Abstract

The maintenance dredging work at Ulee Lheue Port aims to maintain optimal water depth for navigation activities. However, this activity involves various risks that must be systematically identified and managed. This study employs the IBPRP (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Opportunities) method to analyze potential risks in the dredging process.The analysis results indicate four major risks, consisting of two medium-level risks and two high-level risks, with no low-level risks identified. The high-level risks have the potential to significantly impact the stability of the port basin and worker safety. To mitigate these risks, strategies adhering to occupational safety standards and environmental protection measures are implemented, such as the adoption of safer dredging technologies, strict operational supervision, and workforce training.By implementing appropriate risk identification and mitigation measures, the dredging process can be carried out more safely, efficiently, and sustainably. This study is expected to serve as a reference for port management in designing more optimal and risk-based dredging strategies

Abstract

Baja hollow sebagai bahan bangunan alternatif dapat digunakan, dikarenakan baja hollow dapat menghemat biaya serta memiliki beberapa keunggulan yang menguntungkan. Pada penelitian ini digunakan baja hollow yang diisi mortar sebagai rangka bidang untuk perkuatan dinding. Penambahan batang diagonal pada rangka bidang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kekakuan serta kekuatan benda uji. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi jenis bukaan terhadap kapasitas dan daktilitas dinding rangka bidang baja hollow yang diisi mortar dalam menahan beban pushover serta untuk mengetahui rasio perbandingan nilai kapasitas dari dinding rangka bidang baja hollow yang diisi mortar dalam menahan beban pushover dengan variasi jenis bukaan terhadap nilai hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Nabila (2022) yaitu rangka bidang tanpa pasangan dinding beton pracetak. Terdapat 3 benda uji pada penelitian ini,yaitu dinding tanpa bukaan (DTB), dinding bukaan pintu (DBP), dinding bukaan jendela (DBJ). Sedangkan pada penelitian yang dilakukan Nabila (2022) terdapat 3 jenis benda uji yaitu rangka bidang tanpa bukaan (RBTB), rangka bidang bukaan pintu (RBBP), dan rangka bidang bukaan jendela (RBBJ) dengan hasil kapasitas berturut-turut sebesar 3,488 tf, 1,360 tf, dan 1,360 tf. Hasil penelitian ini adalah, dari pengujian pushover didapatkan kapasitas DTB, DBP, DBJ berturut-turut sebesar 5,8 tf, 2,19 tf, dan 1,07 tf. Daktilitas yang didapatkan DTB, DBP, dan DBJ berturut-turut sebesar 1,562, 2,286, dan 4,414. Serta rasio perbandingan antara rangka bidang dengan dinding dan tanpa dinding, pada tinjauan tanpa bukaan, bukaan pintu, dan bukaan jendela berturut- turut sebesar 1,663, 1,596,dan0,787.

Abstract

Motivation is an internal drive that directs individuals to act in order to achieve specific goals. In the context of university students, motivation plays a crucial role in decision-making, especially when choosing to engage in part-time work. These decisions may stem from financial needs, a desire to gain experience, or aspirations for financial independence. This study aims to explore the motivations of Sociology students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang in choosing part-time employment. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method involving five students who are currently working part-time in the Malang area. Data were collected through structured in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The analysis is framed using Max Weber’s theory of social action, particularly focusing on goal-oriented and instrumental rational actions. The findings indicate that students’ motivations for working part-time include using their free time productively, gaining experiences beyond academic settings, easing their parents' financial burdens, and fulfilling lifestyle needs. These students also demonstrate the ability to manage their time effectively by choosing flexible jobs and utilizing work hours to complete academic tasks. Theoretically, this study contributes to strengthening the application of Weber’s social action theory in understanding individual behavior in contemporary student life. Practically, the results provide valuable insights for educational institutions to develop supportive policies for working students, such as flexible class schedules, academic counseling services, and access to part-time job opportunities relevant to their field of study.

Abstract

The development of the times and science, especially in the field of civil engineering requires an increase in the quality of civil engineering structures so that many innovations are found with the use of steel profiles. One type of steel profile that can be found is the hollow steel profile. As a construction element, hollow steel has a weakness in carrying loads, this is because of the strength in the middle profile so that the hollow steel structure becomes more slender and prone to bending. To overcome these weaknesses, it is possible to fill in the mortar in the middle of the profile. The purpose of this study is to analyze the value of the capacity of the plate structure made of hollow steel structure by analyzing 3 types of capacity, namely yield capacity, maximum capacity, and allowable capacity. Broadly speaking, in this study 5 specimens were made which were divided into 2 variations of test objects, namely variations in profile sizes and variations in thickness of hollow steel profiles, each plate specimen being named BU1, BU2, BU3, BU4, and BU5. The results showed that there was a correlation between the size of the profile and the profile of the slab capacity value, where the larger the size and thickness of the profile, the better the capacity of the slab to withstand the load.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mendukung pengelolaan transportasi berkelanjutan di Universitas Teuku Umar (UTU) melalui analisis kebutuhan dan penataan fasilitas parkir berbasis data ANDALALIN 2023. Survei dilakukan dengan metode akumulasi dinamis selama 12 jam untuk memantau okupansi, durasi, dan indeks parkir. Hasil menunjukkan koefisien kebutuhan sebesar 0,19 SRP/mahasiswa untuk sepeda motor dan 0,03 SRP/mahasiswa untuk mobil, dengan defisit 46 SRP mobil pada kondisi eksisting. Proyeksi pertumbuhan mahasiswa 6% per tahun memperkirakan kebutuhan mencapai 2.795 SRP roda dua dan 441 SRP roda empat pada tahun 2033, serta 4.202 dan 663 SRP pada tahun 2041. Kapasitas rencana 3.551 SRP roda dua dan 1.110 SRP roda empat dinilai mencukupi hingga 2038. Rekomendasi meliputi penyediaan bus kampus, hunian mahasiswa, dan sistem parkir digital guna mendukung efisiensi ruang dan mewujudkan mobilitas kampus berkelanjutan.
