Abstract

Teaching Assistance is part of the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) program which aims to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills and provide opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves. One of the target schools for this program is SMP Negeri 4 Mauliru. This program includes various strategies, including optimizing reading corners equipped with picture illustrations to attract students' interest as well as casual reading activities aimed at improving reading habits. Apart from that, this program also involves distributing multiplication brochures to strengthen students' understanding of numeracy as well as making literacy and numeracy posters with the aim of providing a deeper understanding while strengthening educational messages about the importance of literacy and numeracy.  The main aim of this program is to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills, as well as support the development of basic abilities and create a fun learning environment. The results show that this program has a positive impact by increasing literacy and numeracy skills, as well as students' learning motivation and interest in reading.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji keanekaragaman Asteroidea di Pantai Tarimbang, Kecamatan Tabundung, Kabupaten Sumba Timur, serta mengevaluasi pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan ajar berbentuk ensiklopedia untuk siswa SMA sesuai Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian dilakukan pada Juli 2025 dengan metode metode transek garis dengan plot yang mewakili substrat keras, campuran, dan halus. Parameter lingkungan seperti suhu, salinitas, dan pH diukur untuk memastikan kesesuaian habitat. Indeks keanekaragaman Shannon–Wiener (H′ = 0,820) menunjukkan tingkat keanekaragaman Asteroidea yang tergolong rendah. Tiga spesies berhasil teridentifikasi, yaitu Linckia laevigata, Echinaster luzonicus, dan Archaster angulatus. L. laevigata memiliki kepadatan tertinggi (25,45 individu/ha) dengan frekuensi 0,27 dan dominan pada substrat keras. E. luzonicus ditemukan pada substrat campuran dengan kepadatan 18,18 individu/ha dan frekuensi 0,16. Sementara itu, A. angulatus hanya dijumpai pada substrat halus, dengan kepadatan 1,818 individu/ha dan frekuensi 0,05. Indeks dominansi Simpson (C = 0,4752) menunjukkan tidak ada spesies yang mendominasi secara absolut. Kondisi lingkungan tercatat berada dalam kisaran optimal untuk keberadaan ketiga spesies tersebut. Ensiklopedia hasil kajian telah melalui validasi isi sebanyak 100 % dan dinyatakan sangat layak sebagai sumber belajar bagi siswa SMA menurut standar Kurikulum 2013. Hasil penelitian ini tidak hanya memperkaya informasi tentang biodiversitas lokal di Pantai Tarimbang, tetapi juga memperkuat relevansi pemanfaatan Asteroidea sebagai media pembelajaran ilmu hayati berbasis lingkungan.

Abstract

The implementation of teaching assistance from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia provides an opportunity for students to increase their insight and gain experience in helping the teaching and learning process in educational units. The implementation method at the Partner School, namely SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu, has several stages, namely observation, interview implementation, and evaluation. The rograms implemented are academic activities including literacy (Creating a knowledge tree), numeracy (Creating a multiplication control pocket book, non-academic activities (biology and mathematics learning media exhibition) and library space arrangement. The results achieved from creating a knowledge tree through literacy produce structured understanding, facilitate information organization, and improve critical thinking skills. The results of numeracy through the creation of a multiplication control pocket book are an increase in the ability to calculate quickly and accurately, and make it easier for students to remember and master multiplication tables in a practical and efficient way. The results of the Biology and Mathematics learning media exhibition are an increase in student understanding through interactive visualization, which makes it easier for them to understand complex concepts in both subjects. The results of the library space arrangement are the creation of a more organized, comfortable, and efficient space, which supports the comfort of visitors in accessing information sources.
