Abstract

Parental divorce is a social phenomenon that is increasing and has a wide impact on children as the most vulnerable party. This study aims to describe and analyze the impact of divorce on child development from two perspectives, namely the Islamic perspective and health workers, and to explore a strategic approach that integrates the two. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were obtained through literature studies and in-depth interviews with health workers, religious leaders and the community in Sumedang Regency, then analyzed thematically. The results of the study indicate that divorce has a negative impact on the psychosocial aspects, physical health, and spiritual development of children. The Islamic perspective emphasizes that although divorce is permitted, parental responsibility for children's rights must still be carried out. Meanwhile, from a medical perspective, children who are victims of divorce require growth and development monitoring, psychological support, and nutritional intervention. Thus, child protection after divorce requires a holistic approach that involves collaboration between parents, health workers, religious leaders, and educational institutions to ensure optimal child growth and development. Abstract

Kata kunci: nikah siri, hukum Islam, hukum positif, perlindungan hukum, Sumedang Abstract This study aims to examine the views of Islamic scholars and academics on the practice of nikah siri (unregistered marriage) in Sumedang Regency from both Islamic law and positive law perspectives. Nikah siri is considered religiously valid but lacks official state registration, which leads to various legal and social implications. This research employs a qualitative phenomenological approach through semi-structured interviews with 20 respondents, including scholars and academics. The findings reveal that although nikah siri is deemed valid under Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), the absence of legal documentation causes legal uncertainty for women and children, and fosters social stigma. Economic constraints, cultural factors, and lack of legal awareness are the main drivers behind this phenomenon. Therefore, collaborative efforts from the government, religious leaders, and society are essential to increase legal awareness and provide comprehensive protection for those involved. Abstract

Tubectomy, as a permanent contraceptive method, triggers ethical and religious dilemmas in society, especially in the context of Islam which emphasizes the importance of community regeneration. This study aims to explore the perspective of Islamic law and the views of community nursing on tubectomy, as well as to examine the medical and social factors that influence decision making. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method and a case study design. Involving four participants from various backgrounds, namely two scholars, one community health nurse, one patient who has undergone a tubectomy procedure, all sources domiciled in Sumedang. Data were collected through offline interviews, then the results of the interviews were processed through various stages starting from collecting data from all interview sources and relevant journals, managing data by checking the accuracy of the data, interpreting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are various factors that cause tubectomy to become one of the contraceptive methods used, this is influenced by the number of children, health factors, economic factors, and career priorities. The perspective of scholars highlights that tubectomy is contrary to Islamic teachings because of its nature which causes infertility, and changes human nature. If used for birth control, it is forbidden unless it is used for reasons that are in accordance with sharia. Meanwhile, the findings also show the important role of community nurses as educators who bridge medical understanding and religious values in society. Formal and participatory education involving religious and community leaders has proven effective in increasing acceptance of this procedure. This study concludes that tubectomy is ethically and religiously acceptable if carried out within the framework of sharia, with appropriate health and educational considerations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the process of moral internalisation in shaping the character of adolescent martial arts students at the Tapak Suci Training Centre in Sumedang. The study highlights the novelty of martial arts education as a holistic medium for integrating moral, spiritual, and behavioural development among adolescents. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that moral internalisation occurs through the integration of cognitive (moral knowing), affective (moral feeling), and behavioural (moral action) dimensions. These dimensions interact continuously within adolescents’ social environments and daily training activities. Family support and a positive social environment strengthen the implementation of moral values outside the training centre. In contrast, negative peer influence, conflicting environmental values, unstable adolescent psychology, and inconsistency in practising moral values become inhibiting factors. The study also reveals that adolescents interpret the organisation’s motto not only as physical strength but also as spiritual and moral strength. This internalisation is reflected in disciplined behaviour, responsibility, and self-control in everyday life. Therefore, effective moral internalisation requires consistent support from family, community, and educational environments to sustain adolescent character development.
