Abstract

This study examines how command sentences are used in the short story “The Crab Trap” to help elementary school students learn language. This study uses a literature study method with a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to analyze findings from various national and international journals related to the application and development of language learning through children’s literature media. This study examines various types of command sentences found in the story “The Crab Trap”. The findings of the study show that the command sentences in the story serve various purposes and have different forms, which reflect how language is used in real-world communication. The use of command sentence analysis in the short story “The Crab Trap” can enhance language learning strategies in elementary schools by providing students with contextualized and meaningful examples of language use and enhancing their understanding of the relationship between language structure and social interaction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai peran guru dalam melestarikan warisan budaya lokal di kalangan siswa SD N Nongkosawit 02. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa menurunnya minat siswa terhadap budaya lokal akibat pengaruh budaya asing dan kemajuan teknologi, selain kurang optimalnya kolaborasi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat dalam pelestarian warisan budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam pelestarian budaya lokal serta faktor pendukung dan hambatan yang dihadapi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dan teladan melalui kegiatan seperti upacara adat, pentas seni, dan penggunaan pakaian adat, sehingga mampu meningkatkan minat siswa terhadap budaya lokal. Selain itu, kolaborasi dengan masyarakat dan pemanfaatan teknologi edukatif turut memperkuat pelestarian budaya. Peran aktif guru dan komunitas sangat penting dalam menanamkan dan melestarikan budaya lokal di kalangan siswa. Oleh karena itu, sekolah perlu mengembangkan program pembiasaan rutin berbasis budaya yang dikemas secara interaktif dengan pemanfaatan teknologi serta kolaborasi antara budaya lokal dan materi umum agar siswa tetap dekat dan mengenal budayanya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of scrapbook media on student learning outcomes of the material of kingdoms in the archipelago of grade IV of Ciwuni 01 Kesugihan State Elementary School. This study applies a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were 30 grade IV B elementary school students who were determined as saturated samples. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, pretest-posttest. The data obtained were then analyzed using paired sample tests and N-Gain tests. The results showed an average pretest of 68,50 increased to 85,83 in the posttest. The results of the paired sample t-test of the study obtained a t-test value (-12.095) with a significance of 0,000 <0,05 and the N-Gain Test obtained an average of 59,69 "quite effective" with t count> t table, namely 12,095> 2,045, so it can be seen that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This shows that scrapbook media has a significant and effective influence in improving the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of Ciwuni 01 Kesugihan Elementary School on the material of kingdoms in the archipelago.
