Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the skills and competitiveness of community business groups in Batang Kuis Pekan Village in the fields of handicrafts, souvenirs, screen printing, and printing. The methods used include problem identification, program planning, activity implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The program includes design and production training, digital marketing, and business financial management. The results of the evaluation showed that more than 80% of the participants were able to apply the skills taught, including the use of digital technology for marketing and financial records. The assistance provided also helped participants overcome technical obstacles in production and business management. This activity was strengthened by a discussion session with STMIK lecturer Mulia Darma who emphasized the importance of collaboration between academics, the government, and the business community in building a sustainable business ecosystem. The recommendation for the formation of a local entrepreneurial community is expected to strengthen the network between business actors and support the sustainability of the program. Thus, this program has succeeded in providing real benefits for community business groups and can be used as a model for community-based economic development in other regions.

Abstract

Inventory management at the Frisian Flag Distributor requires a system capable of determining procurement priorities accurately and objectively. Inaccurately determining which items should be prioritized often leads to problems such as overstock, understock, and the risk of losses due to expired goods. To address these issues, a decision support system using the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) method with ROC (Rank Order Centroid) weighting was implemented. ROC weighting is used to determine the importance of each criterion based on priority order, while the MOORA method is used in the normalization process, calculating optimization values, and determining alternative rankings. The criteria used in the decision-making process include sales level, remaining stock, market demand, product price, and expiration date. Data processing results show that the combination of the MOORA and ROC methods can produce a systematic, measurable, and objective order of stock procurement priorities. The designed system can assist distributor management in making faster and more accurate decisions. The implementation of this method is expected to improve inventory management efficiency and minimize the risk of losses due to errors in determining procurement priorities.

Abstract

Abstract

Selection of Final Project Topics is a crucial stage in the academic process, as it significantly affects the smoothness of project preparation and completion. However, the determination of final project topics often remains subjective and does not systematically consider students’ academic abilities. This study aims to design and develop a Decision Support System for selecting final project topics for students in the Informatics Management Department using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is employed to evaluate and rank alternative topics based on several criteria, including supporting course grades, student interest, programming skills, system analysis and design capabilities, and the availability of supervising lecturers. The results indicate that the SAW method can provide objective and transparent recommendations for final project topics. Based on the calculation, alternative A4 achieved the highest preference score of 0.962, making it the most recommended final project topic. Therefore, the developed system is expected to assist both students and academic staff in making more effective and structured decisions regarding final project topic selection.
