Abstract

Islamic fintech is a financial technology innovation that integrates sharia principles with modern financial services, and now plays a strategic role in encouraging ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) based investments. As global awareness of the importance of sustainable development increases, Islamic fintech is emerging as an inclusive solution that not only complies with Islamic values, but also supports socially and environmentally responsible economic growth. This study aims to analyse how Islamic fintech implements ESG values, by examining its mechanisms, technological innovations, as well as its impact on environmental, social, and governance. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and secondary data analysis, this study found that Islamic fintech has successfully encouraged sustainable investment through various initiatives, such as Islamic crowdfunding for green projects, sustainability oriented MSME financing, and Green Sukuk issuance. The use of blockchain technology contributes to increased transparency and accountability, while Islamic financial literacy programmes expand people's understanding of the importance of ESG minded investments. In addition, close collaboration with Islamic financial institutions and regulators ensures compliance with sharia principles and ESG standards. The results of this study confirm that Islamic fintech is not only a modern financial instrument, but also a change agent capable of expanding access to sustainable investments and strengthening an inclusive and ethical financial ecosystem.

Abstract

Perkembangan fashion muslim secara global telah mengalami pertumbuhan yang signifikan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Semakin banyak masyarakat yang aware mengenai potensi pasar yang besar di kalangan konsumen muslim. Indonesia telah mendapatkan pengakuan dan menduduki peringkat ke 3 di sektor modest fashion dan berdiri sebagai pemimpin global dalam industri halal. Fokus pengembangan industri halal di Indonesia melibatkan analisis awareness terhadap produk halal, strategi promosi dan periklanan yang digunakan serta persepsi konsumen terhadap fashion muslim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh halal awareness dan advertising terhadap minat pembelian fashion muslim pada Tokopedia melalui persepsi konsumen sebagai variable intervening. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai alat pengumpulan datanya.Penelitian ini memiliki variabel intervening, maka harus dilakukan analisis jalur dengan menggunakan uji sobel. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 138 responden yang diperoleh dengan metode simple random sampling. Penelitian ini diolah menggunakan software Eviews 10 dengan metode analisis regresi berganda dan uji jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa halal awareness dan advertising masing-masing berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap minat pembelian dan persepsi konsumen. Sedangkan variable persepsi konsumen juga berpengaruh positif terhadap minat pembelian fashion muslim di Tokopedia. Hasil uji sobel juga menujukkan bahwa persepsi konsumen mampu memediasi hubungan antara halal awareness dan advertising dengan minat pembelian sehingga secara tidak langsung mempengaruhi variable halal awareness dan advertising terhadap minat pembelian fashion muslim pada Tokopedia.

Abstract

Objective – This study examines how Akseleran, a fintech company with a social entrepreneurship approach, serves as an inclusive financial innovation to address the financing gap for MSMEs in Indonesia. It does this by integrating adaptive risk management strategies with measurable social impact.Design/methodology/approach – . The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature study approach, reviewing scientific articles, industry reports, and actual case studies.Findings – Customer satisfaction is the most critical factor in customer loyalty, followed by green brand image and religiosity. However, greenwashing practices can weaken the relationship between religiosity and customer loyalty.Research limitations/implications – The results show that Akseleran implements a unique risk mitigation strategy through alternative data-based credit scoring, risk-based pricing, funding diversification, and protection through credit insurance. In addition, the case study shows that Akseleran's internal digital transformation has successfully improved service efficiency and supported the financing of more than 8,000 MSMEs until 2024.Practical implications – This research contributes to the development of an adaptive and resilient social-based fintech framework to support MSME empowerment.Originality/value – This study aims to analyse how Akseleran, as a social entrepreneurship-based peer-to-peer lending fintech platform, manages financial risk while creating sustainable social impact for MSMEs.
