Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of digital-based operational innovation in enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The background lies in the growing need for MSMEs to adapt to technological advancements in order to maintain their existence and improve business performance amid increasingly intense competition. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review method, data were collected from various credible academic sources published within the last five years (2019–2024), including journals, institutional reports, and relevant literature. The findings reveal that the adoption of technologies such as digital point-of-sale (POS) systems, cloud-based inventory management, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) significantly contributes to operational efficiency, market expansion, and service quality improvement. However, the digitalization process among MSMEs still faces several challenges, including low digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and inadequate access to training. In conclusion, the success of MSME digital transformation heavily depends on the collaboration between business actors, government, academia, and other stakeholders to build an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of Imam Abu Ishaq al-Syatibi's thoughts on Maqasid al-Syari'ah in the development of contemporary Islamic economics. Al-Syatibi divides Maqasid al-Syari'ah into three levels: dharuriyyat (basic needs), hajiyyat (additional needs), and tahsiniyyat (complementary needs), which encompass the five fundamental elements of human life: religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods to explore the influence of al-Syatibi's thought on economic policies, Islamic financial products, and the formulation of socially just policies. The research findings indicate that the application of Maqasid al-Syari'ah principles can enhance the well-being of the community through fair wealth distribution, productive zakat management, and the development of the Islamic financial sector. Al-Syatibi's thought is also relevant in formulating fiscal policies focused on social justice and poverty alleviation, as well as in addressing global economic challenges such as social inequality and environmental degradation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the challenges and strategies of Management Study Program students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) in understanding online lecture materials. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of closed questionnaires distributed to 25 respondents of fourth semester students. The results showed that although there were still technical problems such as unstable internet connections, the majority of students were able to adapt to the online learning system. The most dominant learning strategies used are active and independent strategies, such as reading, taking notes, repeating material, watching learning videos, and managing study time. In addition, group discussions through media such as WhatsApp and Telegram also help clarify understanding of the material. Students also rely on learning materials provided by lecturers through digital platforms (PDF, video, and LMS) as the main source of independent learning. This study concludes that students' success in understanding online lecture materials is strongly influenced by a combination of active learning strategies, group collaboration, and material support provided by lecturers. Therefore, continuous collaboration between students, lecturers, and institutions is needed to create a more effective and inclusive online learning system.
