Abstract

Children Development and Characteristic in elementary school-age are different. Each child is different, Low class students between high class students are different. The students come to school in order to be able to follow the education well. But It will not last forever. The problems that they face come from inability in doing assignment,wish, competition among friends, less motivations to study, less supports from parents and others. Deviant behavior also comes from many forms such as, bothering friend, breaking schools facilities, hard in focusing the attention, often musing, and playing-truant. The puroses of this dedication are : 1) class teachers and subject teachers can make a profgram of leadership and Counseling which is integrated into the lesson with tematic approach. 2) Giving Individual Counseling service to help the development and problems of students in Elementary School. The target of this dedication is subject teachers and class teachers of Elementary school in West Pasaman Regency. The method that is used in this research is Descriptive Quantitative, which describes the real condition. Elementary school teachers have had Basis Counseling skill to help students who have problems at school. 30% of elementary school teachers have had basis counseling skill to help students problems at school, and there are still some elementary school teachers who have low Counseling skill.

Abstract

This study discusses guidance and counseling accountability in schools so that school counselors can demonstrate their duties as instrumental personnel in achieving optimal student competencies. One model of accountability activities is the MEASURE model developed by Stone and Dahir (2016), as a six-step accountability process that helps school counselors to implement a component of accountability into counseling and guidance programs. The advice in this study is for school counselors to conduct In-Service Training to help them improve their skills in accountability.

Abstract

Disasters are sudden events that come from nature, non-nature, and social disasters. Natural disasters, non-natural disasters, and social disasters are very frightening events.Disasters cause damage, destruction, fear, anxiety both physically and psychologically. Disasters bring trauma that is temporary or permanent. This article is to describe disaster management solutions through the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) counseling approach and cultural perspective that will provide a very significant strength in managing post-disaster trauma. REBT invites individuals to always think rationally and reduce irrationality. The Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach constructs ABC behavior: A (Activating event), B (Belief), and C (Emotional Consequence) change of behavior. REBT is an approach that seesindividuals as part of culture.Individuals experience a process of change personally as the influence of culture in which the influence results in having irrational thoughts.

Abstract

Bimbingan dan konseling berorientasi Khalifah Fil Ardh (BK KFA) dibangun berdasarkan tujuan pendidikan dan konsep ajaran agama Islam yang mengatakan bahwa Allah menciptakan manusia sebagai pemimpin untuk memelihara dan mengelola alam semesta sehingga tidak menimbulkan kerusakan di bumi ini. Pencapaian tujuan pendidikan sesuai dengan visi dan misi sekolah, memerlukan kurikulum, personalia, isi/materi layanan, fasilitas, prosedur pelaksanaan, kerjasama GBK/Konselor dengan Staf Sekolah Terkait (SST), evaluasi pelayanan BK, kriteria keberhasilan, dan dukungan sistem. BK KFA ini penting karena setiap manusia adalah pemimpin yang masing-masing akan diminta tanggung jawab kepemimpinannya, dan manusia sebagai hamba Allah senantiasa berupaya meraih kesempurnaan insani dengan mendekatkan diri kepada Allah Swt. untuk mendapatkan ridhoNya. Dengan ridho Allah manusia akan memperoleh kebahagiaan hidup di dunia dan di akhirat. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pendidikan dan juga tujuan BK di sekolah diarahkan pada mendidik dan membimbing siswa dalam mengembangkan perilaku KFA.

Abstract

This article aims to present the strategy of developing an experience-based group guidance model as an effort to prevent LGBT behavior on students. Specifically, it aims to discuss: (1) practical needs and strategic needs that include student needs, counselor needs, achievement needs, institutional needs and situational needs; (2) the profile of student needs for experience-based group guidance as an effort to prevent LGBT behavior on students 3) based on the needs analysis, a need map is made to determine the service materials to be provided (4) the development of the guidance model of the group as an effort to prevent LGBT behavior on the students and (5) model validation through the implementation of experience-based group counseling model as an effort to prevent LGBT behavior on college student. With this strategy is expected to be developed model of experience-based group guidance as an effort to prevent LGBT behavior on students.

Abstract

This study is aimed to produce a model of a group counseling with trait and factor approach to improve the maturity of SMAN students’ career choices. Research design is research and development using quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data are gathered based on field problems which is tested with validity test, effectiveness, and practicality. Meanwhile, qualitative data are collected by using observation, interview and focus group discussion. The research product is in the form as the group counseling model with trait and factor approach to improve the maturity of students’ career choices, counseling guidebook of trait and factor group for school counselors. Ultimately this model can be a prototype and standard in group counseling with a trait and factor approach to improving the maturity of students’ career choices.

Abstract

Students’ experiencing problems on mathematics learning outcomes at school and many students who did not complete the study of mathematics. Self-efficacy and independent learning math is suspected of influencing factors. This study aimed to examine the contribution of self-efficacy, independent learning math mathematics on learning outcomes. The approach of this research was quantitative with correlational method. The population of this research consists samples 305 and 173 students. The instrument used a Likert scale model. Data were Analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed that there is a contribution of self-efficacy and independent learning math to mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Study skill is the skill acquired by training student and learning can Enhance independence. In fact, there are many students who have not good study skill. Achievement motivation is one of the factors that prediction students study skill. The purpose of this research is to examine the contribution of achievement motivation toward study skill. This research used quantitative with descriptive correlation method. The population of this research is 625 and 244 samples of guidance and counseling majors students, UniversitasNegeri Padang. The instruments of the research used the Likert scale model, value of reliability are 0.841 and 0.842. The Data were Analyzed with simple regression. The result of this research shows that there is a contribution (25.2%) of achievement motivation toward study skill.

Abstract

The depletion of students’ prosocial behavior is one of the problems associated with how students’ religiosity level and how students conform to behavior of peers. The aims of this study were to reveal the relationship between religiosity, peer conformity with students’ attitude toward prosocial behavior. The method used was quantitative, descriptive correlational type. The population was 332 students and 62 students were taken as the sample by using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments are religiosity scale (17 valid items, α=0,806), peer conformity scale (15 valid items, α=0, 732) and students’ attitude toward prosocial behavior scale (53 valid items, α=0,944). The data were analyzed by multiple regression. The result showed a correlation coefficient R = 0,638 and p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). That result indicated there is a positif and significant relationship between religiosity and peer conformity with students’ attitude toward prosocial behavior. The implication of this study could be used as need assessment to guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

Career planning is important in the career development of students. Students in achieving careers often experience obstacles, for it takes an effort to overcome them. Student's perceptions on Majors are the factor that allegedly affects student's career planning. This study aims to describe the contribution of student's perceptions on majors toward student’s career planning. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive method. The population was 380 and the sample was 195 students. The instrument about student’s perception on majors and student's career planning used Likert scale model with reliability 0.957. Data were analyzed using simple regression technique. The result shows that student's perception on majors was positive and student’s career planning in the high category. There is a contribution (33.6%) of student's perception on majors towards student’s career planning.
