Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a health promotion activity in increasing public awareness of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in Sakuru Village, Monta District, Bima Regency. The program was motivated by the low public awareness of the importance of PHBS, which contributes to the high prevalence of environment-related diseases, such as diarrhea and respiratory infections. The health promotion activity was conducted using a participatory approach, involving community leaders, housewives, and youth as change agents. The results indicate that the activity successfully improved the participants' knowledge and awareness of PHBS, with many participants starting to implement healthy behaviors, such as using proper sanitation facilities and managing waste. However, challenges remain in changing long-established habits. The evaluation suggests that the health promotion activity was effective in increasing public awareness, but sustained behavioral change requires continuous support from various stakeholders and collaboration between the government, community, and educational institutions.

Abstract

Social conflict is an inevitable aspect of community life, which, if not properly managed, can result in social, economic, and psychological losses. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the compromise approach as an intervention model for resolving social conflicts in Kumbe Village, Rasanae Timur District, Bima City. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, involving informants from community leaders, village officials, police officers, mediators, conflict actors, and affected residents. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, with validity ensured through triangulation and member checking. The findings indicate that the Head of Kumbe Village consistently applied two conflict resolution styles: accommodation and compromise. The accommodation style is characterized by cooperation, openness to input, providing space for other parties, and maintaining harmony, which fosters a peaceful atmosphere and reduces tension. The compromise style is implemented through a give-and-take principle, emphasis on common ground, temporary resolutions in urgent situations, and practical decision-making, allowing conflicts to be resolved quickly, fairly, and acceptably to all parties. This study confirms that the compromise approach serves as an effective intervention model for managing social conflicts at the village level.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the skills and economic independence of the residents of Talabiu Village Woha District Bima Regency, through training in the production of soft-boned bandeng presto (pressure-cooked milkfish). Talabiu Village has significant potential in milkfish cultivation; however, the added value of its products remains low due to limited post-harvest processing. The training was organized by PKBM Arrahman in collaboration with the Directorate of Courses and Training, Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, from July 1 to 20, 2025. The implementation methods included socialization, participatory training, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. The training materials covered the potential of milkfish resources, the bandeng presto production process, sanitation and hygiene practices, packaging techniques, and basic marketing strategies. The results show that participants successfully completed all stages of the production process and produced bandeng presto with good organoleptic qualities (taste, aroma, and texture). This activity had a positive impact on improving participants’ technical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and the economic value of local fishery products. It is expected that this program will continue through independent production and the development of small-scale milkfish processing enterprises within the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai pengaruh kehadiran minimarket Alfamart dan Indomaret terhadap pendapatan pedagang kecil di Kecamatan Rasanae Barat Kota Bima NTB baik sebelum maupun sesudah adanya Alfamart dan Indomaret di Kecamatan Rasanae Barat. Dalam kaitannya dengan penelitian ini secara umum pedagang kecil yang ada di Kecamatan Rasanae Barat. Sejak hadirnya Alfamart dan Indomaret di Kecamatan Rasanae Barat, tentunya memberikan pengaruh bagi pendapatan mereka. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penelitian lapangan dan menggunakan pendekatan yang bersifat kualitatif deskriptif yaitu wawancara dengan pedagang toko kecil yang berjumlah 25 (dua puluh lima) orang, wawancara dilakukan dengan santai, dan tidak merumitkan pedagang, pertanyaan yang diajukan juga tidak bersifat mengintrogasi melainkan hanya untuk memperoleh data yang diinginkan guna menyelesaikan penulisan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya perubahan pendapatan pedagang yang sebelum adanya Alfamart dan Indomaret pendapatan pedagang selalu dari Rp.4.000.000-Rp.6.000.000 perbulan, namun setelah hadirnya alfamart pendapatan mereka mengalami penurunan hanya mencapai Rp.1.000.000- Rp.3.000.000. Dampak hadirnya minimarket Alfamart dan Indomaret terhadap pendapatan pedagang toko kecil di Kecamatan Rasanae Barat mengalami perubahan pendapatan. Mulai dari penurunan pendapatannya, penurunan jumlah konsumennya dan juga sulit untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan dan sulit untuk mengembangkan usahanya. Strategi dalam menjual penting dimiliki oleh para pedagang umumnya. Strateginya yaitu penataan ulang toko, penambahan jam operasional, penambahan jenis barang, pemberian label harga produk, pelayanan yang baik ke konsumen.
