Abstract

Background: The development of the pharmaceutical industry has produced drugs with similar names and physical forms, known as LASA. The similarity of LASA drugs is a serious concern because it can cause confusion among pharmacist and increases the possibility of errors at dispensing, such as taking the wrong drug. LASA drug management is pharmacist’s responsibilities in pharmaceutical services. This study aims to evaluate the knowledge of pharmacist and the management of LASA drugs in Semarang Regency Pharmacies. Method: This study is a non-experimental study. Questionnaires were given to pharmacists in Semarang Regency Pharmacies. The results were tested using Chi Square to determine the relationship between knowledge and management, knowledge and errors in taking LASA drugs and management and errors in taking LASA drugs. Results: The results of the study showed that the knowledge of pharmacists >70% was in the good category. LASA drug management has been carried out in >70% of pharmacies. There are still 32.47% medication errors in taking LASA drugs. Analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between knowledge, LASA drug management, and errors in taking LASA drugs. Conclusion: From this study it can be concluded that LASA drug management in Semarang Regency Pharmacies is in the good category.

Abstract

Skizofrenia merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan biaya pengobatan yang cukup tinggi dan membutuhkan pengobatan jangka panjang sehingga membutuhkan biaya yang besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penggunaan antipsikotika, biaya rata-rata pengobatan pasien skizofrenia dan outcome terapi penggunaan antipsikotika pada pasien skizofrenia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan rancangan cross-sectional dan pengambilan data secara retrospektif untuk memperoleh biaya dan outcome terapi penggunaan antipsikotika pada pasien skizofrenia rawat inap di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Daerah Surakarta. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien skizofrenia rawat inap yang dengan diagnosa skizofrenia yang menerima antipsikotika. Biaya yang dihitung meliputi, biaya obat antipsikotika, ruang perawatan, asupan gizi, penunjang, tindakan medis, obat dan alkes. Outcome yang diukur meliputi PANSS, perubahan berat badan dan frekuensi kejadian ekstrapiramidal. Hasil penelitian pada pasien skizofrenia yang dirawat, sebanyak 60 pasien memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Biaya rata-rata tertinggi yaitu kelompok antipsikotika kombinasi atipikal-tipikal (Rp.5.170.452,29), kelompok antipsikotika atipikal (Rp.4.145.912), kelompok antipsikotika tipikal (Rp.2.565.440). Outcome terapi penggunaan antipsikotika kelompok atipikal skor PANSS rata-rata 42,34, kejadian EPS sebesar 23,3%, kelompok tipikal skor PANSS 40,66, kejadian EPS 75%, sedangkan kombinasi atipikal-tipikal skor PANSS 54,00, dengan kejadian EPS 1,7%. Kelompok antipsikotika kombinasi atipikal-tipikal lebih efektif dalam penurunan skor PANSS dibandingkan dengan kelompok atipikal dan tipikal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelompok antipsikotika kombinasi atipikal-tipikal lebih efektif dalam penurunan skor PANSS tetapi memerlukan biaya terapi paling besar dari ketiga kelompok antipsikotika lainnya.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out in May 2025, involving 62 students from grades X, XI, and XII. The activity was initiated in response to the low level of scientific literacy among students at MTs Al-Mu’min Muhammadiyah Tembarak, particularly in the areas of data analysis, scientific writing structure, and the use of credible reference sources. The problems addressed in this program include improving students’ conceptual understanding of scientific writing and strengthening their practical skills in producing academic work that adheres to scientific standards. The purpose of the activity was to equip students with essential knowledge, technical writing skills, and the ability to utilize supporting technologies through systematic training and direct mentoring. The methods employed consisted of initial observation, interactive workshop sessions, two-way discussions, practical tasks in developing outlines and abstracts, and evaluation using questionnaires and Likert-scale surveys. The results indicated a meaningful improvement in students’ understanding, reflected by achievement levels of 100% for basic scientific writing concepts, 91.9% for reference and writing conventions, 87.1% for technology utilization, and 74.2% for writing structure. The activity evaluation also showed predominantly positive responses in the agree to strongly agree categories, ranging from 38.7% to 66.1%. These findings demonstrate that the implemented training approach effectively enhanced both the conceptual and practical abilities of the students. In conclusion, the program successfully improved students’ scientific literacy and writing skills. Suggestions for future activities include providing continued mentoring, optimizing the use of writing-support technologies, and integrating project-based learning to ensure sustained mastery of scientific skills.
