Abstract

It is important to introduce English early so that learners have the habit of hearing and understanding its meaning. Embedding bilingual English in the learning process will shape learners' habits to become more familiar with English. The purpose of this study is to analyze the language strategies set by teachers in bilingual learning using video media in elementary schools. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The teacher's learning will be analyzed using the learning process instrument, then it will be studied descriptively. The results of the analysis of the bilingual learning video found that the teacher used the Problem-Based Learning model and language strategies in the form of code-switching between English and Indonesian. This strategy helps improve concept understanding, communication skills, and learners' confidence in using a foreign language. The use of video media also supports the bilingual learning process by presenting the material visually and contextually. The conclusion confirms that bilingual learning, when designed in a planned and consistent manner, can strengthen learners' linguistic abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of audio media in English learning in grade 3 of SD Negeri Wates 02. This study is based on the importance of listening and speaking skills in foreign language learning at elementary school level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and audio media assessments. The results of the study showed that the majority of students felt interested and motivated by the use of audio media. Audio media was considered appropriate to the subject matter, had good technical quality, and was able to increase active participation and student understanding in learning. However, technical obstacles were found such as a less-than-optimal sound system that affected the clarity of the sound. Overall, audio media has been shown to have a positive impact on students' interest, participation, and learning outcomes in English learning. This study recommends improving the technical quality of audio delivery so that its effectiveness is increasingly optimal in supporting the learning process.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of AR-based diorama-assisted project-based learning on fourth-grade students’ understanding of photosynthesis and learning outcomes at Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Elementary School. A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design was employed, involving 60 Grade 4 students divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group received instruction through project-based learning supported by an AR-based photosynthesis diorama, while the control group was taught using conventional instructional methods. Data were collected through pretests and posttests and analysed using normality and homogeneity tests, independent-samples t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the data met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The independent samples t-test indicated a statistically significant difference in posttest learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups (t = −5.088, p < 0.05). In addition, the experimental group achieved a higher mean posttest score and a higher N-Gain value than the control group. These findings demonstrated that AR-based diorama-assisted project- based learning was more effective than conventional instruction in improving students’ understanding of photosynthesis and learning outcomes.
