Abstract

Education plays a vital role in human life as it is expected to enhance the nation's intelligence. The development of creative thinking in students is influenced by the encouragement or motivation provided by teachers. This ability can grow when teachers effectively stimulate students' creative thinking processes. Therefore, it is important for educators to innovate their teaching strategies to maintain student motivation. One method that can maximize the brain's potential and foster creativity is mind mapping. At MI Muhammadiyah Panican Purbalingga, many teachers still use traditional teaching methods. To address this, a training program focusing on practical mind mapping was implemented. The primary goal of this activity was to enhance the teachers' understanding of mind mapping as a tool to support learning. The training provided teachers with insight into how this method can improve lesson delivery and foster student creativity. The results showed that teachers were enthusiastic about participating, and some were already aware of the benefits of mind mapping in enhancing learning. This highlights the importance of conducting further mind mapping training to help teachers develop more effective and creative lesson plans. Additional support and motivation from government stakeholders are essential to advance the development of these educational activities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the open poverty rate (TPT) and the poverty rate in Jambi City from 2014 to 2023. Poverty and poverty are important issues in regional development because they directly impact community welfare. This study employed a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational approach, and data analysis was conducted using the Pearson correlation test. Secondary data were obtained from the Jambi City Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results of the normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, making them suitable for analysis using Pearson. The correlation analysis showed a correlation coefficient between the TPT and poverty of 0.049 with a significance level of 0.893, indicating no significant relationship between the two variables. This finding suggests that poverty is not the sole factor determining the poverty rate in Jambi City. Therefore, poverty alleviation requires a multidimensional approach that focuses not only on employment but also includes education, distribution of social assistance, and equitable regional development.

Abstract

Pacitan district recorded the highest Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) in Eastern Java Province. Meanwhile, Madiun city which is one of the largest cities in East Java Province, is ranked only 34 out of 39 cities in 2023. This condition raises concern for the local government, perticularly the Department of Manpower,in ensuring that the productive-age population can be optimally absorbed into the labor market. The LFPR is categorized as time series data, thus forecasting method are required to estimate its future trends. This Study compares the performance of the Double Exponential Smoothing Holt (DESH) method and the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) Box-Jenkins approach in forecasting the LFPR of Madiun City. The empirical result show that the ARIMA (1,0,1) model provides better accuracy compared to DESH. The forecasting result  indiacte that the LFPR of Madiun City is project to reach 67,19% in 2024, 67,20% in 2025, and 67,21% in 2026, with  Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 14,48; Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 3,80 and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 4,75%. These finding are expected to serve as reference for future research and practical input for policymakers in formulating strategies to improve labor LFPR in Madiun City.
