Abstract

Guidance and Counseling (GCC) services play a crucial role in supporting the all-round development of students. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of nursery services in Padang Long High School 1 based on national regulations and professional practices. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving kindergarten teachers and students as respondents. Results showed that nursery services had been run to standards, yet there was still room for development, particularly in the utilization of technology and internal coordination systems. These findings provide important implications for the development of nursery services that are responsive to contemporary educational challenges.

Abstract

The digital era has a major impact on how teachers approach, construct and apply science in educational contexts. This study aims to find challenges in developing science from the perspective of scientific philosophy, especially the essence, epistemology and axioms based on scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that teachers face fundamental changes in the validity of knowledge, obtaining information and moral responsibility in using it. On the other hand, administrative and systematic costs are practical obstacles in the development of teacher experts. Therefore, it is necessary to improve digital reading and writing skills, to improve the philosophical foundations of teaching activities, and to support political support for the sustainable development of science in secondary education environments.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the contribution of constructivism theory in career guidance services at the Senior High School (SMA) level. With a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this article examines the contribution of this theory to students’ understanding of themselves and their future. The results of the review indicate that constructivism theory, including the narrative and Life Design approaches, is able to form collaborative interactions between counselors and students in developing meaningful career identities. This study emphasizes the need for a paradigm shift from a directive model to a meaning-based dialogical approach.

Abstract

The study digs into the challenges, supporting factors, and research trends in guidance and counseling (BK) management in Indonesian secondary schools. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol, the team searched Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, Neliti, and various university repositories for works published from 2010 to 2025. Out of 103 articles, only 14 fit the inclusion criteria. The review exposes structural, technical, and cultural barriers: counselors overloaded with non-BK tasks, inadequate facilities, weak professional supervision, and little support from school policies (Pratiwi, 2012; Rahman, 2019; Abdullah, 2021; Yusuf, 2023). On the positive side, school leadership, counselor training, and inter-party collaboration help the process (Lubis, 2022; Irawan, 2022). Most studies rely on descriptive qualitative methods, but few focus on supervision models, technology, or longitudinal, evidence-based research. This paper calls for stronger guidance counseling management through institutional and policy reforms.
