Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia's digital economy is growing rapidly with e-commerce transactions continuing to increase. However, this is accompanied by increasing cyber threats that endanger the security of online transactions. Cyber law, through the ITE Law and the Personal Data Protection Law, plays a vital role in maintaining the security of these transactions, but its implementation still faces various challenges. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of cyber law in protecting the security of e-commerce transactions in Indonesia, identify gaps in regulations, and provide recommendations for improving digital security. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with experts and document analysis related to cyber law regulations and security incident reports. Samples were selected purposively from regulators, cybersecurity experts, and e-commerce representatives. The results of the study show that although cyber law regulations already exist, their implementation is not optimal. Many business actors have not complied with security standards, and law enforcement against violations is still weak. In addition, the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) has an important role, but limited resources and coordination are obstacles. Public education about cyber security also still needs to be improved. Stronger collaboration between the government, private sector, and the community is needed to improve the security of online transactions, as well as stricter enforcement of regulations to create a safer e-commerce ecosystem in Indonesia. Abstract

Abstract

The development of the digital economy has encouraged the emergence of the gig economy as a new form of work relationships in urban areas. Platform-based jobs offer additional time flexibility and earning opportunities, but on the other hand they also present uncertainty and pressures that affect the social lives of their workers. This study aims to analyze the impact of the gig economy on family structure and social relations in urban environments, focusing on the Indonesian context. Using an exploratory qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observations of gig workers from various platforms, as well as their family members. The results show that gig work leads to a shift in domestic roles, a decrease in the quality of family interactions, and role conflicts due to unclear work boundaries. Additionally, gig workers tend to experience decreased participation in community activities, leading to social isolation and reduced social cohesion in the residential environment. This study confirms that the impact of the gig economy is not only economic, but also social and structural, so there is a need for policy interventions that support social protection and work-life balance for urban gig workers.

Abstract

The long journey of Islamic civilization shows that the transmission of knowledge did not only take place in the Middle East, but also included a trajectory from Andalusia to the Islamic East, including the archipelago. Andalusia as the intellectual center of Islam in the West played an important role in producing monumental works in the fields of philosophy, Sufism, and Islamic law which later influenced the mindset and religious practices in other regions. This research aims to identify and analyze the process of intellectual transfer from Andalusia to Nusantara through the network of scholars, classical works, and Islamic educational institutions. Using a historical qualitative approach and hermeneutic analysis techniques, this research traces the intellectual traces of Andalusian figures and the transformation of their ideas in the local context of the archipelago through manuscripts, scholarly sanads, and cultural adaptations. Data were collected through literature study, manuscript analysis, and network mapping of scholars. The results showed that the process of knowledge transfer took place through transnational intellectual pathways involving civilization nodes such as Cairo, Baghdad, and Delhi, before reaching scholarly centers in the archipelago such as Aceh and Java. The main ideas of thinkers such as Ibn Rushd and Ibn Arabi were localized in the form of poetry, suluk, and yellow books. Islam Nusantara thus proves to be a synthesis of global intellectual traditions and local culture, confirming its strategic position in the world's Islamic civilization.

Abstract

The Muslim fashion industry is one of the creative sectors with rapid growth in the ASEAN region, along with the increase of the Muslim middle class, internet penetration, and halal lifestyle trends. Digital transformation through e-commerce is a key catalyst that allows local brands to expand their market reach to the regional level. However, this dynamic also presents challenges in the form of cross-border regulations, logistical barriers, low digital literacy, and global competition. This study aims to analyze the transformation of the local Muslim fashion industry through e-commerce in ASEAN by emphasizing the driving and inhibiting factors, local brand adaptation strategies, as well as economic, socio-cultural, regulatory, and technological implications. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-comparative design. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with industry players, questionnaires open to consumers, and digital observations of marketplaces and social media of Muslim fashion brands in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Thailand. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques and source triangulation. The findings of the study show that e-commerce is driving the significant growth of the local Muslim fashion industry, with the main adaptation strategies in the form of omnichannel marketing, influencer collaboration, culture-based storytelling, and sustainable fashion innovation. The main barriers include logistics issues (35%), cross-border regulation (30%), digital literacy (20%), and global competition (15%). Digital transformation has proven to have implications for increasing market access, strengthening ASEAN Muslim identity, and the need for harmonization of halal regulations and digital technology integration.

Abstract

The revocation of fuel subsidies creates significant economic pressure on MSMEs, especially the culinary and fashion sectors, through increased operational costs that erode competitiveness. The transformation towards a sustainable business model through the adoption of green energy technology is an urgent need to build business resilience. This study aims to: (1) Analyze the impact of the revocation of fuel subsidies on the cost structure and competitiveness of MSMEs; (2) Identify the most feasible green energy technologies; (3) Formulate an integrated sustainable business model. The research uses a mixed-methods explanatory sequential approach. Quantitative data was collected through a survey of 301 MSMEs, followed by in-depth interviews and FGDs for qualitative data. Data analysis uses inferential statistics and thematic analysis. The increase in fuel increased the operating costs of culinary and fashion MSMEs by an average of 22.3% and 18.7%. Small-scale solar panels are the most technically feasible (score 4.2/5), while biomass stoves are the most economically feasible (ROI 25-35%). Successfully formulated a "Green-Driven Circular Model" based on three pillars: operational efficiency, green value proposition, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. The adoption of green energy technology has proven to be effective as a post-subsidy adaptation strategy. The implementation of a sustainable business model requires collaboration between the government (incentives), technology providers (mentoring), and MSMEs. The findings of this study provide strategic guidance for MSMEs and policy makers in the transition to a green economy.

Abstract

Indonesia faces multidimensional challenges due to the intertwined food, energy, and climate crises that exacerbate structural inequalities in sustainable development. These interconnected crises are characterized by a 15.8% decline in food productivity (from 95 to 80 million tons), a 36% increase in fossil fuel-based energy consumption (from 220 to 300 TWh), and a 22% surge in carbon emissions (from 450 to 550 million tons CO₂) over the period 2015-2023, collectively threatening national resilience across economic, social, and ecological dimensions. This study aims to analyze systemic linkages between sectors, evaluate existing policies, and formulate adaptive, evidence-based integrative strategies. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this research combines quantitative analysis of secondary data from authoritative sources (BPS, FAO, IEA, IPCC) and qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews with 15 experts representing government ministries, academic institutions, and NGOs. The analytical technique involves dynamic system modeling to simulate three policy scenarios: Business as Usual, Green Transition, and Integrated Resilience. Findings demonstrate that sectoral policies operating in silos are insufficient to effectively address this crisis. The Integrated Resilience scenario proved most effective, projecting a reduction in energy consumption to 280 TWh (20% lower than Business as Usual), carbon emissions to 450 Mt CO₂ (25% reduction), and an increase in food production to 90 Mt (12.5% improvement) by 2030. Furthermore, national institutions still exhibit low levels of policy integration, characterized by fragmented programs across sectors and inadequate inter-ministerial coordination mechanisms. These findings underscore the need for data-driven, collaborative, and systemic policy reformulation to ensure long-term national resilience and sustainable development pathways.
