kerja system dan di gunakan oleh masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang di gunakan merupakan metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan perancangan pengembangan system UML. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bentuk rancangan pemodelan menggunakan UML yang memungkinkan setiap pengguna dapat terlihat jelas dan mudah di mengerti dalam menggunakan system. Sehingga penggunaan teknologi mampu meningkatkan kinerja perpustakaan dan menjalin pendekatan perpustakaan dengan masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Sistem Informasi,  Reservasi Buku Online, UML (Unified Modeling Language)

Abstract

A library based on social inclusion is a library transformation that serves the information needs of all users without being limited to layers of social groups. So that the need for libraries as a place for literacy makes a transformation program to increase the role of the community to be better in participating in improving its social and economy. This research is a qualitative type with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation at the Asahan District Library and Archives Service. The results of the study show that the transformation of social inclusion-based library services at the Asahan District Library and Archives Service provides changes or development of services that lead to provision or improvement of individual abilities to prepare themselves to improve their economy including: (1) knitting services for beginners, (2) learning computers, (3) library services, (4) story telling services, (5) mobile libraries and smart cars, and (6) socialization of reading and literacy services. This transformation program is carried out to make people, especially in Asahan Regency, able to have good skills in information, economy and digitalization.
