Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious public health challenge in Indonesia, particularly among children under two years of age. Poor quality complementary feeding (MP-ASI), especially inadequate intake of animal protein, is a major contributing factor to stunting. This community service program aimed to empower families to understand, develop, and implement protein-rich complementary feeding menus as a strategy for preventing stunting among toddlers. The methods included interactive nutrition education, demonstrations of complementary food preparation, hands-on practice in preparing daily menus at home, and evaluation based on participant feedback and short-term post-intervention monitoring. The program involved families with children aged 6–24 months and Posyandu health cadres. The evaluation results showed that this community service activity improved participants’ knowledge and skills in selecting nutritious local food ingredients and preparing complementary foods containing animal protein sources such as eggs, fish, and chicken. Participants were also able to develop more varied daily complementary feeding menus that met toddlers’ nutritional needs. Furthermore, follow-up monitoring conducted by cadres indicated an increased frequency of animal protein use in complementary feeding and the application of weekly menus as feeding guides. Participants reported that the educational materials were easy to understand and practical for daily implementation. This program demonstrates that family empowerment through education is an effective strategy to support stunting prevention at the community level. Sustainable and collaborative program implementation involving Posyandu cadres is strongly recommended to achieve broader and long-term behavioral change.

Abstract

The steadily increasing elderly population demands the strengthening of community-based empowerment programs, including digital literacy. This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of the Senior School Pintar (SSP) program in enhancing digital literacy and independence among the elderly in East Jakarta. The program was implemented for 25 elderly participants across 65 urban villages, totaling 1,625 participants, conducted over 6 months (12 learning sessions) from April to September 2025 using a hybrid learning approach. The evaluation design utilized a simple one-group pre-test and post-test method with skill observation instruments and satisfaction questionnaires. The results showed an increase in the digital capabilities of the elderly, including: WhatsApp usage increased from 35% to 85%, video call proficiency from 20% to 75%, access to health information from 25% to 80%, and digital self-confidence from 30% to 88%. A total of 92% of participants expressed satisfaction with the program. Furthermore, there was an improvement in the understanding of healthy lifestyles and social participation among the elderly. In conclusion, the SSP program has proven effective as a digital literacy-based empowerment model for the elderly and has the potential to be replicated at other community levels

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are among the most common occupational health problems experienced by administrative office workers. Work activities involving prolonged static sitting, combined with non-ergonomic postures and inadequate physical work environments, have a high potential to cause musculoskeletal problems. In addition, individual factors such as age, gender, body mass index (BMI), and health history also contribute significantly to the occurrence of MSDs. This study aims to systematically review the influence of individual factors and the physical work environment on musculoskeletal complaints among administrative office workers. The method employed was a SLR using the PRISMA approach. Literature searches were conducted in Google Scholar, PubMed, Semantic Scholar, and UI ScholarHub databases for publications from 2019–2025. The inclusion criteria consisted of peer-reviewed articles focusing on office administrative workers, discussing individual factors or physical work environment related to MSDs, and published in English or Indonesian. Articles without full text, non-empirical studies, and studies involving non-office workers were excluded. The selected studies were analyzed using thematic synthesis to identify patterns and relationships between risk factors and musculoskeletal complaints. Out of 132 identified articles, 20 articles met the inclusion criteria and were selected for further analysis. The findings indicate that age over 40 years, BMI ≥ 25, non-ergonomic working postures, and inadequate work equipment are the main determinants of musculoskeletal complaints. The body parts most frequently affected were the neck, lower back, and shoulders. This review recommends the implementation of ergonomic education, the provision of appropriate work facilities, and regular health evaluations to reduce the risk of MSDs among office workers
